Beautiful two bedroom cottage in the stunning views over the Rhondda Valley: Perfect holiday home or contractor’s accommodation. Ideal location for the local valley heritage attractions; Magnificent scenery of this world-famous location. This beautiful holiday home has everything you need for your stay including; WiFi, garden, full-kitchen, dining table, smart TV, two comfortable bedrooms, lounge, bathroom. Pet friendly (additional fee) Free unrestricted parking.



The Space:

Downstairs consists of a open plan living/ dining area, the kitchen and bathroom are located to the back of the property. The kitchen is fully equipped and leads out onto the garden. The bathroom has a walk in shower, toilet and sink.



Upstairs, you have the back bedroom with a king size bed in. The front bedroom has two, single beds.

Parking is easy with free unrestricted street parking on this street and neighbouring streets

One of the must-visit attractions is the Rhondda Heritage Park, home to the Welsh Coal Mining Experience. Here, you can take the Black Gold Underground Guided Tour, led by former miners who share fascinating stories of life underground. The interactive displays and historical artefacts bring the coal mining history to life, making it a captivating experience for all ages.



For nature enthusiasts, Barry Sidings Countryside Park is a delightful spot. This park offers a variety of activities, including walking and cycling trails, a mini bike pump track, and scenic picnic areas. The park's lakes and adventure playground make it a perfect destination for families.



Trehafod is also an excellent base for exploring the surrounding mountains. The Rhigos Mountain offers breathtaking views and is accessible via the A4061 road. Although the road may occasionally be closed for maintenance, the journey is well worth it for the stunning vistas. The Bwlch Mountain Walk takes you to one of the most scenic viewpoints in South Wales, offering a rewarding experience for hikers.

Getting Around:

Getting around Trehafod is convenient and straightforward. Situated at the junction of the Rhondda and Taff valleys, where the River Rhondda meets the Taff, Trehafod offers easy access to several key routes. The A470 connects you to Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil, making it a primary route for north-south travel. Running parallel to the A470 is the A4054, the former main road that also follows the Taff Valley.



To the south, the A473 leads to Llantrisant and Pencoed, while the A4058 to the west traces the River Rhondda to Porth and further into the Rhondda Valley. A short drive from Trehafod is the M4 motorway, providing access westwards to Swansea and eastwards to Newport, Bristol, and beyond.



Trehafod also boasts excellent rail links, making train travel a convenient option. For those who prefer to explore on two wheels, the area offers various cycle routes that allow you to enjoy the picturesque surroundings and scenic landscapes.
