The host could easily provide a much better experience for guests by focussing on their safety, well-being and comfort rather than their electricity consumption. Having arrived in the dark it was difficult to get into the property with the key box, worn remote control for the electric gates, stiff door key, unexpected steep steps down immediately inside the door and the complete lack of lighting all serving to make us feel less than welcome. In daylight it was clear that the lack of care over health and safety extended to poor cleanliness of kitchen appliances (coffee filter machine with mouldy water, kettle with interior rust, dishwasher with blocked filter). The exterior was not as depicted in the photos, as has been reported by a previous review, this is not a pleasant grassy area but bare ground. The patio, steps down to the pool area and the route to the pool and the poorly placed umbrella are not barefoot-friendly, sandals are essential. The host should provide some further hard landscaping to make this space useable. There are no steps to get in/out of the pool. There are no mats inside the doors which led to slipperiness during the several spells of rain, in the most prolonged downpour the roof leaked over the inside of the patio doors.Overall the place needs a bit of TLC and some updating. One of the least comfortable villas we have stayed at in the Lindos area, the location being really it’s only standout good point.
