The home was spotless and welcoming from the moment we arrived.Communication with the host was quick, kind, and incredibly easy.Every detail was spot‑on, and we immediately felt at home.The location made it simple to relax while still being close to everything we needed. We picked up dinner at Angelo’s Pizza Restaurant Seafood & Steamer Bar — excellent pizza. We will be visiting them again too! The view from the back deck and the back bedroom window is absolutely gorgeous. Surrounded by nature, it felt very romantic.We would happily stay here again

It was a great place to stay. Everything I could need was available to me whether I forgot it or not. Internet was phenomenal so I could stream if I wanted. The rooms were made up nice and clean with loads of pillows. Thanks for the place to stay!

Great value

This house was a great "bang-for-the-buck". It wasn't the fanciest listing we considered, but for the price we were very pleased. Location is very central on the Northern Neck and we were able to cram a lot of fun in 4 short days.

Kayaking adventure

Fabulous view watching eagles from the deck. We enjoyed launching our kayaks from the neighborhood beach. The house is charming and just what we were looking for!

Property is exactly the way it says it is in the description. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking items. This is an excellent place to kick back and relax. We were also able to see dolphins playing in the river from the sun room!

Super Fun Long Weekend

We had a great time. We loved the outside deck and view of the river. The house was appointed with everything you needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Very close to Westmoreland State Park which had excellent swimming, paddle boards and kayak rentals. We went to dinner at the Northern Neck Brewing Co which had live music and was a blast. Highly recommend!!!

Lovely Getaway Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cute little river cabin. We saw bald eagles several times from the floor to ceiling windows. Found Shark Tooth Beach on our last day and totally adored our time there. Wish we'd known about it sooner. House well stocked with utensils and supplies. Recommend!

Communication with owner was clear and prompt. The cabin has a great view and lots of space. Don't forget your bug spray in the summer!

Northern Neck Newbies

I traveled with my two teenage children to attend a wedding on the eastern shore of Maryland. We chose to stay in Montross to be near Westmoreland State Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quirky little cabin. The view of the river was incredible. We were comfy and cozy, and would not hesitate for a minute to return!

Great nature escape.....just step outside please. With Westmoreland State Park about 7.5 miles or so away spending the day hiking and swimming are always an option. Day adventure spots are scattered up the northern neck. Sometimes hard to leave this Zen Den. Amenties galore..... Thank you for sharing this dream house!!!!!!!

Stayed here with three friends to relax and play disc golf at Lake Marshall. The property surpassed our expectations. Space is used well and there is plenty of room to get some privacy if needed. Common areas were great for getting together and having fun, especially enjoyed the basement for drinks and games. View of the Potomac out the back is wonderful. You can’t walk to the rivers edge but you can walk down (if you can handle steep dirt) to the cliffs edge for a great view. If you want to swim, a four minute drive will get you to shark tooth beach where you can find sand, swimming, and shark teeth.

This cabin is a true gem!

If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature, peace, and quiet, look no further. Though my husband and I booked it for a romantic weekend for just the two of us, we can definitely imagine coming back with the whole family. Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, game room(!) and a den, too–this cozy and comfortable oasis is nicely set up. The icing on the cake is the breathtaking deck experience: birds singing and chirping away, big and beautiful trees surrounding you, and a gorgeous view of the Potomac River. Sandy is a thoroughly gracious and accommodating host, just a phone call away if you need her. We didn’t want to leave this special place!

Enjoyed watching deer, a fox, and a hummingbird from the sunroom. We were also priveliged to see several osprey sit on the trees and eat fish right in front of us. One evening we watched a large barge go up the river. Such a beautiful view of the river and great place to relax!

The main floor was beautifully appointed, along with two very comfortable bedrooms on the second floor. Primary bedroom was great with ensuite. Double bed versus queen size to provide more walk around room. The lower level was decorated in a cute functional way, but stars to the downstairs could create a minor challenge for seniors.
