Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and friendly place to stay. Host is very nice. The house had everything we needed and was just as described. Very close to Stratford Hall and Westmoreland State Park.

This is my absolute favorite place to stay in Montross. It’s super peaceful, very well maintained inside and out. It’s off the beaten path but not too far. Restaurants and shops close by. So many amenities! Pat and Lester could not be any nicer or attentive.
Hummingbirds were so beautiful and playful!
Perfect place for morning tea or afternoon reading.

Peaceful Stay

I had a peaceful and wonderful stay for almost 2 months. The place is very well maintained and kept. Many amenities were included such as washer and dryer and dishwasher. Pat was very easy to communicate with and got back with me right away. I will definitely book a stay there again should I return to the area.

Perfection

Very welcoming cottage, located nearby Stratford Hall, where I met with my grandniece that is doing her internship there, this summer.Close by is Colonial beach, where we watched the Fourth of July fireworks.The cottage was excellent. Every thing about it was perfect. Location, cleanliness, comfort, charm, Christian pictures to welcome weary travelers. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home.

Nice place!

Rather spontaneously decided to book a couple of nights during spring break, for me and my two kids. My eleven year old wanted to go fossil hunting, so that was the impetus for the trip. Pat’s VRBO was a perfect fit! Close to Fossil Beach. We didn’t end up finding any fossils or shark’s teeth, but we had a lovely time. The house seems new and clean. It’s convenient to a good grocery store and some quaint restaurants. Would definitely stay again!
