The apartment was in a great location, within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The host communication was great and timely. It was a little warmer in the home than I prefer, due to there being just one air conditioner which was in the loft. But with 2 fans also available to us, we made it tolerable. Overall, we were satisfied with the apartment.

A big house, yet cosy at the same time. The location is perfect – under 10 minutes to Piazza del Duomo (on foot) and under 20 minutes to Catania Centrale. Great pizza places close by, I recommend Pizzeria Dal Rosso.The house has everything you need – AC, a washing machine, a kitchen, etc. Salvo is a great host and helps with everything you need. What I liked most about the house is the quiet neighbourhood it is located in; the house is surrounded by other houses and a big tree, and the summer nights are actually quite calm and not as hot as they can be in other parts of the city (I slept without AC... in August).

Great central location

This was a very central location. Easy to get out to walk and enjoy the city; Great little coffee shop at the end of the street and a fabulous fresh Pasta restaurant right there as well. 3 of us stayed and found it very comfortable and the host was really helpful pointing out spots to visit.Would highly recommend this unique spot.

A beautiful apartment in a fantastic location, very handy for all Catania’s attractions and some fantastic restaurants, A short walk to the amazing fish market a must to see how fresh fish can be. We also enjoined an amazing meal at Locanda Cerami, The house has an amazing host in Salvio, super helpful getting to the location and his super useful guides, a big thank you from the both of us

Fantastic apartment in fantastic location

The apartment oozes with character and is off a courtyard that makes it very very quiet and relaxing. Nevertheless it is steps from all the action. Catania is an amazing city and the apartment is minutes away from all of the historic and cultural sites as well as fantastic restaurants. We loved our stay here and would come back at any time.

Perfect, quirky apartment!

This was the perfect place to retire to at the end of another hot day. The terrace could not be better for a final nightcap or a first coffee. Wonderful decorations and fascinating books, plenty of room to move about in, a kitchen that’s fully equipped: please can we live here?

We had an extraordinary stay at Grazia's and Salvo's place. It was like being home in the family house: personal decoration, like living there, fantastic perfect imperfection, no TV, therefore, time to look at the books or listen - old school - to the CDs, chilling in the morning sun on the balcony or sipping Sicilian wine in the evening...Perfect location to start strolls through the city or excursions to Etna, Syracuse, Taormina (bus and metro connection to the train station). Going out of the quiet "cortile" and you're right in the middle of Sicilian life! Just tremendously fantastic! Thanks for the excellent memories!

Totally charming

Really great unusual quirky flat, full of character, very spacious, quiet and safe with a very pleasant terrace in a superb location. Well equipped kitchen and generally clean although more attention could be paid to that esp. in the top bathroom (bath seal & shower screen). But it is a wonderful place, we really enjoyed being there and would return without any hesitation.

The host was not helpful at all and didn’t explain how anything in the apartment worked. Things were broken. There was insufficient lighting. We had no idea what to do with our trash and had to figure it out ourselves. Location was great and there was lots of space.

O'top!

Alors, mieux placé, pas possible. Mieux équipé, pas possible. Plus chaleureux, pas possible. Plus calme, pas possible. O'top, vraiment; je mets cet appartement dans mon top 3 de mes locations de ces dernières années. Mais comme il faut toujours chercher à faire mieux, je suggère à sa -très charmante- propriétaire de faire en sorte de mettre le matelas du lit du premier à niveau! On y fera encore de plus beaux rêves. Merci, merci. O'top

Beautiful and big house. Artistically decorated. The son of the landlord has been very helpful with suggestions. It is important to ask for the electric system against mosquitoes. The appartment is very central. Everything can be visited by foot. Easy and free parking.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der ruhig und dennoch zentral gelegenen Wohnung sehr genossen. Besonders gefallen hat uns der individuelle Stil des Schnitts und der Einrichtung, der sich sehr wohltuend abhebt von der unpersönlichen Baumarkt-Moderne, die derzeit in der Mehrzahl der Ferienwohnungen leider dominiert.

ruhige, gemütliche und zentrale Unterkunft

Das Haus von Grazia bietet sehr viel Platz auf vier Etagen und ist unheimlich geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Die Lage ist super, nah am Stesicoro und Bellini-Park, sehr zentral, und dafür unglaublich ruhig. Aus dem Dachfenster kann man den Etna sehen :) Die Heizung funktionierte gut, was für einen längeren Aufenthalt im Winter wichtig war. Und für die sonnigen Tage gab es einen großen Balkon. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen! Danke Grazia!

Ein Traum in "Vintage", ideal für Langzeitmieter

Die Wohnung liegt wunderschön am Ende der berühmten Via Corciferi Richtung Monastero dei Benedettini in einem kleinen Innenhof. Sie ist ein Traum und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet! Man erkennt sofort die Passion der Besitzerin für Theater und Literatur. Wir haben uns dort wie zuhause gefühlt - fast 6 Wochen lang. Die Wohnung ist auf 3 Etagen verteilt: unten ein Schlafzimmer (für 2) mit Bad; in der Mitte der Wohnbereich, ein Arbeitszimmer, ein großer Balkon, die Küche und ein Bad, und oben auf der Galerie befindet sich ein weiteres Schlafzimmer mit Platz für 2 (ggf. auch 4) Menschen. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen längeren Aufenthalt braucht (inkl. einer Spülmaschine). In der Wohnung sind tausende von Büchern in allen gängigen europäischen Sprachen sowie unzählige CD's - vorzugsweise mit barocker und klassischer Musik. Leider ist der CD-Player defekt, aber man kann den Verstärker mit seinem Laptop ansteuern und so die Musik genießen. Der Vermieter war jederzeit erreichbar und enorm hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation geht auf Italienisch oder Englisch reibungslos. Wir werden auf jedem Fall nächstes Jahr wiederkommen!

Character-filled house with a very ethnic feel

Simply amazing! We have rented a lot of properties through home away, but this one was really unique. Grazia has exquisite taste and the house has a very personalised feel to it. We felt very much at home in her very character-filled house. Located within sniffing distance from main tourist attractions, the house is situated in a very peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. There are several restaurants around serving typical Sicilian, mouthwatering food as well. We would like to specially thank Salvo, whose suggestions made our stay truly memorable. He was very enthusiastic and always available to answer our numerous questions and helped plan our excursions to Etna and Taormina, in addition to tips for exploring Catania. His long list must-try things in Catania led to our culinary delight. We would love to stay again in this house, should we visit Catania again. PS: Grazia, we really enjoyed your Mozart collection, being ardent fans of the maestro's music as well.

Antike Umgebung, sehr gut gelegen

Es ist ein Ferienhaus mit eigenem “Charme“, das Bett und das TV sollten nicht ganz so antik sein, man rollt in die Mitte und der Fernseher war nicht an zu kriegen. Familien werden es schwer haben, es gibt zwar jede Menge Pröll, aber nur zwei brauchbare Teller oder nur ein spitzes Messer oder Küchenhandtuch. Die Umgebung ist Spitze, sehr zentral mit Cafes und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe, im Hof ist meistens ein Parkplatz frei.
