The house was very nice and clean overall! The house could use some freshening up - perhaps fresh paint, area rug and newer living room furniture! Kitchen was well equipped but needs additional spoons and knives, red wine glasses and a shot glass! The back deck was nice and had four chairs and a picnic table. The biggest improvement to the house would be some type of cargo lift as the steps are steep and tough for older legs! Perfect view of the sound and a nice fishing dock.

Fo’get about it

The house was nice! Has everything you need in the kitchen. A few things need repaired in the upstairs bedroom (fan and screen on door). The hot tub was amazing a great view of the sound. Nice place to kayak however you would need to bring your own and not sure how you would get in the water. Location is close to Hatteras and the beaches. Plenty of places to eat.

Great house for family stay!

We had a great week in this home. First time staying on the sound and the views from the dock, decks, and hot tubs were fantastic. Ladder at the end of the dock makes it easy to get kayaks and boards in the water. Kitchen had everything we needed and the layout of the house is perfect.

Water front activities are always a hit and just a short drive to the beach as well. The house is very comfortable and we have loved visiting here for the past several years.

Beautiful Location

Great floor plan.Beautiful house on Pamlico Sound. Hubby went 3 days for bicycle ride He said Best he has felt in 3 years❀ Son and his wife enjoyed top floor very private for both couples.Lots of great seafood .Enjoyed deck watching the fish ,pelicans and a Blue Heron daily.Would stay again if return One of my husband’s favorite places.

Great place to unwind with family. The property is well appointed and very comfortable. We enjoyed coffee every morning on the deck overlooking the sound. Communication was great and the check in and check out process was very easy. Thanks again for another wonderful vacation!

This was our second stay here and it did not disappoint. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is nicely stocked, and the view of Pamlico Sound is breathtaking. Great Views! Wonderful location!

Our stay at Fo'get About It was wonderful! The views of the sound were amazing, and the close proximity to the beach and local restaurants very convenient. The house itself was exactly as described in the listing - quiet neighborhood, very spacious, clean and well appointed. The large deck and steady breeze made mornings and evenings special for our entire group. The 3rd floor hot tub was great and the private dock out back was perfect for our daily fishing fix! Communication with the owner was quick and easy. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Property for Families

We were familiar with the area and this was our first rental through VRBO. The communications with the host were excellent and the property was as described with no issues. Loved coffee on the back deck every morning and watched the birds and baitfish do their morning dances. We had our boat down as well and the dock was perfect. We managed several nice fish dinners including speckled trout, spanish mackerel and bluefish. Our little Cavachon "Hattie" enjoyed her morning walks meeting the neighbors.

We are not millionaires with a beach house. We are probably just like you with jobs,kids,dogs and everything else that goes along with them. We are blessed to have gotten this property many years ago before the prices went up and were able to swing the construction of this house in 2001. Since then it has been a adventure to have the home and the ability to share it with like minded people who enjoy the peace and quiet that the area provides.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

This home is the someday retirement home for our family. We have appointed as a home that is "away from home" . We enjoy cooking for family and we try to appoint the kitchen with utensils and amenities that allow our guests to enjoy the same.
We also enjoy the outdoors and find we can spend the day in and on the water right behind the house with no regrets for not going "to the beach"

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The house is set up as a beach house but we have done away with the reverse floor plans common with beach houses on the Outer Banks ( Kitchen and great room up top for a better view). Since we are right on the water we don't need the height and honestly we hate carrying groceries up 2 flights of stairs and you probably do too.
