This property was ideal for a home base as we drove throughout Scotland. The kitchen was well equipped for all our needs and ASDA was nearby for shopping needs. Also, ASDA was a great fuel station for our rental.Also, the property is ideally located for walks to local stores and to the beach. While exploring Edinburgh, we walked to a nearby bus stop and utilized Edinburgh's excellent bus service. The only difficulty was the very limited parking but Patrick had addressed that before we rented so we knew that would be a problem. We worked around it and proved it to be a minor problem.Thank you Patrick for a great place to stay!

Was a very clean house. Nicely located by the beach. There were plenty of restaurants available within walking distance. You do need to use the city bus to various locations in Edinburgh, but it is very inexpensive using public transportation. The kitchen was well equipped, and a Coffee pot was available, it was used alot during our stay. There were several coffee shops in the area also. The sitting room was a great gathering place with our large party. The dining room was large and accommodated our group.The tub and shower on the main floor with heated tile was very lovely. The washer took a while to run. There is no dryer, but a drying rack was available. There are lots of stairs, so being able to navigate stairs is necessary to access upper floors.

The kitchen was very well stocked to host dinners for our large family. The backyard table and chairs worked well for hanging out. The short walk to the beach was a plus. We enjoyed touring Edinburgh and this house worked well with the bus service.

Perfect location- a few minutes' walk to beach and town centre.Lovely decor. Very well equipped and really thoughtful that basics were there eg. loo rolls, washing up liquid, oil, salt and pepper.Cant wait to stay again sometime.Also plenty of room. There were 8 of us and we could all spread out if we wanted to.

We stayed in Portobello for a week and this house was absolutely perfect for us! Our only slight complaint (not really a complaint) was the lack of fans during the heat wave. We knew going in that AC wasn't a thing in most homes but not having atleast a fan to help was rough but we ended up buying 2 while there and leaving them for the host for future guests.

Great communication when booking. Lovely house - so convenient for the beach, promenade and coffee shops! A warm welcome from Roslyn with the keys, and a warm house - very much appreciated on a blustery weekend. Comfy beds, great bathroom, well equipped kitchen and the perfect lounge for watching the Winter Olympics !
