Superb 100% private family friendly villa with pool and only 500 mtrs from beach

Built by the present British owners as a second home in 2008, Villa Batu Sisi offers the perfect holiday escape. Situated at the end of a no through lane, only 500 metres from the beach, completely private, in no way overlooked and away from any noise, passing motorbikes or pedestrians, the Villa is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The Villa, 300 sq m, is spacious with a 16m x 6m open plan living area opening onto the 9m x 4m pool. It sleeps up to 7 + cot in three air conditioned bedrooms, two with king size beds, one with a 5ft queen and a 4ft single and all with en suite bathrooms. The property is furnished with traditional Indonesian furniture and paintings. Three staff members plus manager are included (including night watchman) to make your holiday even more relaxing. None of the facilities are shared and no members of staff live on site. If you rerquire additional privacy, you can tell the staff to go home once they have completed their general daily tasks. Our manager is happy to arrange car/scooter hire, sightseeing trips, chef (by day or for your whole reservation) et cetera if required. The Villa has a small terraced tropical garden which is lovingly maintained by the gardener. We regret that the Villa is not suitable for guests with mobility problems due to steps at the entrance.

Stayed for moto gp

We stayed at the villa for 4 nights over the weekend for the motor gp, our stay was great, Ann responded to me as soon as she could (time difference) Jay was fantastic and helped with alot the gardener/house keeper was very helpful looked after my mum when she wasnt well. Would definitely recommend stayong at this villa. Family friendly and very clean.. jay organised cooks to come to the villa too.

Homely space for a few weeks

We spent almost a month here while doing some volunteer work in the area. Villa Batu Sisi became our comfort space with a very homely feel. Adung and Marley (onsite staff) were the highlights for us. Wonderfully friendly and no request was a problem for them. They took care of the house, our washing and cleaning and helped our boys husk coconuts and harvest mangoes. The Villa was fine but does need some attention and would benefit from renovation as it’s quite dated. The A/C is not very cold and had to be serviced while we were there. They probably need to be replaced. That said, Ann the owner said she was happy to get new units while we were there if we wanted. We just got used to the heat. A fresh coat of paint and bathroom renovations would go a long way to refresh this place. The building itself is quite impressive with traditional style exposed timber ceiling in the main area, locally made furniture and a very authentic feel. Located down a dirt lane way gives a very authentic rural feel and makes for a wonderfully private and quiet experience at night. Overall this villa held us well, but if you’re looking for luxury, wait until it’s renovated or look elsewhere.

Thank you, Luke, for your review - we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. We were last at the Villa 18 months ago and carried out serious repairs/renovations at that time. However we now know that things have deteriorated since then (not helped by a serious earthquake) and, following the detailed report which you kindly sent direct to us, work is already underway as the Villa is empty until Christmas,. We are visiting for 2 months in January so will be able to ensure that everything is 100%. We rely on constructive feedback from guests, so thank you. Ann and Stephen.

WONDERFUL property and what a delightful experience that the owners and staff have created. The owners and Jay were so responsive and attentive. We appreciated the location which was off the beaten track but walking distance to the beach, minimarts, and a handful of excellent warungs. The pool was perfect - impeccably maintained and the perfect spot for lounging, reading, and enjoying the noises of the geckos and birds. We loved watching the bats swoop over the pool at sundown. The sunsets are incredible from the beach across the street. We cannot say enough great things about the staff - Mahli and Mahni are so gracious and caring, unobtrusive but ever-present if anything is needed. They kept the place spotless! Ahdung was kind and it was nice to know that he was around overnight though the area feels quite safe. The layout and amenities were perfect - comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and we loved the indoor/outdoor feel of the great room. Kitchen was equipped well enough for basic cooking. Speaking of cooking, Jay set us up with a private chef, Wayan, who was so charming and made us a couple delicious Indonesian dinners. It was also nice to have Latif available for car service. Would highly recommend for couples and/or families - we truly enjoyed our 3 weeks at Villa Batu Sisi!
