Lovely sweet cosy cottage. Well equipped, managed to cook a roast dinner ! Great garden for dogs . Nice neighbour . Comfy beds . Great position . Would definitely book again .

It was our second stay at Goatscliffe Cottages which we chose again for its proximity to Buxton, Chee Dale, Bakewell and the Monsal Trail.

The cottage was very cute and cosy but a little small for 4 adults when the weather wasn’t good. If we had good weather we could have eaten outside and made more use of the summerhouse. The shower on the top floor was extremely small, my husband good barely fit in it and he is not obese. A booklet with information would have been useful, we had no idea how to put the bin out, the neighbour told us the day after bin day. The cottage was well stocked with kitchen equipment.

There was nothing not to like with our stay at the cottage. It was immaculately clean and it suited my friend and I perfectly with he secure and well laid out garden being great for my dog. We made use of the comfortable patio furniture and enjoyed the view to the woods and listening to the birds. The cabin at the end of the garden with seating etc is a bonus.Roadside parking outside was fine. The neighbours were friendly and helpful especially on bin day. Grindleford is a great place.....walks, community shop/cafe, train station

Cosy little cottage but not really big enough for 4 adults, kitchen was far too small. Also nowhere to store dirty boots as walk straight onto a carpet. Nice log burner but only one log for 3 nights.

The cottage was in ecellent decorative order and very clean. The kitchen is very small and no room to fold out the table for eating in the main room. Bedrooms very comfortable. Easy to park on the road.

We enjoyed our time in Grindelford. This cottage was clean and well-maintained to a high standard. The garden was great for our dog, and the summer house looked lovely, though we didn't use it during our stay. It is a tight, small space, but suited our needs well. It was close to so many things, and parking was easy.

We chose this area because Grindleford offers everything we love about the Peak District in one place. It is surrounded by some of the most beautiful walking and cycling routes in the area, with places like Padley Gorge, Froggatt Edge and the Longshaw Estate right on the doorstep. The scenery is open, peaceful and constantly changing, making it a place you never tire of returning to.

What we enjoy most is the balance the village offers. It feels quiet and tucked away, yet has a train station with great links to nearby villages and cities, making it easy to explore without always using the car. We have spent a lot of time here ourselves and fell in love with how relaxed the area feels, whether you are heading out for long walks or simply enjoying the views from the garden. It is a place that encourages you to slow down and really enjoy being in the countryside.
