Bahari means sea or ocean, and that is exactly what you will get at the Villa Bahari – endless views of the sea and ocean, no matter which way you turn …
This luxurious villa is second to none, located in the Eastern coast of Madeira close to the natural sand beach of Prainha. This part of Madeira is very special, different to all other areas in Madeira: more dry, more arid, yet strikingly beautiful.

There is a construction site going on next to the house, so it will cause some disturbing noises in working hours. By booking you are agreeing to these conditions. Thank you for your understanding, this situations is beyond our control.

The villa itself is stunning, with ample space and natural sunlight though out, with a gorgeous open space dinning and kitchen area, leading to the outside garden, barbeque and pool area. Wifi throughout, modern kitchen and laundry, garage and out door parking space…
With 5 ensuite bedrooms, allowing for a maximum capacity of 10 people, this villa is great for family holidays, friend get togethers or simply a great get away spot for 2 … One will not want to venture out of the Villa Bahari … Come, share this experience with us … and let yourself be taken in by the Villa Bahari …

Check in times are from 16h. In the event of availability, early check ins are possible.

Really nice location with fantastic view. Perfect for up to 5 couples. Great kitchen and living area with bar and always the fantastic ocean view.

Perfect for a relaxing family holiday :)

Lots of space available inside and outside .. every single bedroom have private bathroom and it was very convenient when you are a big group. The views are just stunning and very quite place. I really recommend this place. All was perfect.

Picture perfect, but practically lacking

Villa Bahari (named Villa Moniz on the house itself) is located on the windy side of Madeira with beautiful ocean views and easy access to PR8 hike along Ponta Sao Lourenco and water excursions departing from the Quinta do Lorde marina, like snorkeling in summer or whale watching in winter. The home is exceptionally large with almost too much living space to enjoy - would be great for a large party. Due to the wind, we were never able to enjoy the outdoor kitchen or dining area, and the firepit had no fuel and seemed to be a potential fire hazard due to the high wind and proximity to dry brush all around, so we avoided that. When we got to the villa, there was a terrible odor like smelled like sewage and mildew. We thought maybe it was due to dry water traps in the showers/sinks/toilets, so tried to go around and run the water for a few seconds in each room. But there was no water in the house. After multiple calls back and forth with property management, they were able to get someone to come out and get the water resumed on a Saturday evening, thank goodness. When we’re finally able to run water to all of the traps (along with opening all of the windows) we were hoping the smell would dissipate but it really never did. You become “nose blind” after a bit but as soon as you leave and come back, it’s still there. We cannot recommend this house for that reason.

We're also glad you appreciated the spacious layout of the house, which is indeed designed to comfortably accommodate larger groups. That said, we’re very sorry for the issues you encountered during your stay. The initial water outage was an unexpected and unfortunate situation, and we’re grateful for your patience while we worked to get it resolved — even managing to do so on a Saturday evening. However, we completely understand how the accompanying unpleasant odour would have made it difficult to fully enjoy the space. The smell you described is clearly not in line with the standards we aim to uphold. While running water through the traps was a good step — and we appreciate your proactive approach — it’s evident that the issue went beyond a simple fix. We’ve already passed this on to our maintenance team for deeper investigation and resolution, as no guest should have to compromise on comfort. We also take note of your comments regarding the firepit and the impact of the wind on using the outdoor amenities. Your concerns about safety are valid, and we will re-evaluate the setup to ensure everything is not only functional but also secure and practical given the local weather conditions. Thank you again for your honest feedback. We regret that your experience wasn’t as smooth as it should have been and truly hope we’ll have the opportunity to welcome you back to one of our properties under better circumstances.

The villa was very modern trendy over all floor's. Bathrooms in all the right places. Seaview's excellent, pool should have heating 🤔 down fall. But a beautiful home . I've been Portugal three times now, planning next visit 2023.
