Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom holiday home will suit a small family or two couples eager to be close to the sea. From here, step out and stroll over to the beach opposite. Explore the Regency town of Sidmouth, with its array of independent shops, galleries and boutiques, as well as its many eateries. Also explore the town’s many beautiful gardens and its famous arboretum, while you are here, and treat the youngsters to a day out to the Crealy Theme Park and Resort, 9.5 miles away, with its rides, attractions and animals.

Enter the building at ground-floor level at the rear and climb the stairs up to the first floor, where there are two steps up, with hand rails, to the front door. Take two more steps up into the hall and make your way through to the lounge to take in the sea views over a cup of tea or to watch TV for a while. The kitchen/diner, which features two bay windows with window seats, has everything you need to help you prepare homecooked meals with your own ingredients on nights you choose to eat in. There is also a table for jolly holiday meals together. Both bedrooms, including a king-size and a twin, benefit from sea views and share the family shower room.

Sit on the wooden bench close to the apartment’s entrance to enjoy the fresh sea air. Guests can also stroll over to the town’s green cricket ground behind the apartment, to soak up the sunshine in deckchairs, which are free when matches are not being played.
