Welcome to Badger's Retreat - A stunning detached beach house, ideal for couples or a family with young children (perfect for a family of 4 plus an infant) - part of The Bay Filey holiday village - with pool and beach access nearby!

Badger's Retreat is located in the centre of the village, close to the beach, tennis court, playground and village centre. Enjoy a spacious terrace with long dog leads for your favourite friends to relax in the sun!

Redecorated throughout in October 2025 this is a great addition to the Anchor Bay Portfolio!

Enter Badger's Retreat through the step free door into the hallway with storage for shoes and coats. To your left are the master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room, and the second bedroom with two single beds.

There is also another shower room with jack-and-jill doors.

To the right is the open-plan kitchen / dining / lounge space with sumptuous leather sofas and SMART TV (with Netflix, amazon prime, Apple TV etc - bring your own logins). Exit through the large bifold doors to the deck with seating, ideal for alfresco dining or sitting out whilst the children play outside.

We leave a few games for our guests to use. The log burner makes this beach house warm and cosy for breaks all year round.

-Price includes bedding and towels for each guest (except infant), high speed wifi, and all energy use (fair usage policy applies)

This property is part of The Bay Holiday Village and all bookings gain direct beach access, unlimited use of The Bay Filey Indoor Pool, Baby Pool, Sauna, Steam Room and Gym. Some amenities are chargeable locally like food and drink, tennis and any activities operated by Away Resorts such as Archery and Crafts.

The owners (Steve and Amanda) look forward to welcoming you to their beach house.

Our short break at Badgers Retreat

Lovely comfortable and well equipped Lodge with toys and games for adults, children and dogs. It's in a good position, not too far from the beach and main facilities but still quiet and relaxing. Could be even better if a small welcome pack was provided including dish cloth, washing up liquid and soap for short break customers who don't want to have to buy these for just a few days stay.

Lovely stay at Badgers Retreat.

Enjoyed our stay over New Year. Lovely property, facilities at the bay are great, meal at the pub was exceptional. Lovely property this place

Holiday review

It is a beautiful lodge well equipped. I looked for comfortable chairs which we got My two comments would be that the water in the Jack and Jill bathroom was scolding hot and difficult to adjust in the shower which could be dangerous especially for children using it. The sleepers on the drive are really wearing and uneven quite difficult to walk especially when they are wet. However we would book the lodge again we had a wonderful holiday.

Badge retreat

We had a great stay the location is great near to shop / bar/ swimming pool the accommodations was very good needs more knives and forks could not of had a better stay and a great Christmas the log burner made it homely
