the location is great for everything but the shower is so small my partner couldnt get in it comfortable bed and cant get into the oven properly as the door catches on the unit beside it otherwise enjoyed our stay

Needs to be cleaner Shower very very smallToo much clutter hanging around Broken lamps and dirty fan in the wardrobe Chest of drawers in the wardrobe in small bedroom so only a few inches to hang clothes massive table behind settee under stairs when there is already a table and chairs? doesn't need to be there Under sink lots of clutter with dirty glass wear and greasy oven trays. washed a couple of pans that's all we needed. Airing cupboard with junk in it Old rug and dirty mattress cover and blankets left in a drawerSuch a shame as the location is amazing just needs minimal spend and deep clean a de clutter as the apartments around us had done.Despite that had a lovely time Wroxham is beautiful.

mould on small bedroom wall had just been painted over but looks to be coming back through, settee had been repaired with a piece of wood, toilet pan was filthy with lime scale and shower was much too small, I weigh 13 stone so not a real heavy weight but could not wash myself properly measured it and there is app 16 inches between taps and the side of the cubicle, my son amongst other health problems has asthma so when he showed me the mould on Thursday morning I did not want him to stay in the room any longer, so we packed up and left Thursday morning, i have taken pictures of these items should you want to see them

We note that you say you left just a day (2 nights) early from a 7 day stay which we only have your say for as you did not at any time contact the owner by message or phone, or our professional cleaning and management company who are on site every day and whose phone number is clearly displayed on the wall of the entrance hall and in our online and hardcopy cottage handbook. Had you done so they would have reassured you that some spots of mould from the winter low season had been treated and was now dead, and your suggestion of it being painted over was just the residue of that treatment, and there would be no chance of it reappearing in the recent very long spell of hot and dry weather. They would have also immediately dealt with any problem in the toilet. They professionally clean the cottage at least once a week.

We booked Albion Cottage Wroxham from the 18th July for a week. We lasted 4 days. Communication was good up to our arrival but has been non existent since our return following attempted phone calls and emails. The cottage was very disappointing.Tired, dated and dirty in places. The toilet bowl was all stained brown below the water line, there was mould on the bedroom walls and on the velux window and cobwebs, there were stains on the bathroom vinyl floor. The “new walk in shower” was a 2ft x 2ft quadrant shower with sliding doors which you could just about close when you got in but then couldn’t move, the chrome frame was rusty. The curtains on the patio doors was only just hung with lots of hooks missing, we had to clean the tea spoons which were all tea stained. The wind out sun canopy was rotten and mouldy. The bistro table and chairs were all rusty covered in cobwebs and dirty and unusable. We spoke to a lady who was in the cottage next door (not Wherry) and she showed us round and what a stark difference.

Considering that this was the beginning of the summer season, the property was not ready in any way. The outside perimeter of the property was very dirty which should’ve been ready for paying guests. You wouldn’t want to sit out, let alone eat there.Reading the description of the cottage, you can see that it stretches political correctness. eg ‘walk-in shower’ you imagine that to be perfect for most. I have never seen one so small. If you dropped the soap you had to open the doors to be able to bend over to reach it. The host mentioned that there was a convector fire in the lounge with ‘flame effect’ Lovely. But that’s all it did, no heat. It was visually nice but useless. We had poor weather for most of the week which although advised, the wi-fi was iffy. The tv relyed on this. I would have to call the place shabby. Over cluttered with old furnishings. The windows upstairs were awful. Only able to open the main bedroom one. The others, full of webs. As for the toilet …..! Having said this, Albion could have been the best cottage, but the place desperately needs some loving care and attention.

It’s a real shame to write this review as there were so many positives and we had a fantastic break. Location superb *****Communication from host superb *****Had its own mooring superb *****Waking up to the birdlife and morning activities in the boatyard superb *****Mini welcome pack was a nice touch *****But now comes the kicker, the place was just tired and truly in need of some TLC. Mold in the main bedroom window area and again on the second bedroom wall and blinds. Cobwebs everywhere. Dirty stains in the toilet. The toilet seat itself was real cheap plastic and had seen some heavy use. The Lino in the bathroom had some odd stains on it. The second bedroom had cracked and chipped paint. I hope anyone who stays here is not heavy set as even my 11 year old boys struggled to fit in the shower. There are bigger showers on the cruise boats.Then the garden area, the picnic table was old and battered, The other garden furniture was rusty and close to collapse.That said as a base to explore the local area, hire a boat for the day or generally just take some time to be at peace with the world it was a fantastic spot to be.
