The house was dirty -stains on the couch- dust bunnies- spider webs - stains on the mattress. The sheets were thin and very cheap with no mattress pad so when the sheets slipped off - I could see the disgusting mattress.The foundation seems to be failing so there is such an alarming slant to the floor in the kitchen that the refrigerator door swings open and bangs the table every time you open it.The a/c is under rated for the space and it took hours for it to cool off when we arrived at check in time of 4PM. The bathrooms were recently updated but no toilet paper holders were installed and the shower door was installed opening the wrong way. The neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed eating at the restaurant in the neighborhood.

It’s the perfect property for a family that loves to fish. Our family fished early mornings and late at night. A very nice beach is close and the community pool is very beautiful and well kept. Sleep quarters are great and lots of sitting space to be comfortable together. The only concern is the trash system. Because it’s only picked up once a week, we arrived to find a smelly bin of the previous guests’ trash. Another upgrade would be ceiling fans especially in bedrooms. Most Texans are use to ceiling fans!

There were four of us staying at the house. We did not arrive until 5 pm and left early the next morning. The house was clean. I would suggest that a larger soap be provided for showering. I wish we could have time to enjoy the deck and scenery.

Relaxing stay

It was an enjoyable stay. Plenty of sleeping space for large families. We enjoyed seating outside in the evenings and fishing but everything we caught was fairly small. We would stay here again!

Great Beach Access

Location was great and very close to the beach and outside of the main Galveston strip. So, if you like having beach space or not being ontop of other beach goers, the west side of the island is a beautiful place to stay.

Wonderful vacation

We had a great time at the property. The location was nice and quiet and close to the beach. We enjoyed fishing, we caught a lot by the dock. The property can use a bit of an upgrade but overall we had a wonderful family time and the house was big enough to accommodate our group. The host was very responsive.
