This home has big open rooms to entertain a big family. We enjoyed having our Cousins, Aunts, and Uncles all over for family dinner nights. The living room is huge with tons of seats for everyone to watch television together. This is our favorite home in Jekyll. We can't wait to stay at Grace Cottage next year for our Annual Family Trip.

Large comfortable home eith easy beach access

Stayed for Memorial Day Weekend with the family. We had a total of 6 people (4 adults and 2 kids) and yhere was more than enough room for everyone. The sun room has very comfortable seating! The home could use a deep cleaning to address dust buildup in difficult to reach areas (ceiling fans, end os tile walls. Foor frames, tight corners of bathrooms). The kitchen was well equiped for a family who isn't fond of eatibg out for every meal. Our stay was quite rainy and it wiuld have been nice if the rooms in rhe front of the home (formal livingroom and sitting room) offered more entertainment for kids like another TV, small table and some voard games.

June 2017 Stay

We had a wonderful time on Jekyll Island this summer! It had been 5 years since we had been back, and had really missed it. Even though some things have changed, others remain the same. We especially enjoyed riding our bikes around the island, visiting the wildlife at the pavilion, and walking through the historic district. Clam Creek and driftwood beach are also still favorites, as is the bike ride through the marsh. The home we stayed in, Grace Cottage, was beautiful. It truly felt like home. We are very appreciative to its owners for sharing their home with us. We are also thankful for Jekyll Realty, who made late arrival arrangements for us because of our daughter's softball tournament. We truly can't imagine vacationing anywhere else. Thank you, and we look forward to coming back next summer!

We loved our first time stay at the island! It exceeded our expectations. The rental house was awesome and very spacious. Very close to the beach with lots of wild life to view. We loved being close enough to bike to popular attractions.

Wish I could have stayed longer!

I am completely spoilt and may never stay at a hotel again! The property was clean and well taken care of. Pictures really don't do it justice. The home was very roomy and with windows everywhere, it was very bright. While the house wasn't directly on the water, it seamed that EVERY side street provides access! But do pay attention to the tide chart. Most of Jekyll is surounded by sand dunes and huge rocks that protect the dunes. These rocks stop the tide from coming inland and washing the dunes away. This also effectively means there is no beach at high tide. The management staff was great to work with. We knew we wouldn't make it to the area by check in. Staff opened the house for us and had lights on awaiting our arrival. There was a small problem with the air. The person working after hours, returned our call very quickly and promptly called a licensed air guy to perform the repair. So where the problem may seam negative, the efficiency at which it was resolved highlighted how competent the staff at Jekyll Realty is! The only thing that disappointed me... I read a review that commented on their being bicycles in the carport area. While this is true, the bicycles were locked together and were not for our use. Thankfully bicycle rentals are plentiful on the island. If enjoying the many bicycle paths is important to you, be sure to bring yours or be prepared to rent one. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful stay. I can't wait to go back!

However, a lizard, who had obviously been there for some time as it was "crispy" was found in one of the bedroom out in the open. Also, one of the sofas in the sunroom was ragged, shedding and flaking and so out of character with the rest of the furniture. The couch does not need to be repaired - it needs to be thrown out. No way did we sit on it. Lastly, the outside of house needs pressure washing. There were so many cob webs and large wasp nests all around the house. Other than that, we were satisfied with rental.

Perfect Pandemic Get-away

Great location - easy beach access. Overall the house was clean and well-maintained. Wish the kitchen had been stocked with more plates & bowls for meals since we ate all meals in. Great experience with Jekyll Realty staff. Would stay here again.

Better than advertised

Very nice and large home. Walking distance to beach, bicycles available in garage (we rented mountain bikes before arriving.) Cycling and hiking trails close by with dedicated bike/walk paths. We will be back.

This place was super large and spacious. We had all kinds of room. I was more impressed with the interior that the exterior's first impression. We actually thought we were settling on this location, but we were greatly mistaken. We would love to revisit this home. Highly recommend and I actually have already referred friends.

The beds were good quality and comfortable. The kitchen was pretty new with very good stocking of plates, utensils, pots, pans, etc. The property is less than a 5 minute walk to beach access (via a wooden boardwalk over a rock jetty). The garage is good for storing rented bikes. Overall, a great place to stay.

Our family had a great stay at Grace Cottage! The sleeping arrangements were just perfect for us and there was plenty of seating in the living areas. It's a very flexible house and worked well for us.
