High quality apartment

High Spec apartment that was spacious and very clean. Showers powerful and hot. Beds very comfortable. The apart is front line on the crescent with lovely sea views and great for people watching. In a lovely quiet part of whitby. Couple of tiny issues fire alarm was activated and we evacuated building not sure of procedure for this.

Lovely comfortable flat in a lovely position - just a couple of niggles

We really enjoyed our stay, and it is certainly a very attractive five star flat in terms of decor, facilities, views, location, nearby parking (often problematic in Whitby) etc - but it was let down by a rather unpleasant drain smell in the bedroom with the en suite, which we couldn’t get rid of. Everything there looked spotless but didn’t smell good. Also slight anxiety due to the check in process, because we were told full details of accessing the flat would be sent 6 hours prior to check in. I checked my email regularly as we were driving there, becoming increasingly concerned as no info arrived. We had told them we’d arrive at 16:00, so at 15:22 I emailed and explained we hadn’t received any info about accessing the flat - receiving an instant reply, with access details, at 15:24! So all was fine in the end.

We're really pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall and appreciated the flat’s decor, facilities, views, and location—especially knowing how tricky parking can be in Whitby! We’re genuinely sorry, though, to hear about the unpleasant smell in the en suite bedroom. Although the flat is cleaned thoroughly, we understand how off-putting that must have been and will investigate the issue right away to ensure it’s fully resolved for future guests. We also appreciate your comments about the check-in process. While we aim to balance security with convenience by sending access details closer to arrival, we can see how the timing created some anxiety, especially while you were en route. We’ll review our process to see how we might improve communication in advance. Thanks again for staying with us—and for taking the time to share such constructive feedback.
