Cottage avec vue sur le parc national d'Acadie

Charmant, confortable chalet récemment rénové avec de belles vues, très proche de l'Acadia National Park et à quelques minutes à pied de la belle Morgan Bay.

Le chalet est élégant et rustique. Une combinaison rare de nature, de confort et de classe. Le chalet est situé sur une ancienne ferme du Maine. Un centre d'arts du spectacle unique est situé à quelques centaines de mètres. Un joli centre de méditation est également à quelques minutes à pied.
Les clients peuvent choisir l'un ou l'autre ou aucun si ils veulent passer un séjour privé.

D'ailleurs, il y a un piano en chalet pour les musiciens et autres.

Sur demande spéciale, nous pouvons parler d'animaux domestiques.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at the Cottage with a View. We were thankful for the air conditioning as the temperature soared into the 90’s even in Maine! The one room cottage was very comfortable with a queen bed, a futon sofa, table and two chairs and even a piano. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck and the sun setting in the evening. Alan, the innkeeper, was always responsive to our questions and genuinely wanted to ensure we enjoyed our time in Surry. He told us about a lovely beach area and lobster shack just minutes from the cottage. He also gave us a tour of the Surry Arts Barn next to our cottage as there were no performances while we were there. Maybe we will return when there is a music show that fits our schedule and stay again at one of the cottages. We highly recommend this lovely spot away from the crowds of Acadia during the summer months.

We stayed for a week, 2 adults and one teenager who stayed on futon and one small dog. I like to give detailed reviews bc I like to read detailed reviews! Host told us to call before we arrived and asked us to be patient with him as his housekeeper quit and he had to clean the property himself. It was cleaned ok but not up to my standards and I ended up cleaning more myself. Sheets and towels are all mismatched and older. one towel I didn’t feel comfortable using. Futon is quite hard but our son didn’t seem to mind. Pictures on VRBO need to be updated by owner because some aspects of property are different. It is a quiet area and nice view of mountain. Good for my leashed dog to roam. Be advised that it is on a property close to other cottages which I feel doesn’t come across accurately on the photos. It was fine and other people weren’t bothersome. Owner does live across the lawn from this cottage and runs the music barn next door to the cottage. We chose property bc it was dog friendly and affordable and near Acadia. Plenty to eat at in Ellsworth which is 15 min away. Personal opinion is that it’s ok to stay for a night or two.

Loved staying at the cottage during our trip to Acadia National Park! It was the perfect distance from the park where it was an easy drive but also far enough away from the super touristy areas that we were able to relax at night. Such a quiet, beautiful property that we'd love to stay at again!

What a great isolated place to stay

Just a night in Maine

Property was beautiful, very picturesque. The cabin had all the necessities and even a beautiful piano play. We brought our two dogs and there was plenty of room in the cozy cabin.

Peaceful idyllic setting. Cottage is very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Kitchen is well set up with everything needed for meal prep. Bathroom contains all essential items and wonderfully hot water for showers. The view from the deck is amazing. Half hour drive to Acadia Nation Park. Highly recommend for anyone exploring Bar Harbor/Acadia Park

I have lived on this property for close to 40 years. I am originally from South Shore, Long Island, near New York City. In my younger years I lived, worked and went to university in New York City. I have pioneered the field of music therapy in the state of Maine, both on the higher academic levels and in terms of interesting and far reaching clinical projects.

For the last 6-7 years I have put my time and energy into developing a seasonal performing arts project (www.surryartsandevents.com). In addition, I have found I am well-suited for hospitality and have been successful in running three popular VRBO/AirBNB rentals. I know the area well, and like to share what I know with others. We are a 5-6 minute walk to the coast and well situated between two great towns, Blue Hill and Ellsworth. We are in close proximity to Acadia National Park, which draws millions of visitors every year before, after and during the pandemic. Finally, I very much want to be part of the solution, not the problem, so we follow all State of Maine CDC COVID-19 guidelines.

I try my very best to assist guests in every way possible. I very much want to share this beautiful area and see people having fulfilling visits and experiences.
