Sous la nouvelle propriété en mai 2017. Situé au cœur du quartier historique de Charleston, Southern Comfort est amarré au port de plaisance de Charleston City et à moins de 50 pieds de notre stationnement fermé.

Nous sommes à 3 pâtés de maisons de la batterie historique juste après la gare de la Garde côtière et six "blocs de la ville" de Meeting Street et de Market Area.

Des magnifiques maisons architecturales de la batterie, et les meilleurs restaurants au sud, aux magasins d'art et d'antiquités, Charleston est un lieu différent des autres.

Upon arrival at the Marina, the host was tardy and greeted us with a conversation on his cell phone. We followed him to the location of the boat carrying our luggage. The host introduced himself as David and provided a brief tour of the vessel, demonstrating how to flush the toilets. Initially, the boat appeared orderly, but the host only delivered a lecture on the misbehavior of previous guests.That evening, we discovered the boat to be filthy and disorganized. Additionally, we were informed that the top floor, which featured an outdoor seating area, was unavailable. There was an unpleasant odor emanating from all the closets and hallways of the boat. The host failed to provide us with the WiFi password or any passes for parking, which cost 14 per day.In summary, the experience was unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend it for a second stay.

Our friends had a great time. The rooms are small other than the master, and be prepared to handle the quirks of being on a boat, but this is definitely a stay you won’t forget!

About the owners:
Capt. Dave has been boating for over 25 years, holds a USCG 200 ton Masters license and also owns the Charter boat “Hatterass” directly in front of “Southern Comfort” as well as " Ship of Fools" just around the corner. We encourage you to book a charter with us and experience Charleston in a way that few visitors get the opportunity to.

We Married in May of 2000 and left Connecticut in 2013, moving to Charleston. We wanted to pursue our love of boating and be on the water all year round.

We started Carolina Marine Group in 2013 providing harbor tours. We have been building the business and the brand ever since. Our mission is to provide the best on the water experience in the greatest city in the US. We took ownership of “Southern Comfort” in 2017 to expand our operation and to provide our water loving guests a unique way of spending their time in Charleston.

We hope your stay with us is a memorable one and you fall in love with this great city as much as we have. Enjoy your stay and if there is anything we can do to make it more enjoyable don’t hesitate to ask.
