Beautiful character property, very in keeping with the gorgeous town it’s situated in. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated how close it is to the town, the little sunny yard, the lovely bedroom in the eaves and how comfortable the beds are. Malmsbury itself is a lovely town with local shops and eateries, and we did a long walk on the Saturday, following a route from a book at the house. Highly recommend

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. The position in the centre of town is ideal for our guests, and it is good that you enjoyed the facilities of the cottage including the comfortable beds the eaves bedroom, and that you were able to make the most of the sun shining in our little back yard. Unfortunately we can't always guarantee a sunny day however!! It is also good to see that you made good use of the local information in the cottage to plan your walk.

We had a lovely time exploring the Cotswolds and beyond with our kids. The house was just perfect for our needs, and we also managed to enjoy family dinners after long days. John is a marvellous host. We'd be back at anytime! Highly recommended!

Nice short stay accommodation

Very central, clean and well maintained property. Lots of places to eat and drink in Malmesbury and good walking area.

Clean and well situated. For such a historic property I would have expected it to be mouldy or drafty or full of spiders as I have experienced before but none of that applied. Everything worked well. The one thing that was frustrating at times was the dog next door that barked (but not.at night thankfully). Other than that, perfect. Easy to get anywhere in Malmesbury on foot. Also great instructions from hosts prior to arrival and in the house. Appreciated the sign with the history of the property.

Lovely stay in a great town centre cottage

Myself, my husband and our two teenagers had a great stay in this clean and smartly-decorated modernised cottage in the centre of Malmesbury. Very impressed with the size of the house. It was perfect for our base as we explored Malmesbury and it's surronding towns. Would recommend the property wholeheartedly.

Stay away

Ideally situated in the town, nicely presented and very tidy.The host kindly kept the heating on which made it very cosy to come home to after a day out.

Hi Elizabeth I am glad you found our cottage to be a cosy place ro return to after a day out. The central heating is pre-scheduled but easily overridden by guests using the thermostat dial, and can be supplemented by the electric fire in the sitting room if required.

Lovely cottage, perfect for family trip

Myself, husband and our two teenagers had a good stay at the cottage. The condition of the place is excellent. All beds were comfortable. Great living room/dining room layout, plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen size perfect, great for preparing meals in, everything you could need. Outside patio very nice for breakfasting in the sunshine!This is our second stay in the property and we'd heartily recommend it.

Liked it so much we have booked again … twice!

This is a beautifully kept property in the heart of Malmesbury. It is clean, spacious enough for two adults and two dogs, and has all of the amenities we needed. The location is stunning, with lovely walks and a park close by, the abbey, and pubs and eateries within walking distance. The property is ideal as a base if you want to venture further afield. John the owner has been an excellent host, very responsive to our messages and really helpful! We have booked agin (twice!) as we enjoyed the break so much!

The perfect stay! Can't recommend more;10/10. Delightful historical, cosy, comfortable cottage yet with modern features. Cottage had everything needed for a week stay. Extra touches were made with Christmas decorations to celebrate the festive season and a couple of treats were much appreciated. Best possible location for making the most of the township. John is the ultimate host with excellent communication.Will definitely stay again if we return to the West Country. John proved what a wonderful person he is as he was so gracious and accomodating when I made a hiccup with our dates. Such a delight to find this place. AAAA
