It's an award-winning green space with a lovely boating lake, miniature railway (perfect for little ones!), riverside walks, and beautiful flowerbeds. It's a wonderful spot to relax, have a picnic, or catch a brass band concert in the summer.

Matlock is also a fantastic base for exploring the wider Peak District. You can easily access scenic walking trails and enjoy the stunning countryside. Plus, for history buffs, the nearby Cromford Mills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a must-see. It's where the modern factory system began with Sir Richard Arkwright's water-powered cotton spinning mill – truly a place where history was made!
