Q: Can I keep my boat there?
A: Yes, the depth at the end of the dock is typically no less than 2 1/2 ft, though it is tidal, and the closest (free) boat ramp right by Shark’s tooth island is Currioman Landing.

Q: Is Easthaven child-friendly?
A: Absolutely. Children are welcome at the house, however, the house may not be suitable for young children because of the indoor fireplace, lack of child-proofing features and a steep hill with access to the water.

Q: Will I encounter any wild animals?
A: The house is located in a natural & wooded area, so you may see & hear bugs, bald eagles and ospreys and other birds, furry critters of all sizes (including but not limited to deer, squirrels, and rodents), & reptiles. Our property has regularly scheduled pest control, however, we cannot guarantee that any such critters will not be visible in & around the property. No refunds will be provided if a local critter visits the property.

What a Wonderful Vacation Home

Easthaven is such a fun, family place to stay while on vacation. Clean, well equipped, relaxing and family oriented. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, crabbing, visiting West Moreland State Park and the quant surroundings. The house has everthing needed for family fun and special time together.The dophins in the bay at sunrise and the scavenger hunt were nice, fun family surprises!

Even better than the pictures

The house was great, really liked how there were towels, beds made, shampoo, conditioner and body wash ready to go. The house had a great layout and really enjoyed the outdoor table and chairs, hammock and swings. Plenty of things to do but ended up relaxing and taking in the beautiful view most of the time. We can’t wait to visit again.

Comfy, relaxing, beautiful, relaxing vacation home. We went to unwind and the facilities and owners were a delight. Kitchen was super well stocked with everything needed to handle meals for 11 people. Popcorn was a smash. The front door unlocked with our code and we were all ready to expand and kick off 9 days together.

Mother's Day Week-end

Beautiful view and home

This home is lovely, beautiful views, well appointed and clean. Perfect for gals trip or families, many games provided and a fun scavenger hunt too. There are many steps down to the water, not easy if you have mobility issues but you can enjoy the view from indoors or outside in the yard. We are already working on a return trip. Enjoy!

We had such a good time here! It was quiet and so relaxing. We made good use of the paddle board and kayaks. The water was warm and easily accessible which was great! The house was beautiful and well stocked and Abbie was so kind checking in with us to see if everything was going good or if there was anything we needed. Honestly out of all the times we rented I never had another host reach out to us like she did. Our older group of kids had no problem finding things to keep them busy inside and out. We even made use of the pass that was left to use, visiting Westmoreland State Park. Everyone has already asked so I’m sure we will be going back again! Thank you so much Abby for sharing your home and kindness.

Easthaven has it all!!

Easthaven offers A+ communication from Abbie and a beautiful place to stay. The themed bedrooms are adorable, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need, and the view is stunning. It’s also so quiet and relaxing - just what we needed. We could only stay for a short visit but we will be back in warmer weather for the water activities and to explore the area more. What a gem of a place!

Holiday getaway

We came for R & R and we got it! Abbie was a great and responsive hostess and the house was perfect. Even though the weather was cold the views were still great, the layout was perfect and the furniture, especially the beds, was so comfortable. Getting groceries from the Food Lion was easy too. We're not big on water sports so unlikely we would come back in the summer, but maybe another visit in the spring or fall. Highly recommend!

The Perfect Weekend Getaway!

My husband, two daughters, and I recently spent a weekend at Easthaven, and we had the best time! From the clever game room theme to the awesome amenities to the spectacular views, this was the perfect Northern Neck getaway. We also loved that the property felt quiet and peaceful in spite of being an easy drive to dining, shopping, and fun local destinations. We would 100% stay here again, and we're recommending Easthaven to all of our friends. Go ahead and book this place - you won't regret it!

Pleasantly surprised!

This was a wonderful property! We all enjoyed our stay. The pictures are accurate and the home is very clean, considering pets are allowed. Abbie was very communicative and so easy to deal with. Family fun in an idyllic setting

Fantastic trip! Wonderful, perfectly appointed home (no detail spared), with a spectacular view, even in winter, and even prettier with a little snow sprinkled in! The game theme was a hit with the kids and Abbie (host) and her family left no detail out! Wonderful views, spectacularly decorated, clean, bright and hospitable. Highly recommend. We plan to return later in the warmer weather and again next winter!

