Niché dans les montagnes Laurel Highlands, Yough Mountain House se trouve sur 10 acres de terrain, à un mile de la rivière Youghiogheny, à deux miles de la petite ville de Confluence et à 2 1/2 miles de la piste cyclable Great Allegheny Passage. Notre maison construite sur mesure est bien équipée et propre. Le plan d'étage ouvert dans la cuisine / salon et la grande terrasse avec barbecue offrent un merveilleux endroit pour socialiser. La maison a de nombreuses fenêtres et une belle vue sur Sweet Run Hollow Creek qui longe la totalité de la propriété située sur un terrain de dix acres. Yough Mountain House peut accueillir entre 2 à 8 personnes. Nous avons 3 chambres et 2 salles de bain complètes, et un canapé-lit gigogne. La chambre principale a un lit king size et salle de bain complète, y compris un bain à remous et une douche en verre debout magnifiquement conçue et séparée. Les deuxième et troisième chambres ont des lits queen size et partagent une salle de bain séparée de taille normale. Sans quitter notre propriété, vous pouvez profiter de la beauté naturelle de la région tout en vous relaxant sur notre terrasse spacieuse, qui comprend un ensemble de terrasse, un grill et un bain à remous. Le Yough Mountain House offre une vue magnifique au cours des quatre saisons distinctes et est à proximité de divers événements qui se produisent tout au long de l'année.

The hot tub was great, and the property was beautiful. It was serene and quiet. The only issue we had was with the dishwasher. We couldn’t get it to clean the dishes, but that wasn’t any big deal.

I’m sorry you couldn’t figure out how to get the dishwasher to work, but after your stay, I checked it and it was working properly. I did notice that there was a pot put in the upper rack that kept the dishwasher from latching shut in order to start. I’m not sure what happened when you tried but again it is functioning. Thanks for your input and staying at my place!

The place was great, we loved the hot tub. Screens in the bedroom windows would have been nice so we could sleep with them open ave a knife sharpener would've come in handy. Overall a great place to stay.

Hi Deb, I’m glad you enjoyed the house and I appreciate your constructive criticism. I will get a knife sharpener at the house, but I ask that Guests do not to leave the windows open during any time especially winter time. During your stay, it was quite cold out, so I’m not understanding why you would need to leave the windows hang open, but I clearly state can my rules not to do this or to let the doors hang open. By doing so, that would cost me a tremendous amount in energy in trying to keep the home hot, but cool air blowing in while you sleep??. I ask that any guest that I have not do this and not putting screens in the window keeps Guests from doing this; unbelievablelast winter I had one guest do this and they forgot to close the window after their stay. I did not get to the house until two days later to clean the house and the window was left wide open the entire time. This resulted in me getting a $900 electric bill. I am a teacher on a budget and my Airbnb‘s basically pay for themselves so I kindly ask all my guest to please conserve energy in anyway they can. Do not in any way. Let my windows or doors hang open during any time of the year. Thanks again for your business.

The house is in a lovely location. The sounds of the creek and the birds, particularly, in the morning were very peaceful. It's in close proximity to Fallingwater, which is definitely a plus. Check-in was smooth, the house was very clean, well-stocked, and the host was quick to respond. The hot tub was lovely! The main reason for my relatively lower rating is that the water smelled very strongly of sulfur. To her credit, the host assured me the smell is normal as soon as I contacted her, but even if it's safe, it's still very unpalatable. I didn't see any indication of the smell in the VRBO listing, but it's possible I missed it. We ended up buying bottled water to drink and to use for coffee because the smell was so unpleasant. There were also some other minor to moderate issues, like moldy and somewhat broken outside chairs, coffee pot taking over an hour to brew, etc.

Hi Laura, I am sorry that that you had an issue with the Sulphur smell. Unfortunately, during the time you came, there were heavy rains, which causes this smell to be stronger. Most people do not have an issue with this. There is something on VRBO about my water. Most people do buy bottled water when coming to my home. I am sorry about the patio furniture outside, I did spray it after you departed, but My home is in the hollow of a mountain, so it is easy for moss and lichens to easily attach and grow on outdoor furniture. Since then, my new outdoor chairs have been delivered. I moved the old patio furniture out near the fire pit because it’s something would happen to it (for instance I have had people actually burn my patio furniture near the fire pit) I would not have an issue with guests and would not charge them. So now there is two sets of patio furniture. Some people are use to mountain water and some people are not. Fortunately, this year I have plans to upgrade the water filtration system, but until then, yes there is iron and sulfur in my water, but it is nothing that would harm anyone. The house and property was absolutely gorgeous!! Very peaceful and relaxing. It had every amenity you could think of. Brandy (our host) went above and beyond for us. T mmhere was a Winter storm coming during our stay, she let us check in a little early to get ahead of it. Then later that night drove on the bad roads to provide us a snow shovel so we could get a clear path to the hot tub, which was also amazing!! We'll definitely be renting this property again!!

My name is Brandy I. Freese. I grew up in the Confluence area my entire life. I am a full-time special education teacher and live approximately two miles away from the house.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

I first purchased this property from my grandfather in 2006. I wanted to buy this land because it was the place that I lived with my parents when I was first born. Built in 2009, I lived in the home for 8 years, until I moved and changed it to the Yough Mountain House of May 2017.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Only 2 miles from the town of Confluence and 9 miles from the town of Ohiopyle, Yough Mountain House has all the ammenties one would want/need from home. With an ample amount of outdoor space, Yough Mountain house is the perfect place for small or large group gatherings.

What made me fall in Love with my home was the beautiful views and the peaceful setting.
