Welcome to the "Homey" Apartment at Villa Amaryllis

Our 40-square-meter, ground-floor apartment is a great fit for couples or families looking for a functional base in Paleokastritsa. The villa is built on an elevated hillside and is completely surrounded by an abundance of mature olive trees. This location gives you a great opportunity to relax and feel connected to the local landscape, while still remaining close enough to easily explore the region. For your convenience, the apartment features its own private entrance.

Sleeping Spaces & Layout
The indoor layout is thoughtfully arranged to comfortably sleep up to 4 guests:

- Bedroom: A private, restful bedroom equipped with a double bed, linens, storage space, and its own independently controlled A/C unit.

- Living Room: A bright, multi-use space featuring a double sofa-bed (which opens up to a comfortable 150cm width), linens, a flat-screen TV for entertainment, and a second independent A/C unit.

- For Families Traveling with Babies: To save you packing space, a baby high-chair and a comfortable baby bed are available upon request at no extra charge.

The Bathroom Layout
- Bathroom: A modern, private bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink. It is located in the main living/dining area, just before the entrance to the bedroom. This layout is highly convenient for groups or families of up to 4; anyone sleeping on the sofa-bed in the living room has direct access to the bathroom without having to walk through the private bedroom.

Kitchen & Dining Area
The apartment features a dedicated kitchen and dining area that is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your own breakfasts, beach picnics, or traditional cooked dinners:

- Appliances: A cooktop with a smooth ceramic surface, refrigerator, a dishwasher to handle the cleanup, an electric kettle, a toaster, and a coffee machine.

- Fresh Drinking Water: We have installed a water filter system under the sink. This means the tap water is drinkable right from the faucet, saving you from having to buy and carry heavy plastic water bottles up the hill.

- Balcony: Located at the front of the apartment, this balcony also serves as your private entrance.

- Private Patio: Accessible directly from the bedroom at the backside of the apartment. This dedicated, paved outdoor area is framed by local plants, offering your own space to step out for some fresh air.

Shifting Views & The Historic Donkey Path
The property is positioned to offer a unique, changing connection to the surrounding coastal scenery:

- The Nesting Cliffs: Directly opposite the villa's vantage point is a massive, rugged, natural cliff face where local wild birds make their nests. Watching them catch the mountain breeze and soar over the bay is a truly unique backdrop to your stay.

- Hiking & Nature Access: A historic, traditional donkey path runs directly past the property. This scenic, stone-paved trail winds right up through the hills and olive groves, leading straight to the traditional village of Lakones and the famous Bella Vista viewpoint, allowing you to head out for world-class hikes right from your doorstep.

General Facilities
- Utilities & Safety: Enjoy free Wi-Fi access throughout the apartment and villa, and modern card-activated electricity systems for safety.

- Laundry Conveniences: A private washing machine in the kitchen and a folding drying rack are provided inside the apartment so you can easily clean swimwear and clothing.

- Shared Grounds: Guests have full access to our lovely shared upper garden featuring sunbeds and an outdoor table, with a beautiful, direct view of the Ionian Sea. It is the ultimate spot to witness the golden hour just before sunset. On the upper floor, you will also find a traditional stone-brick barbecue.

- Parking Details: Free parking is easily available directly outside the main property gate and on the road.

Location & Distances
Villa Amaryllis sits on a hill in Paleokastritsa, roughly 400 meters above the main coastal road. The location places you within easy reach of the area's top spots:

- 500 meters: A short walk to the nearest fully-stocked supermarkets, traditional Greek tavernas, local shops, and bars.

- 10-minute walk: Straight down the hill to the crystal-clear waters of Platakia Beach and the main beach, Agios Spyridon (where you can easily rent motorboats to explore hidden sea caves).

- 5-minute drive: Up the winding coastal roads to the historic Paleokastritsa Monastery.

- Getting Around & The Views: Our hillside position is exactly what gives the apartment its beautiful views and natural surroundings. To make your daily trips entirely comfortable, easily bring up groceries, and enjoy total freedom to explore the rest of Corfu, renting a car or a scooter is highly recommended.