Easter Break

We arrived to find a sparkly clean house in a quiet, rural neighborhood. All rooms are tastefully decorated especially the brand new master suite and beds were comfy. The view is spectacular and we were treated to a magnificent sunrise our first morning. Easthaven is a clean, comfortable, updated waterfront location that was the foundation of our trip - in that we were able to build memories with our family in and around Northern Neck with ease. We visited over Thanksgiving with our two families. Coffee, cocktails and meals were enjoyed with the scenic ever changing backdrop of the Nomini, as it flows into the Potomac. I enjoyed watching birds and boats navigating their way as leaves fell during the end of autumn. I noted that the owners have great pride in the property. It showed in both the little and big things. Fresh paint, new floors and furniture as well as thoughtful, game-derived decorations made the place feel special. (Warning: We had an epic two day monopoly game that involved collaboration, hijinks, and raucous laughter.) Outside - the waterfront is awesome. They have a sturdy pier with all sorts of water toys. But we chose to explore nearby sights. -I picked up fresh fish (trout) to grill at O'Bier Seafood -We visited Stratford Hall (general Lee's home) and hiked the trails -Enjoyed beers at two breweries (Old Rappahannock Brewing Company & Northern Neck Brewing Company) Being an outsider from Denver, I was blown away by the friendly and welcoming vibe from everyone we came in contact with around Northern Neck. Easthaven felt like a home away from home. It made us feel like locals, and was a perfect place to explore the area and connect with our family. We all highly recommend.

Another awesome stay at Easthaven!

A group of friends and I had a great few days at this relaxing get away. We ate out sometimes and ate in other times. It’s so nice to come to a place that is already set up for you! We didn’t need to worry about sheets and towels or cooking ingredients/appliances. We could just settle in and enjoy the river! There was enough room for every one to be together, or not! It was really fun to tackle the treasure hunt game! We solved the puzzle the second time around! This visit we made a quick trip to the Enchanted Forest. We even met Tom, the tree carver. He was so friendly and informative! We also ate at N and N Burgers and Angelo’s. Both places are highly recommended! We are all looking forward to hopefully being able to return next year!

A Fun Girls Getaway Weekend!

I recently stayed at this wonderful waterfront rental for a girl's trip weekend. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the unique dĂ©cor—everything was board game-themed! The creative concept added such a fun and playful vibe to the entire house, and it made our stay even more memorable. The hosts have obviously thought about the finer details to help guests settle in. The kitchen was well-stocked, with QR codes thoughtfully placed to help use appliances. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the towels were plentiful (and huge!). The house is well situated on the water, and we spent mornings and evenings enjoying the scenery. There were plenty of water toys and activities to keep everyone entertained, including kayaks and a pedal boat. The location is also great, with fun activities nearby like wineries and scenic hikes. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

Valentines During a Rainstorm

We decided to take a spontaneous trip (literally booking at 9:00 PM the night before), and most rentals were already closed for the next day, including Easthaven. I reached out to hosts Abbie and Aaron to inquire about the possibility of renting the property on short notice, and they were incredibly accommodating and a pleasure to work with.Upon arriving at Easthaven for our weekend getaway, the weather was less than ideal—rain poured the entire time, which we knew could be a possibility. However, the house was stocked with a variety of board games and offered expansive water views, providing us with hours of entertainment.The layout of the house is perfect, offering ample space for a large group while also feeling cozy enough for just the two of us. I highly recommend Easthaven for both families and adults looking for a stunning view and plenty of activities that will keep guests of all ages engaged—perfect for getting the kids away from their electronics!

This house had been a dream of ours for a long time. We are from the DC area, have two young kids, a menagerie of animals and wanted a place within an easy drive of DC on the water where we, and our friends, can come to get out of the hustle. The second we drove into Montross, we instantly fell in love with it. It's oozing with charm, super friendly people and really fun things to do! We think the Northern Neck is the best kept secret in the area. We’ve done a lot of work to try to make it the best experience possible for you and yours.
