Ellergill

Ellergill is a lovely property, very well equipped with two spacious reception rooms, a large kitchen with a separate dining room. Situated very centrally and with a parking area round the back of the property which is large enough for 3/4 cars. This was our second time staying here, and it didn’t disappoint.

Second visit

This is our second stay at Ellergill. Such a fab find. Easy to walk into Keswick. It’s own large car park. Bedrooms are all so comfy and clean. Kitchen has everything you need. Fab outdoor space. We have already booked for next year.

Family holiday

Great location, good off street parking although this is a short walk from the property. The house was great with a good selection of toys and games for the kids, having two lounges was good, communication with Keswick Cottages was good and we will definitely be booking again

Best stay

We had the best holiday here we have stayed in many houses around the Keswick area and this has to be the best very clean spacious and in a great location. Most of all the beds were like sleeping on clouds We will definitely be back

We love helping families make memories in the Lake District, and your review has really made us smile. Ellergill accommodates up to 10 adults, in two twin bedrooms, one double bedroom and two King bedrooms, over three floors. There is also private bike storage in the outdoor area, and this property has a dedicated parking area behind the house that can provide space for three or four cars. Fantastic house for group of 7 on an outdoor girls weekend. House furnished to high standard, bonus of so many bathrooms. Location is perfect for town and walks from the doorstep. We will definitely return. Off street parking which is hard to find in this area.

Huge house centrally located with all the creature-comforts

We visited as a group of friends, using the house as base for hiking. Parking was easy to access and plenty big enough for up to four cars. The house is in fantastic condition, with everything you can need. Its simply a moments walk to the end of the road to be in the middle of Keswick with lots of bars, restaurants and shops available. We'll certainly be returning in the future.

Perfect location, perfect house

This is our second time staying at Ellergill and it did not disappoint. Every room is perfect, clean with good facilities. The best way to describe it would be home from home.

Excellent stay

Excellent property in a great location, we were a group of 8 adults with a dog & it perfectly suited our requirements. Parking was great being able to park four cars in central Keswick was exceptional. The property was comfortable, and had everything we needed, would not hesitate to visit again.

Lovely family holiday

We had a lovely family holiday and weather was fantastic, so much so we’ve booked again, only one fault with the property is that there is not enough saucepans or baking trays for the size of property, could do with a few new ones!

Lovely house with ample parking

This is a well appointed house close to all amenities. It has everything you need for a large group. The house is well equipped and well presented. Comfortable beds, clean linen and lovely gardens that sadly we didn’t use as we had a little rain. Lots of space for people to sit together or have quiet time. Would definitely recommend

A great property in an ideal location

This was a brilliant property for week 3 of the Keswick convention, an ideal location in the centre of Keswick with parking too! House was comfortable and ideal for 2 families sharing together. Only complaint was the tin opener was useless and needs replacing!

We gathered the family together to celebrate a 69th birthday. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. The location is excellent and the nearby views stunning.

Another enjoyable stay

Thank you for another enjoyable stay at Ellergill. The house is perfect for two families to share with central access to Keswick, playgrounds and bike track. The furnishings are tasteful and cosy. There are thoughtful touches like games and puzzles and bath toys. The soft furnishings and lighting in the dining area have been improvement from previous years. Some minor changes to add to the experience: more towels could be provided, toilet roll missing in at least one bathroom and put locks on all bathroom / toilet doors for privacy. Also blinds in some bedrooms let in a lot of light in summer time, could add curtains too? Also we noticed that the drain by the back door may be blocked? It seemed to overflow with rainwater. Otherwise a really enjoyable holiday and looking forward to returning next year. Thank you

October ‘24 stay

We had a couple of maintenance issues during our stay which were dealt with immediately. Great house, fun times had. Kitchen needs pizza trays, digital scales and measuring jug for those of us who bake :-)

Excellent as last as long as you plan to cook no big meals

The only issue was with the cooking facilities. The oven is not suitable for cooking for a large crowd.

Excellent House for 2 families

We had a great stay at Ellergill. The location is brilliant. The house is very well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the fact they're were two lounging rooms and lots of shower rooms. The bike storage was an added bonus. We have booked again for next year. Our only negative was the acoustics in the dining room were not good making it fairly unbearable to eat in there with children. They need to add some soft furnishings to help with the sound.
