Belle maison en rondins au bord du lac nichée dans les pins sur le lac Contoocook

Vivez la vie dans une cabane au bord du lac figurant sur «Log Cabin Living» de HGTV. Vacances sur un lac immaculé; nager ou faire du kayak depuis votre quai; faire griller des guimauves au foyer; profiter des sons des huards. Cette belle maison de 3 chambres au bord du lac est à la fois rustique et moderne: une véritable cabane en rondins, mais décorée avec un oeil vers le milieu du siècle moderne. Il a un long pont enveloppant pour profiter des couchers de soleil avec un verre de vin et des lits «incroyablement confortables» (selon un invité). Seulement 90 minutes de Boston, mais vous êtes caché dans les pins sur une crique protégée sur le magnifique lac Contoocook.

La cabine peut accueillir 8 personnes confortablement: deux chambres ont des lits queen et une chambre avec lits superposés dispose de 4 lits simples. Profitez de la grande salle de séjour ouverte avec moustiquaire dans la salle à manger, du pont extérieur et de la cuisine équipée. Un long palier couvre la longueur de la maison surplombant le lac, et il y a une zone inférieure de "cocktail" sur le pont près de l'eau.

La location comprend tout le nécessaire pour rendre votre séjour confortable et facile: Internet sans fil haut débit, (pas de télévision), draps et serviettes de bain, serviettes de plage, argenterie et verrerie, ustensiles de cuisine et grill, lave-linge et séchoir. Il y a aussi un foyer, du bois de corde, un gril et un quai. Parking pour jusqu'à cinq voitures.

Le lac se trouve à quelques pas de la maison. Descendez les escaliers vers votre quai en bois et nagez vers une plage de sable à travers la crique. Utilisez le kayak, les gilets de sauvetage et une pagaie et restez dans la crique ou partez explorer le lac principal de 344 acres. La région regorge de sentiers de randonnée, de pistes cyclables et de tous les types de restaurants dans la magnifique ville de Peterborough, à 15-20 minutes de route. Vous êtes également à quelques 14 minutes en voiture des sentiers du mont. Monadnock.

Hiver: Ski de fond, motoneige et ski alpin tous localisés.

Beautiful cabin with great views of the lake! The baseboard heat didnt work when we arrived but the woodstove worked perfectly and Alfred was very responsive in getting the baseboard fixed quickly

What a Great vacation spot and a fantastic host. Alfred was very accommodating to us and made our stay awesome. The lake was beautiful and we caught several fish and enjoyed kayaking. The fire pit was wonderful for the family at night after the long day on the lake. Thank you again Alfred for making our stay truly a memory for a life time.

Family getaway

We were in the area for a family wedding. The cabin, location, lake activities, restaurant and hiking suggestions were wonderful as well as the communication with the host. I wish we had been able to stay longer and hope we can return soon!

Relaxing Christmas

Our stay at this beautiful lake house was like a picture right out of a story book. Thank you Alfred and family for sharing your cabin for us to enjoy. Getaway on the lake

Beautiful secluded location. Quiet neighborhood right on the lake. Wonderful to go down to the dock in the morning and watch the lake come alive with a good cup of coffee. Plenty of room for the family. The log cabin interior was very cozy, clean and inviting. Kitchen had everything needed. The kayaks and fishing poles were put to good use. We stayed here to attend a nearby family wedding and it was SOOO much nicer than being in a hotel, having the family all together. Alfred made sure to check in with us to see that we had everything we needed. Thank you for a great weekend!

Amazing home

My family and I rented this home to stay in for a family wedding that was at the woodbound inn which was about a mile away. It ended up being cheaper than what the woodbound inn was going to charge us and.... let me tell you, more spacious and gorgeous! Our extended family that had been staying at the Woodbound Inn couldn't believe when they walked into this house and saw how amazing it was. Alfred was amazing to communicate with. He did everything he could to make sure we were settled in and happy and I couldn't say enough great things about this home! I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay especially if you've got a bigger family and don't want to stay at the Woodbound Inn!

Amazing log cabin on a lake!

We stayed at this amazing log cabin on a lake for 2 weeks. We're a mom, dad, and 6-year-old daughter. We all loved it! The house is large, open, and spacious, full of big windows with views of the forest and the lake. It's very clean and comfy. the beds were EXTRA comfy. We used the fireplace at night. We sat on the dock all the time and watched the water. We used the kayaks and paddleboards. We explored the islands on the lake and swam at those--they are like little sandbars in the middle of the lake. Around the dock at the house, the kids would swim, but it does have plant life and squishy stuff on the bottom. I enjoyed swimming at the islands, which have regular sandy bottom. We did some fishing and some grilling. We saw a big turtle (and fed him bread, which he loved), a frog, deer, and tons of birds. The house has a library of fabulous books. The screened-in porch was my favorite place. I loved it all and can't wait to go back some time!

Beautiful Log Cabin Home on the Lake!

My husband, two sons 24 and 21 and I, stayed here for three days at the end of August. It was the perfect place to rest up after a very busy summer. I loved the open floor plan with cathedral beamed ceilings in the living room and the entire back wall of this home is made of windows, allowing you to peak through the trees onto gorgeous Lake Contoocook! There are two bedrooms and bath upstairs with a landing that overlooks the main room. One has a queen size bed, the other has two sets of bunk beds, perfect for a large family! The sliding door you see in their picture, is the deck to the bedroom with the twins.The master bedroom with private shower/bath is located downstairs off the main room. All the mattresses were extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows and extra blankets. The kitchen had everything you could want to make your stay comfortable. We brought our own food and coffee however they do have coffee and condiments available for you to use which is a nice touch! The temperature dropped a little bit at night, so we took advantage of the wood stove located in gorgeous stone fireplace in the main room. The perfect setting to play our "Indie" board games that we brought along. There are a few classic board games in the house as well. Although there was no TV at the time of this review, there is wifi. We brought our own Bluetooth to play music! The enclosed sun porch is a wonderful extension to the home, perfect to have lunch during afternoon. Outside there is a multi-level deck that leads down the stairs to the lake. Although there is no beach on this property in which to swim, you are able to use the associations small beach which is a short swim or row, diagonal from their pier. The upper deck has rocking chairs, and an outdoor grill, and the lower deck has a small table and chairs with a great view of the lake. There are quite a few stairs leading down to the landing and pier, a nice little leg work out! We had such a wonderful time exploring this very large lake with so many nice places to row, from estuaries, and even a tiny island, a great place to swim!There is a kayak on the property which the owner allows you to use. We brought two of our own! On our last morning out, we had the good fortune of rowing alongside a Loon and got very close to a grey heron! The owner Alfred, was so pleasant to work with and always responded to my questions very quickly! We loved your home Alfred and will definitely be back!
