Beautiful home in an incredible location. Everything was beautifully decorated. The beach access was super convenient and so close and no sand spurs like other areas. Very quiet location and dog friendly. We spotted deer most days by the house which was perfect.

It was the perfect beach house for our family of 17. Including three little kids under 6. Very organized and lots of big tables and couches to congregate. Lovely quiet beach, pool was great. I could go on and on….rental company very responsive when a few things occurred. Highly recommend and would definitely rent again.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we a great time, but the home itself did not meet expectations, it was in better conduction in years past and that is why we will not be renting it next year. Frig in the laundry room upstairs would not stay closed and you already know that and didn't replace.

House is large and welcoming. Pool and outdoor area was amazing. We were never in the house ! Perfect spot on the beach. Needs a few updates. Ice makers in refrigerators barely worked. One refrigerator door would not stay closed because seal was damaged. One clothes dryer door would not stay closed. No big things but we expect everything to be functional when we pay this price.

Our family (8 adults, 6 children) had a delightful stay at 6 Brown Pelican. We utilized all 7 bedrooms. Great location. Easy access to the beach. The kids enjoyed the pool. We would consider returning in the future.

Great family trip to Hilton Head

Enjoyed a great stay at 6 Brown Pelican with the family. We had 10 people (adults) plus our lab, Rose. House is in great shape, very clean and well equipped. The house managers were responsive and easy to deal with. A great experience and we would rent the house again.

perfect for a family reunion

As a resident of Sea Pines we were proud to host our family at such a special place. There were not only enough bedrooms, but plenty of spaces to get away from the group! Two kitchens and two living areas. Katherine from Coastal was so communicative. If we had any questions or concerns they were quickly addressed....even before they were a concern! We hope to rent this great spot again....perfect for a staycation!

We were so impressed that somebody came and stayed until 11:30 that night to fix it! My only complaint about the house is that some of the mattresses really need to be replaced and some of the beds were EXTREMELY squeaky.

Less Than Impressed

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For $36,000/week i was underwhelmed. The entire family lost a day of pool use because the pool drained. A/C struggled to keep temp (I get it's hot, but buy a bigger unit. Frige didn't close and made no ice. For that type of rental income, stunned with the poor amentites were.

We apologize we fell short on your expectations in certain areas. The homeowner has installed two brand new HVAC units in 2024. They have invested in three refrigerators for the home (kitchen, laundry room off the kitchen + one downstairs by the pool access) and all three have functional ice makers. Additionally, the home features a full main kitchen + a kitchenette downstairs, two laundry areas with washer/dryers, two living rooms to host large groups, multiple large outdoor entertaining areas with plenty of seating, Weber gas grill, outdoor firepit and some beach chairs and towels. Again, we are terribly sorry it fell short of your expectations. Thank you for your review & for staying with us!

What a view

I wish the pictures did a better job of showing how easy it is to access the beach, and the views from the main floor and deck are unbelievable. The home itself was perfect for our family and its proximity to South Beach Marina and the shops/restaurants was ideal. I highly recommend renting bikes. The rental company's service was remarkable, there responsiveness and attention to minor details made all the difference. We had a problem with the gas grill the first night and they replaced the entire unit by lunch the next day. We needed a break from 2020 and this home was perfect. Plenty of room and recently renovated, this is a great spot for multiple families and lots of kids.

Beautiful house

We had 4 families and all enjoyed this house. The deck and view are fantastic. A family of deer visited daily. The dolphins are plentiful in this area too. The house was very clean and all wood/vinyl flooring was beautiful and easy to keep clean. The AC went out (1of3units) and they were very responsive. Someone was out the next day to replace a part and get it working again. It couldn’t be helped and they handed it well. The hot tub is not functional which was disappointing to find but the pool is really pretty and a great size. Also we let them know that one of the 2 driers doesn’t work. Didn’t discover this until wet clothes sat in it. Good thing they have 2 sets! 3 refrigerators was great to have also. I would definitely recommend this house.

The upstairs deck is one of our favorite spots to relax – we can spend hours in the chairs looking out to the ocean. The heater for the pool/spa has since been replaced and it is fully operational. An appliance company also repaired the downstairs dryer – so they are both working now. We enjoyed hosting your family and hope to see you all again on a return Hilton Head Island beach vacation (and so do the deer)!

Right on the Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is in one of the best locations in Sea Pines. Walking distance to Salty Dog and an easy bike ride to Harbour Town. Overall the house was very clean and well organized. Kitchen area labelled so you know where everything belongs. We have stayed in a lot of rentals all over the world and this is the first time we ever experienced amazing cook ware. Pots and frying pans are All-Clad. Top notch. Enough plates, cups, glasses (both glass and plastic), flatware and cooking utensils for the number of people the house can accommodate. We had 16 (13 adults and 3 children). Good layout of bedrooms and bathrooms. Two bedrooms (one King and one Twin) share a bathroom that is quite small. The twin bedroom is also small with not much storage or walk around space. More suited for two children or one adult rather than two adults. Great eating areas (inside and outside) with lots of space. We did experience a couple of issues (broken toaster and coffee maker) that were dealt with the following day. Also, there was a malfunction with the pool heater that they quickly addressed. Would definitely recommend this property to a large group. Overall, great stay. And, we loved the daily visits from the local deers.

Mini Family Reunion

Reviewer Comments: Overall our stay at 6 Brown Pelican for the Christmas holiday was wonderful. Our extended family of 23 had not been together as a group in 7 years...we came from Texas, Georgia, New Jersey, Florida and South Carolina to celebrate Christmas 2020. We arrived a couple days before the holiday to settle in. Loved that the house was close to Harbor Town, shopping and dining....the split living areas was great for those that needed a bit of separation, large dining areas for our big group was perfect for our holiday dinners. We heated the pool and spa and it was money well spent. The pathway to the beach just outside the back door was great for both the kids and the grand parents. Beautiful views and sunsets daily. We had small children that went to bed early and because of the design of the house the noise from TV's and those playing cards and games traveled to the bedrooms and presented issues with the little ones trying to sleep. We are a family of chefs, lots of preparation and cooking, we found ourselves washing the dishes by hand after they had run through a 2 hour dishwasher cycle. Spending so much time hand washing dishes took away time from the fun of being together. I'd say that was the biggest issue and feel the appliances (dishwashers and washer/dryers) really need to be replaced. For the cost of the rental one would expect more updated appliances.
