La maison est situĂ©e au deuxiĂšme Ă©tage sans ascenseur d'un immeuble qui ne compte que quatre maisons, en plein centre historique de la ville. Vous trouverez tout ce dont vous avez besoin, dans une atmosphĂšre confortable et accueillante, avec une attention aux moindres dĂ©tails. La chambre est trĂšs grande, avec un lit double, une armoire confortable, une grande commode et un coin bureau avec une saveur antique. Tout aussi accueillant est le salon lumineux et spacieux avec salle Ă  manger pour 6 personnes, un canapĂ©-lit deux places confortable, un fauteuil plein d'esprit et une tĂ©lĂ©vision. Dans la grande cuisine, vraiment habitable, rien ne manque aussi pour essayer, si vous le souhaitez, de prĂ©parer les produits typiques que vous avez achetĂ©s au marchĂ©: rĂ©frigĂ©rateur, table avec 4 chaises, cuisiniĂšre Ă  gaz avec four Ă©lectrique, micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle. Dans la salle de bain entiĂšrement rĂ©novĂ©e, vous trouverez une douche et un bidet confortables. Toutes les chambres sont Ă©quipĂ©es de chauffage et climatisation indĂ©pendants, de fenĂȘtres Ă  double vitrage et de moustiquaires. After reading previous reviews, disappointed that there were not any welcoming items. Large spacious rooms, great kitchen but needs an Nespresso coffee machine.Location excellent.Lost water for the apartment (mentioned in another review) for one evening. It would have nice if host brought bottled water the next morning to drink instead of telling guests to buy it themselves.

The apartment is in an ideal location for exploring central Catania, a short walk from the Cathedral, the Ursino, and Piazza Borsellino where the airport bus stops. 2 blocks walk and you're in the main pedestrian tourist area, but far enough away that it's pretty quiet at night. If you're arriving by train though, it's not really walkable from the station.It's two floors above street level; communication with manager was decent (although responses sometimes were a bit slow). Checkin is by keycode, so there was no direct contact or explanation of things like switches and appliances. The layout is nice and furnishings are good, with lots of closet storage in the bedroom. The kitchen is better furnished than most, although the knives should be replaced as they have almost all been chipped or bent by previous renters. Owners have provided lots of thoughtful touches, including umbrellas, a grocery cart, a pac-n-play, cleaning implements (surprisingly rare in our experience) and extra bedding. All rooms have air conditioning. The beds are a little softer than we normally like, but were comfortable nonetheless.We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return in the future.

When searching for a place to stay for our vacation in Canatia, My wife and I research about a dozen options that we both liked very much and over time the list was shortened to 5 the 3 then then ultimately this unit based mostly on the previous reviews and location. The apartment was exactly as described and Danilo is an excellent host, very responsive. The apartment is centrally located to the daily markets you can get the freshest fruits, veggies, meat and fish or can dine breakfast, lunch, and dinner at fabulous local eateries. Most every thing you need is withing walking distance. Highly recommended if you are looking to experience sicilian life.

Great location

Comfortable and roomy, easy access. Street parking not a problem if you can handle local drivers. Some late night noise, but that is part of the atmosphere! Great host.

Trusted the reviews, and wasn’t disappointed!

We were looking for an apartment for a short notice 4 days stay in Catania.As in other visits in Italy we looked at vrbo for nice apartments in the historic center, allowing us easy access by foot to central places. Now as then it turned out Great.I won’t get into details that are described in dozens of other reviews, only say that it turned out just and beyond our expectations.Danilo was communicative and friendly through whatsapp, and I have evo recommended him to change the lightbulbs in some rooms to warm light, because why ruining the atmosphere with bad light
One thing that in my point of view needs more attention, is the parking issue . It’s not mentioned clearly you can’t park the car overnight near the apartment through restrictions, and I would make some recommendations were there are parking options, like via plebiscito, were we used to park our car overnight.We highly recommend!

Primo Location

Awesome little apartment in central Catania! The apartment was super clean and welcoming. It is within walking distance to everything, which was great!!!! I'd stay here again in a heart beat!!!

