The most gorgeous little getaway for my birthday

We had the best time staying at the Sanderling for my birthday get away. The shepherds hut was everything we could have asked for and we enjoyed exploring the long beaches nearby then relaxing in the wood fired hot tub in the evening. Perfectly dog friendly also out pooch enjoyed every second. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Wonderful get away

Another wonderful stay in the the Sandling Shepherds hut! An amazing little escape with fantastic views! The accommodation is perfect very clean with lots of lovely little touches that make all the difference. Sitting in the hot tub watching the sea or lying watching the stars through the glass roof - makes the stay even more magical! Special thanks to Sam and her team who go the extra mile to make everything just right ! X

Perfect place to stay

Absolutely loved this place, had everything we needed for our stay,, very clean, lovely hot tub, and very relaxing, views of the sea surrounded by open space, what more do you need. Only a pleasant walk to the beach and town, we will be definitely be back 10/10

A couple of days away

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Sanderling, lovely view to wake up to. Icing on the cake, after a full day out walking on the beautiful Northumberland coast, was coming back to a relaxing time in the hot tub, follows by a lovely evening in the Craster Arms.

Fabulous place

We really enjoyed our stay at The Sanderling. The hut had everything we needed and was the perfect base for exploring this beautiful area. The views were absolutely stunning, with Beadnell Bay on one side and views towards Seahouses on the other. The little extra touches were a lovely addition and made our stay feel even more special. The owners go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. The location was perfect for exploring the Northumberland coast, and we also really enjoyed a visit to the Craster Arms, a great local pub nearby. We would definitely recommend The Sanderling

Relaxing

Where do I start. Amazing accommodation. Back to basics but with added luxury. Accommodation was lovely and very throughout. Hit tub was amazing, who wouldn't want to sit and relax with them views. Pubs, shops and beach near by, central for so many attractions. Almost feel too relaxed

We'll be back!

Ill start by saying, we will be back. Bed was comfortable, big tick! Clean, had everything we needed in the perfectly compact kitchen, we cooked steaks, jackets potatoes and broccoli one night. Fire inside was so cosy! The outside area of the Sanderling had perfect views of the countryside. First time with a woodfired hot tub, now my favorite! The shed with fridge was very practical and useful. Really safe for our little doggo. For me the star of the show was the glass window over the bed! Waking up for the loo and seeing the stars so bright was incredible. If I had to pick fault, during the day you can hear the cars, but we got used to it. Stepping out around midnight was incredible with the dark skies, no cars you could hear the sea

Fab stay with friends

We booked both shepherds huts as there was 4 of us plus a dog. Both huts had everything that we needed and the hosts had thought of everything. The beds were so comfortable the hot tub was amazing and easy to use. Fantastic location could not recommend enough

Excellent place to stay

First time visiting and this accommodation did not disappoint, absolutely gorgeous shepherds hut, hosts have thought of everything you may need for your stay and the welcome bottle of Prosecco and chocolate were a lovely touch. Excellent location for exploring the area and the information provided by the hosts was amazing to help us plan our visits. Cannot recommend this place enough !

Weekend getaway

What a fantastic little place. Second time we’ve stayed here and hasn’t disappointed on either occasion. The location is ideal just outside Beadnell, with all local amenities within walking distance. Open the doors on a morning to a field full of bright yellow rapeseed with the sun on your face, it really does get you away from it all. Would recommend to anyone looking for a couple of days away.

A Wonderful Weekend Escape

We had a wonderful stay in the shepherd hut and would highly recommend it. The location was perfect, with beautiful views and a fantastic private outdoor space that was clearly very well thought out. The hut itself is beautiful and has absolutely everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The bed was really comfortable, the Wi-Fi was brilliant, and the log burner made the space feel incredibly cosy. The large shower was also a real bonus, particularly given that the hut is a smaller space. We especially loved the history behind the hut and hearing about where the materials used to build it originated from. It gives the place a really special character and makes the stay feel that little bit more unique. Communication throughout was excellent, from pre-booking right through to check-in and check-out. Everything was perfectly timed and really clear. The online guide was also a great touch, with loads of useful information to help make the most of the stay. The only small call-out would be that the Wi-Fi details in the online guide appeared to be out of date. After a few unsuccessful attempts, we found the updated details on a card inside the hut. Obviously, information can change, but it may be worth checking that the online guide is updated too, as this is likely to be the first place some guests will look. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. A beautiful, cosy and well-equipped hut in a fantastic location. We would definitely recommend it and would happily stay again!

Lovely stay

A lovely little bolt hole within great proximity to Seahouses and Bamburgh. A little too close to the main road to make it secluded. Everything you could need for a short stay and the glass roof is delightful. Set the fire going, knock the lights off and look at the stars.

Beadnell bay

We always have such a lovely time , it's very cosy with the log fire burning ! The weather wasnt the best but there was was still loads to do .. the long walks along the beeches and the great pub atmosphere at the end was fantastic , all the local people & holiday makers were super friendly .. The cabin was amazing with everything we needed , thanks for such a lovely stay & we will be definitely coming back.

The Sanderling Shepherds Hut Beadnell Northumberland

Great location with sea view. Lovely wood burner kept us cosy and warm as toast. Nice welcome gifts of Prosecco and chocolate which went down a treat. Fenwick the dog loved his stay too. Will definitely book again.

Relaxing weekend break with a friend

Stayed at The Sanderling. Beautiful shepherds hut in a stunning location. The Sanderling and Beadnell had everything to relax and recharge. Walking distance to the beach and local bars/restaurants. Car parking for 2 cars at The shepherds hut. Will definitely return. Next time will come with family and book both The Sanderling and The Sandpiper. Just need to sort out dates and see when both huts are available. Hosts are very attentive too leaving us a bottle of fizz and chocolate. Much appreciated. Thank you. Sharon Talbot

Anniversary Break

Positive - Really useful and informative app, very good communication. Ideal location to explore Northumberland, lovely coastal views. We were lucky to have a starry night very magical. Well equipped shepherds hut, great hot tub. Comfy bed. Negative- Oven and some kitchen equipment grubby and dirty,. Kitchen area not as photograph representation. TLC needed in some areas. Overall we had a really lovely stay and would book again thank you
