Shepherds Cottage - Spacious cottage with sea views

Beautiful detached stone cottage on the outskirts of Beadnell village with sea and countryside views. Set in a large garden Shepherds Cottage has 4 large bedrooms all ensuite and plenty of living space for all of the guests - The lounge has views across the fields to the sea and has a wood fired stove, there is a formal dining room and seating area which leads into the large conservatory with a dining table which sits 12 and sofas for you to relax and enjoy the sunsets. The spacious farmhouse kitchen has seating for 10 and enjoys views over the garden.

Bedrooms:

1. Family bedroom with Superking bed and 1 single bed. - ensuite with jacuzzi bath
2. Twin bedded room with balcony - ensuite with shower
3. Double room with garden views - ensuite with shower
4 Family room with king size bed and single bed - balcony - ensuite with shower

In the garden there is a fully kitted out games room with full size snooker table, pool table and table tennis table and an indoor BBQ hut seating 10. The garden is fully enclosed so perfect for children and dogs. The beach is 15 minutes walk away through the village. There are other properties in the grounds which can be rented together for larger groups

We have been lucky enough to visit 3 times as a family. 1st time with both Mum and dad 2nd time with just Dad, his favourite cottage. 3rd time to enjoy the beautiful cottage.

Another fabulous stay

Just back from another week at the Cottage, Lodge & Bothy. It’s the ideal place for a family gathering, we had 15 adults, 4 kids and 4 dogs! Everyone had a great time, the cottages have everything you need and we always enjoy our time here. Weather was great for us and we even managed a swim in the sea everyday. Hope to return next year!

Wow this place is amazing Front the front it looks like a normal bungalow but when you go in it’s wonderful So many rooms, games room and barbecue hit outside too in the large garden We loved it so much we have booked again

A perfect location for a family gathering

The cottage is bigger than i imagined and really well arranged two families with little children and granparents. Great garden , huge games room and bbq hut kept everyone happy.

Fantastic place very spacious great for 2 families. Seating and dining areas brilliant. Would have liked an extra TV espically for kids maybe in the conservatory . Gardens are so dog friendly. Everything you need is supplied plus basic tea and coffee. Welcome pack lovely. You need a car to get about but can walk to the village. Beds very comfortable. Felt like home. Will re visit. 1 hairdryer 2 travel cots 2 high chairs. Plenty crockery and glass wear. Lovely towels and bedding but bring your own tea towels and cot bedding.

Family break

Great layout for extended family holiday, bed and pillows were spot on, one of the few places I have stayed where the bed and pillows suited me perfectly. Games room was fantastic and got a lot of use by all the family, having the separate conservatory, TV room and reading room as well as the games room meant if anyone wanted alone space they didn’t need to go to their bedroom which was great for those doing the odd bit of work while there.

The Heald Clan

A brilliant cottage in a good location,We as a famliy had a great time there, from cooking in the barbecue hut to spending time in the games room, the first I've seen on a guest cottage with a full size snooker table. Our granddaughter loved playing in tge spacious garden. A huge thanks to our host Samamtha and the team for providing a welcoming space for our holiday.

A very dirty kitchen

The kitchen / all utensils / glasses etc were very very dirty. I had to clean everything before it was used. We arrived to the dishwasher full of dirty dishes. The dishwasher filter was blocked with food. Not an acceptable reply from owner when feedback given.

Perfect cottage to stay in as a family whilst celebrating my daughter's wedding in the area which is my childhood home. The house is simply stunning and huge! Would definitely try to book again!

Fantastic location and lovely cottage

This was our 12th stay and it was as amazing as always, didn't want to come home. The cottage has everything you need and the games room is always popular. Sam is very friendly and is there to help with anything you need, would highly recommend, looking forward to our next stay x

Beautiful family cottage

Beautiful cottage great location 8 adults and 2 dogs , there was enough room to have time on your own if you wanted to . The indoor BBQ was great used it on a rainy day games room was a bonus’s for those night in . The cottage had everything you needed very comfortable beds great seating area .

lovely family Christmas holiday

A lovely spacious house. Ideal for bringing the family together. The games room was a huge hit. The garden was perfect for the dogs. Beautiful views. Lovely cosy lounge with the fire. Lovely farmhouse kitchen. A very homely feel about the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Loved it!

Loved staying here, 4 adults 3 kids and 3 dogs. Cottage had everything we needed and a big garden for dogs and kids. The kids loved the games room which is a super addition to any holiday. A great location for exploring
we went to Beadnell, Seahouses and Bamburgh beaches. The newly refurbished rooms were stunning! Will definitely be back one day. Sam and family are very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful.

Lovely house for family celebration

Shepherd’s cottage is comfortable and deceptively spacious. Conservatory is beautiful, Games room is incredible and snooker and pool tables are as new. Bathrooms need an upgrade but I believe that’s going to happen in the near future. All in all a good choice for our family get- together!

Fantastic large family stay

We loved the layout and overall size of the property, not to mention the games room and BBQ pit in the garden. We couldn't have found a better location especially given the poor weather we experienced. It's got everything you need for a stay and we had a great time each and every day. There was the odd spot of dust here and there (under the beds) and a few cupboard doors need some attention but it didn't detract from the overall experience.

Our 6th stay .....and not our last

We have just enjoyed our 6th stay at Shepherds Cottage and as ever this place delivered everything we hoped for the enjoyment and comfort of 10 humans ( aged 8 to 69 ) and the dog !! There have been some improvements since our last visit ....new sofas and flooring !! Sam and Stephen the hosts are as ever friendly and responsive !! ( They even bent over backwards to return my daughters sunglasses that she accidently left !! This time we tried a few new places ....Embleton beach and the Puffin Cruise from Seahouses ...( well worth the cost ) We are already looking to organise our next stay !!

Wonderful house

Another great stay at Shepherds Cottage. There were 10 of us & we are always amazed & delighted at the amount of living space. Perfect for different generations to spread out & enjoy themselves. Everyone loves the huge well equipped games room. The kitchen is well equipped & makes cooking easy if that’s what you plan. There are four large bedrooms all with en-suite. You don’t need to leave the property but there is plenty to see & do if you wish. We don’t think it can be beaten for size comfort location cleanliness. The owners a great & extremely helpful. It all adds up to the perfect holiday. We will be coming back.

Fantastic Family holiday

We had an absolutely fantastic family holiday at Shepherd’s Cottage ,it truly had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and memorable holiday. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a stunning welcome cake and lovely prosecco, these thoughtful touches made it feel extra special, the whole place was special to be honest. The games room was a huge hit as Sam had mentioned to me( you were spot on ), especially with the older kids and younger grandkids. It kept them entertained for the whole holiday, the bbq hut was fantastic everyone enjoyed a lovely night toasting marshmallows and making shmores, sharing laughs around the fire, and enjoying quality time together in such a beautiful setting. The cottage itself is lovely and clean, well-equipped, and full of charm. Everything has been considered to make all ages of guests feel at home, from the comfy beds to the fully stocked kitchen.( P.S it is massive and got lost a few times) It’s a perfect spot for making memories,we didn’t want to leave. Can’t recommend it highly enough for families looking for a peaceful, fun-filled holiday.
