Plateau fraîchement peint du salon avec piscine au-dessus du sol. Marchez de la salle de séjour à la piscine en deux étapes. Quiet getaway while staying close to some restaurants

The house was quiet and roomy. The parking was great and the road wasn't a main road so it was great to have some peace and quiet. The house is also not too far away from restaurants which was great.

What a great place to stay! So unbelievably family and pet friendly- it was such a joy and refreshing to check in and stay at a house where the owner thought about everything we would need. Spacious, clean- kids loved the finished basement and the pool especially. Well stocked and 15-30 minutes from almost everything! Thank you Valerie!

Perfect For Our Family

We came to explore Acadia, and this cottage was only 25 minutes from the park. Our kids enjoyed the pool after long days of hiking. Kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals each evening. Grocery store is close by!

Valerie's house was clean and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Great location for exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia, and close to anything you could need in Ellsworth. The pool was very refreshing after a day of hiking! We would definitely stay again in the future!

Had a great stay. Was too chilly to use the pool but it was very clean. Home was very clean and fit 4 adults and 2 children just perfect. Would stay again if we come back to the area.

Quiet and Homey

Beautiful property on a quiet road. Close to Walmart which was convenient for grabbing groceries. Easy drive to Acadia National Park (Mt Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula areas), Bar Harbor, etc., plus just a few minutes from Lamoine Beach if you want a lower key day. The pool was greatly enjoyed by the kids in our pockets of time at the house. Valerie was great to communicate with. Highly recommend and if we get to visit Maine again we would definitely stay here!

Wonderful stay near Acadia

The house is very clean and we had plenty of room for our family. The pool and outside area are well kept and the kids enjoyed swimming. All the comforts of home and communication with owners was very easy.

Family vacation

The home was beautifully decorated, and felt welcoming and cozy. It had all the amenities of home, and we especially enjoyed the pool. It was nice being in a quiet neighborhood, but not too far from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Perfect for us!

This house was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 2 dogs. We spent most of our time in Bar Harbor and Acadia but dinners and games after will be lasting memories!

Great place

We really enjoyed our stay at Valerie’s house. It was very comfortable and a good location in a quiet area. It was just the right distance away from the busy Bar Harbor. It was too chilly to enjoy the above ground pool, but we loved the fire pit! The beds were comfortable and they have plenty of kitchen things for making a few meals at home. Loved the area and exploring Acadia! Would stay again.

It was a cute house providing a great launch point for our exploration of Acadia NP!

The house was nice and homey. The outside space with the deck and pool was awesome! The kids had such a blast running around the yard and playing in the pool! The grill made it nice as we could cook dinner and play at the same time. Convenient drive to Acadia NP and the Lamoine beach!

Beautiful inside and out!

What a great house! Our family loved the amount of room inside of the house, the beautiful decor, space outside for the kids to run, the pool with a very private wooded backyard, and proximity to Acadia / Bar Harbor. Quite honestly, the pictures didn’t do it justice. I highly recommended it to anyone visiting the area.

Host family was very easy to work with.

We were very pleased with the attentiveness of the host family. They were very quick to plow, empty garbage, return calls, refund security payments, etc. The accommodations were clean and spacious. Brand new kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures. We would definitely recommend it to others looking in the area.

Good for Families...Great pool !

Our grandkids really loved the pool. The house was clean and spacious. It was about 20 miles from Acadia /Bar Harbor.areas. Communication was good with host. We requested extra towels and had them the next morning. SENIORS may not be comfortable in this house because the stairs are narrow, steep and have no hand rails, and there is no bathroom on the floors where the sleeping areas are. Also , if you mind the heat, only the LR and one bedroom are airconditioned. The other upstairs bedroom was too hot to sleep in, even with a fan, while we were there in July.

The property was as described, but there is no air conditioning in the larger bedroom downstairs. The house is very nice and was comfortable for 4 adults. We met the owner Valerie on our first day there, and saw her just about every day at some point, or received a message asking if she could go there. She stayed outside in the yard usually, but was there quite often. On our last day, as we were packing up and getting ready for our 6 hour ride home, she showed up at 9:30am. She stayed in the yard & said she was there to move the furniture so her husband could weed wack later. There is no heavy furniture, a few outdoor chairs. I found this to be very intrusive as we were trying to do all the last minute cleaning, packing and double checking that we have everything. 9:30 am when guests are getting out by 11 was not cool in my opinion. She said, don’t let me chase you away, but that is exactly what it did. I have never even met most of my hosts on any VRBO rental. So this was a big surprising. She is very nice, but I think Valerie needs to give her renters their space.

I am so sorry for the inconvenience of stopping by our home. I always give the quest 100% privacy and rarely stop by. I usually only come to the house to check on the pool. We have never had an issue with our pool, like we had while you were here. I am so very sorry, but I usually rarely come to the house. The pool needed extra chemicals that we needed to add, so we could get it clear and balanced. This is not a usual occurrence and I am so very sorry. We have always had 4 to 5 star reviews and giving our guests a comfortable and private setting has always been our goal. I apologize for having to take so much time with our pool, and I stayed outside by the pool while I worked on it.

It is like being in a brand new home! We are located on a quiet road, but close to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and Ellsworth! We are also 3 minutes away from Lamoine State Park, Lamoine Beach, and Blunts Pond. Blunts pond is a great place for swimming or fishing. There are also hiking trails in Lamoine! We have an above ground swimming pool and nice deck off the living room.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Our home has a brand new kitchen with granite countertops. We have two bedrooms with a partially finished basement with a queen sized bed. At Lamoine State Park, many people go fishing for mackerel right off the dock. Lamoine Beach has incredible views out the bay and nice place to walk along the shore.
