Super apartment!

Monica was a wonderful host - relaxed but extremely helpful and the property was generously stocked with everything one could want. A home away from home but in a classically Italian style. Grazie!

Wonderful stay in Spello!!

The apartment was exactly as described and is absolutely charming! Monica has provided all the comforts of home away from home. She also filled the fridge and cabinet with essentials and munchies to start our visit. She was helpful throughout our stay and we would not hesitate to stay here again. Best location, best hosts!

Delightful accommodation in the charming town of Spello. Monica went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Could not have been happier, even in spite of the 43 steps to our door! I heartily recommend.

perfect Spello house

We spent a very nice time in Spello. The apartment is very nice and located in a very beautiful place. The roof terrace has made it possible to spend fantastic evenings with wine from Umbria with views of the surroundings and the old roofs of the town. The building is beautifully flowered like the whole Spello. Monika welcomed us very warmly and was very helpful. Thank you very much for the wonderful stay and cake baked by Monika's mother.

A very special place

The apartment is lovely, delightfully and imaginatively decorated, perfectly comfortable with lots of elbow room. Monica is an extraordinary hostess and had stocked the kitchen with wines, beer, ham, cheese, fruit, eggs, milk, cream, coffee, juices and much more. To top it off her Mom baked the most delicious cake, timed hot for our arrival. This apartment is fully equipped with everything imaginable to guarantee a perfect stay. The location by a main entrance into the walled city and only a few yards from parking simply can't be beat, and Spello is perhaps Umbria's prettiest town. I have stayed in quite a few wonderful holiday apartments in Italy and elsewhere and none tops this. The very best of the best!

Best rental ever

We stayed here with our three young children. We travel a lot and this is hands-down the best place we have stayed. Spello is a beautiful town, and this is a perfect location to stay. It was close to the square, park, market, restaurants, shops and the mosaic museum. The home was beautiful and was decorated so thoughtfully. The home had everything we needed and was very clean. We absolutely loved hanging out on the rooftop terrace looking out to beautiful views. What really made our trip was our incredible hostess Monica. She was warm and caring and easily exceeded any expectations of a hostess. We arrived to a homemade cake on the kitchen table and a fully stocked refrigerator and pantry. She was a great resource of what to do in the area and where to eat. She even made reservations for us and helped research places. Spello overall is a perfect place to stay. In addition to exploring and enjoying Spello, during our visit we went to Pale for hikes (waterfalls and cave), Marmore Falls, parco avventura (ropes course, zip lines), Assisi, and did the Perugina chocolate factory tour. This is definitely a home you will want to stay in!

A wonderful Spello apartment

This is a truly lovely apartment. It is beautifully decorated and fantastically appointed with everything you could need. Spello is a wonderful little town and a great base to see Umbria from, with good shops and restaurants at you doorstep and the station only a short walk away. Monica was a great host, so lovely and helpful, and she supplied so much in the pantry it was amazing, even a surprise from her Mum. I highly recommend this apartment.

Extraordinary location, excellent host, a successful holiday.

A splendid house, an original and high class decor, an extraordinary location for traveling on foot or by car. This would be enough to give top marks to the Altana Suite apartment in which we stayed for our holiday in Umbria. We were also very pleased to see that the descriptions and photographs on the website faithfully represent the apartment, without surprises (actually there were some surprises but only good ones, like the homemade cake, or something already stored in the fridge...) but above all , we appreciated the professionalism, kindness and availability of Monica that even before our arrival has created the conditions to make sure that our stay started on the right foot. An extraordinary location + an excellent host = a successful holiday. Highly recommended.

Unique, cozy property with stellar views, a real Umbrian treat!

Our host, Monica welcomed us in Spello at a nearby parking lot and guiede us to the apartment, showed us everything. Answered any question, we might have about the area, and its sights. The apartment is absolutely adorable, so shabby sheak, totally outfitted with any amenity you might need. Our fridge was stocked with essentials so we did not need to go grocery shopping right away and Monica's mom baked us a delicious cake. The Spello House makes the backdrop for a fantastic Umbrian experience, the views are incredible from the roof terrace and so cozy to hang out at night. We were so impressed and would definitely without hesitation recommend the Spello House to our friends and family. Thank you, Monica.

We had a wonderful time in Spello. The apartment is so nicely decorated and Monica is the best host you can wish. We spent a lot of time on the roof terrace. We loved the cake her mom made for us! Diese Ferienwohnung ist im gesamten perfekt 👌!!! Sie liegt am Fuße des kleinen wundervollen Bergdorfes Spello. Traumhaft eingerichtet und auf jedes Detail wurde bis ins kleinste geachtet aber auch aufeinander abgestimmt.Monica unsere Verwalterin hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben.Ich und meine Frau so wie unsere Freunde haben es noch nie erlebt das wenn man ankommt der Kühlschrank mit allen wichtigen Grundnahrungsmitteln gefüllt ist und selbst der Espresso Kaffee ☕️ für den ersten leckreren Kaffee schon vorhanden ist.Schlafzimmer traumhaft und für jeden ein kleines schönes Bad 🛀 pro Schlafzimmer.Wir hatten nur Traumwetter und deshalb haben wir uns nur abends in der schönen Küche und dem Wohnzimmer aufgehalten.Aber selbst bei ☔️ Regen kann man es sich in der Wohnung tagelang mit offenem Kamin gemütlich machen.☕️Der Hit aber ist die wunderschöne Terasse oben über den Dächern von Spello von wo aus man einen Ausblick hat den man mit Worten nicht beschreiben kann!!!!👍 Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen wenn man sich Umbrien anschauen möchte,sich in SpelloHouse Altana einzumieten und von dort seine Tagestouren zu starten.Nochmal ganz lieben Dank an Monica und wir werden uns auf jedenfall Wiedersehen.😎Die vier Kölner 🚶🏃‍♀️🚶‍♀️🏃 Dirk,Carmen,Klaus und Li

Great apartment in a great town

Spello was a great base for exploring Umbria. Close to a motorway and less than an hour to many super towns and cities. Monica's house was very comfortable and at the edge of town (inside the impressive Roman gate but just 70m to the car park) which made day trips a breeze. We were there in January and had snow but the heating worked well and the fireplace was a treat. Kitchen was very well appointed and beds comfy. We needed assistance regarding an electrical issue and Monica was fast to respond and correct it. We loved Spello and would certainly stay in this apartment again and recommend it to any friends. In warmer months the terrace would be fantastic.

The property is centrally located and kept up very well with a lovely terrace full of plants.

This apartment and owner/manager were equally charming and accommodating. It was comfortable, bright with many unique details and artsy touches. I enjoy cooking and found the kitchen very well equipped and the refrigerator well stocked (compliments of Monica )! We enjoyed sitting in one night with a cozy fire... and walking the streets exploring the many wonderful shops and restaurants. Since we were in Spello on business This wonderful apartment became our home away from home. And Monica became our friend! We will be returning for another stay in the spring !!!
