Lovely cottage

Gardener's Cottage was ideal for us while visiting family living in the area. Very comfortable and we loved the sound of the wind in the trees all around. Only criticism is that the kitchen area is not well enough lit; fortunately on this occasion we were not cooking meals.

A delightful cottage providing a very comfortable base from which to explore its beautiful location

This delightful cottage is very cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It’s tastefully decorated and well appointed providing everything necessary for a lovely stay in beautiful Pembrokeshire. It’s well located for walking to the beach or further afield along the Coast path. There is a daily bus service allowing access to various attractions of which there are many. Importantly, the customer service provided is professional, friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly recommended for and by a solo visitor.

Comfortable, well-maintained little cottage in beautiful location.

Great stay in another of Portclew’s beautiful, well-maintained self catering cottages. Always a pleasure to visit and features such as a welcome hamper and flowers add to the experience.

Fabulous property for the two of us. Quiet, comfortable and in a great location to explore.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Gardener's Cottage. The essentially three roomed property was perfect for the two of us. We feel that for two couples it would feel far less spacious. Our hosts were wonderful and helped out immediately when we were foxed by the stove top operation. The location was perfect for us. Out of the way, but a great place to explore Pembrokeshire from. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to navigate and our welcome gifts were great as we are both fond of Welsh Cakes. Heating was easy to control and we never felt overheated or too cold. The bathroom has a very good shower and heating bar to keep towels dry and warm. We used the laundry once and with no issues. We will definitely consider Portclew Cottages on our next trip to South Wales. Thank you. Andy & Chas, Astoria, Oregon

Gardeners Cottage

This property is excellent. It is very comfortable and extremely clean. The welcome basket was unexpected and delightful. It was quiet and the perfect place for us to completely relax.

A Totally Satisfactory and Enjoyable Stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed a 6 day stay starting 28/10/25. The cottage met all our needs i.e. facilities, cleanliness and location to the main attractions. Thank you again Team Jackson. P.S. The Pembrokeshire weather also played its part given the time of year.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

We recently stayed at Gardeners Cottage for our wedding anniversary. It was very spacious, exceptionally clean, and had everything we needed, including bin bags, dishwasher tablets, and kitchen towel etc. The sofas were very comfortable. Modern, clean bathroom. Very peaceful and pretty gardens. The bed was wonderfully comfy and huge! We could only stay two nights, but we wished we could have stayed longer. Very close to Freshwater East beach, which was just lovely. Within a short drive to many beautiful locations.

Great cottage for two

A lovely holiday cottage for 2 (although the bed settee would be fine for a child as well), well equipped with great bed and shower. Heating, should you need it, was responsive and controlled by thermostatic valves on the radiators & towel rail. Quiet position with car parking near the door. We didn’t use the washing machine or dishwasher so can’t comment. We would stay again without hesitation.

The Gardener's Cottage

Quite well appointed - some more/better sharp cooks' knives would be appreciated - and or a steel to sharpen what was there. Fortunately, we'd brought cooking oil, olive oil, vinegars, spices and herbs with us as there were none in the property. On the plus side, the bath/shower room was excellent; and the super-king-size bed was amongst the most comfortable we have ever had away on holiday. So a huge Thank You to Sarah and team for that. The peace and quiet of the setting/environment was as good as ever whilst its location was spot on. Being a long-exiled local from PD it is always a pleasure returning to my old stomping ground and reacquanting myself with the locality as well as old school friends who remained, or have returned. Thank you for yet another enjoyable stay - we will be back.

A clean well equipped cottage for all your needs in a very peaceful location. Ideal for visits to local attractions and stunning sandy beaches. An excellent second stay at Portclew Cottages.

A lovely short break

A very comfortable stay. Bed was extremely good; had the best few nights and the sofa and the refurbished bathroom were excellent too.
