Bord de l'eau au nord du cou Virginia Rivah Home avec Kayaking

La maison est située sur une crique tranquille au large de la riviÚre Great Wicomico, à quelques kilomÚtres de la baie de Chesapeake.

Le Rivah Home est devenu une destination de choix pour le kayak et le paddle.

Deux pagaie [SUP] et deux kayaks sont fournis [un kayak tandem arrive bientÎt]. Ce sont des kayaks récréatifs. Si vous souhaitez apporter un kayak de mer, etc., il y a beaucoup d'espace pour vous garer entre les sorties.

Explorez des criques riches en faune, notamment Barretts Creek, Horn Harbour Creek et Ball Creek.

Les kayakistes plus expĂ©rimentĂ©s voudront peut-ĂȘtre pagayer vers la rĂ©serve naturelle de Reedville ou du marais Dameron. Les deux sont Ă  environ sept miles de la maison Rivah.

La réserve naturelle du marais Dameron, d'une superficie de 316 acres, fait partie d'une série de terres protégées qui bordent les rives ouest et est de la baie de Chesapeake, en Virginie. Cette réserve contient l'une des zones humides les plus importantes de la baie de Chesapeake pour les communautés d'oiseaux des marais

La pĂȘche en kayak est devenue trĂšs populaire, en particulier la pĂȘche au loup [sĂ©baste] dans les rĂ©gions de Northern Neck et de la baie de Chesapeake. This property is absolutely beautiful from the house to the surrounding area. Mary and Larry are terrific hosts and communicate well. We had the pleasure of staying over Christmas with family and fur babies. The house was beautifully decorated which made you feel right at home. The beds were comfortable, and I cannot say enough about the kitchen, it has anything you would ever need to prepare and serve a feast. I loved the scenery and the quiet property. We spent 5 days at the Rivah House with our adult children and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house was clean and comfortable and had a beautiful view from every room. We spent quite a bit of time on the water kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing and crabbing.Mary and Larry are great communicators and their house was well-stocked with essentials - from cookware and coffee to kayaks and paddles.

Absolutely Amazing Rivah Home

We had an absolutely wonderful time here! This place exceeded all expectations. The house is well stocked and super clean. The owners were very nice and helpful. We had a blast fishing and just hanging out enjoying the property. My family and I are already planning another vacation here. I cannot say enough to express how amazing this home is.

I have never stayed at a rental that was as well supplied with just about everything you might need during a stay. The house was spotless. The kitchen has new appliances and any pot or pan you might need. There are plenty of utensils for grilling outside as well. The views over the water were enjoyable and restful whether they were from the lower porch or upper deck. A very pleasant place to stay.

Wonderful property!

There were 3 families that were in the area for a wedding. We had a wonderful time at the property. The views were awesome and the owners had coffee, spices, bathroom amenities, and condiments available. The kitchen was fully stocked. We were grateful, since we cooked several meals there. Would definitely recommend this property to others!!

THE perfect location to escape and relax with friends

Larry and Mary were the perfect hosts. The house was even more impressive than the pictures. Situated on its own little peninsula and quiet cove the house offered relaxation and beautiful sunsets. Just pack a bag and go. The kitchen and home have all the utensils and gadgets needed for your stay.

Exquisite!

One of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed at! Larry and Mary are such hospitable hosts. The house was exquisite... layout was exactly as pictured, absolutely spotless, and stocked with more helpful items for guests to use than I've ever seen elsewhere. The location was so peaceful and exactly what our group was looking for. Everyone had plenty of space within the house to either spread out or come together. Larry and Mary thought of absolutely everything, and were so kind to provide a helpful list of their recommendations in the area, many of which we visited and enjoyed. Highly recommend!!!

Relaxing stay at a gorgeous property

We were a group of girlfriends visiting the Northern Neck for a long weekend and found this property to be everything stated and more! It’s surrounded by water with beautiful sunsets, easy kayaking and paddle boarding, both provided by the owners. The house itself was lovely, very comfortable with everything you need. We especially enjoyed all the great places to gather, the open upper deck, the covered porch, the nice long dock, and the fire pit area all with beautiful water views. I’ve already told several others about it and hope to return!

Above and Beyond

The house and property were wonderful. These hosts truly get it. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for an excellent weekend. They truly anticipated our needs and the kitchen was a breath of fresh air to other places I’ve stayed. 10/10 will be back. It was hard to find a dog friendly home and this place was immaculate. The crab trap was a fun surprise and between it, the trout, and croaker caught off the dock and in the kayak we had all we needed.

A wonderful place!

The check in process was quick and simple! The home is gorgeous, with views out every window. Plenty of space for a girls weekend, in a peaceful setting. Kayaks and SUPs available for use, fully stocked kitchen, with plenty of amenities. The fireplace came in handy when we got rained on our first night. Mary and Larry are excellent hosts, and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Will definitely come back again and again!

Highly recommend

My family of four (all adults) and our fur baby spent this past weekend in this home. First, the property is secluded and private. Very nice view of the river. Very clean. I love that there’s no carpet and rugs! The beds are comfortable and the hosts thought of everything you need. Firewood, crackers, chocolate, marshmallows for smores, bottled water, sunscreen, bug spray, lanterns for outside. The little things matter, like well labeled switches, good wifi, place to work, well stocked kitchen. Larry and Mary were very responsive and provided recommendations of places to eat, shop, and things to do. Overall, we highly rate this place!

Absolutely beautiful

What a special place! Gorgeous coastal style house, looks very new, and filled with everything you can possibly need or want. No detail is spared, from the comfy beds to the assortment of coffee flavors to the kayaks, paddle boards, grills, fire pit, the list is endless. But the best part is the location of the house: a gorgeous property surrounded by water on three sides with expansive vistas of sunsets on the water. Truly gorgeous. We loved it and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend it.

Perfect, quiet getaway for three generations under one roof!

Mary and Larry’s house was by far the most comfortable and charming VRBO home we have ever stayed in. The views are breathtaking. The accommodations are perfect for extended family. My mother-in-law was very content in her downstairs master suite. Our college aged sons had their own bedrooms and family room upstairs. My husband and I enjoyed the view from our upstairs master bedroom. We all commented on how comfortable the beds were. We slept like babies! We spent our days kayaking, paddle boarding, walking country roads, and cooking in the wonderful kitchen. Every night we watched the sun dip down into the “rivah.” We took some of the most spectacular sunset photos ever. Kilmarnock is only a fifteen minute drive. There are plenty of grocery stores to get provisions. In short, we loved staying here and hope to rent from Mary and Larry again.