It is located in the centre of the city. It is very well equipped. I would recommend it highly. It would be useful to have instructions on how to operate the washing machine as it is quite different from North American equipment.

Perfect location for exploring Catania

Danilo’s apartment was in the perfect location for exploring Catania. It is a few minutes walk from the Fontana dell’ Elefante and the main shopping district plus a short distance by foot to the market, museum and many trattorias and bars. The apartment was very quiet, clean and well appointed with a large bathroom and walk-in shower. Thank you Danilo we hope to return to your wonderful city soon!

A true gem

The apartment was absolutely what we were hoping to find when we arrived. Danilo was welcoming and informative and his recommendations were spot on! Our accommodation was clean and comfortable and we were only two minutes from the centre of the action - all the restaurants, bars, the fish and fruit and vegetable markets and necessary shops. Also,only five minutes from the cathedral and main square and many other points of interest. We couldn’t get over how quiet the apartment is but yet so close to all the hustle and bustle. Do try and catch a tour of the opera house, Teatro Vincenzo Bellini, it’s amazing!

What a Gem!

This apartment is even nicer than the photos. All the rooms are large, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The kitchen has modern appliances and everything you could possibly need to prepare meals. The owners even left us delicious pastry as a welcome gift. We stayed once for 2 weeks, then returned for another 2 weeks later because we enjoyed it so much. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed, a door opening onto a Juliet balcony and a huge closet. The living room has very comfortable furniture and 2 doors that open onto balconies. The location is perfect. On a quiet side street but within 2 short blocks of the markets, restaurants and shops. The owners, Rosanna and Danilo, were extremely kind. They helped us with booking tours, gave good advice about the sights and restaurants and even helped retrieve my lost luggage from the airport. I would highly recommend this apartment, as it was perfect for us, and would love to return in the future. Thank you Rosanna and Danilo for an excellent vacation in your lovely apartment!

Great location, clean well appointed apartment.

The apartment is well appointed, and clean. Water, wine, jams and biscuits to get you started was much appreciated. Communication with Danilo was very quick and helpful. We rented a car and generally found it easy to park around the property. The location is in the heart of the market and restaurants so lots of graffiti and trash but looking beyond and you'll find live music in open air squares, and local Hangouts with books for the choosing. A short walk to via Etena and so many sites.

Absolutely Wonderful

Danilo checked us in the shortly after we landed in Catania, and he was extremely helpful the entire trip. He helped us find places to eat and even booked a tour for us up to Mt. Etna. The house was just as shown, and some parts were even nicer. It was an incredible place to stay with a perfect location, and we would definitely stay there again.

As first-time visitors to Sicily, we chose Catania as our first port of call simply for the convenience of the airport and fight schedules. Thanks to this lovely apartment, and the warm, engaging personality of Rosanna who met us upon arrival, we fell in love with this under-appreciated, vibrant city. Others have mentioned the fabulous location of the apartment, right in the historic heart of Catania just steps from the famous fish market (not to mention vegetable, fruit, meat, cheese, bread and herb vendors) and the Piazza del Duomo with its famed Elephant Fountain. It's also just a few minutes' walk to landmarks like the Castello Ursino, Teatro Massimo Bellini, and the prime commercial street of Via Etnea, that runs straight up into the foothills of Mount Etna which hovers above the city like a mirage. You can walk everywhere from this apartment, and we did. The photos don't do the apartment justice. It's surprisingly spacious, painted in warm gold, terracotta and sage, with gorgeous vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows in each room, opening to Juliette balconies. The eat-in kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare, cook and serve food -- including a wide range of condiments, olive oil, tea and coffee, even pasta. The bottle of good local wine waiting to welcome us was much appreciated! Of the countless bars and restaurants in the vicinity, we enthusiastically endorse Rosanna's recommendation: try Da Antonio Trattoria. They dish up wonderful food at reasonable prices - again, just steps from the apartment. This review wouldn't be complete without a renewed accolade for Rosanna. She's fluent in English (a native Sicilian as well as expat American), personable, knowledgeable, and hands-on if needed.. When the water in the entire apartment building unaccountably turned off early one morning, Rosanna responded to our message instantly and everything was fixed in short order. Highly recommended, with thanks!
