I do want to clarify a few points for future guests. The property damage protection requirement is disclosed as part of the booking information on the platform; as with any vacation rental, guests are encouraged to review the complete listing and booking terms before reserving. After years of operating a vacation rental—and unfortunately experiencing significant damage with little or no recourse—I do require this protection to help safeguard the property and the amenities I provide for guests. The items you reported were maintenance issues, not damage caused during your stay, and I took the appropriate steps to address the items that could be handled immediately. Some of the other items were cosmetic or maintenance-related and did not prevent the use or enjoyment of the condo. For clarity, the dryer door was not broken, although I appreciate the opportunity to check it. I take guest feedback seriously and have followed up on the maintenance items identified after your departure. My goal is always to provide a clean, comfortable and well-maintained home while also being transparent about the realities of maintaining a privately owned vacation property.
