Réveillez-vous avec une vue sur l'océan

Situé dans Westbrook endormi, Ct et en face de Long Island Sound, cette maison de plage est spacieuse avec une cuisine complÚte, salle à manger et salon. Une cour arriÚre pour les enfants à jouer et les parents à barbecue est inclus avec un foyer et une vue sereine d'un marais avec Osprey nidification. Il y a une douche extérieure avec de l'eau froide et chaude pour laver le sable de la plage. Little Stannard Beach (à 100 mÚtres) est magnifique et privée pour seulement le voisinage immédiat.

De superbes bancs de sable et, à marée basse, une promenade pour explorer l'ßle de Salt est disponible. De nombreux excellents restaurants et activités estivales sont à proximité, y compris Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Seaport, The Essex Steam Train, une réserve ornithologique et les centres commerciaux Westbrook et Clinton. Little Stannard Beach borde le Water's Edge Resort and Spa's Beach.

Wonderful stay! Very comfortable for our family with ocean views. Very close to Waters Edge Resort. The beach house was warm even though it was December. Self check in was easy and plenty of parking for our family.

The heat was not sufficient and the bed I slept on was quite firm and the pillows lacked support even with 3. I guess once you hit middle age your ability to sleep in slightly more rustic conditions wanes. Le sigh

We really enjoyed our stay here—the place was just as listed, with a beautiful backyard view perfect for relaxing. The private beach was very close and peaceful, and the location made it easy to get around and access amenities. We stayed with our 8-month-old, and the very creaky floors and queen bed made it difficult to move around quietly, which was a challenge. We ended up sleeping in the bunk beds and giving her the room to herself. Overall, it was a lovely stay—if it had just been the two of us, we’d likely give it 5 stars, but with the baby those issues brought it down to 4.

Relaxing

Wonderfully close to the beach. We attended a wedding at the venue next door so very convenient. Great family time for the 5 of us, plenty of room. Enjoyed the backyard birds. The home has a lovely character!

Good Stay

Pros:- Great location. Right across from beach. Easy to access from I-95.- Comfortable couches.- Lots of beds.- Clean.- Nice dining room for family meals.- Very nice and responsive owners.Cons:- Dishwasher and freezer broke while we were there. Fixed by owner but presented inconveniences.- Ran out of hot water after two showers. And the shower upstairs got ice cold when anyone used the bathroom downstairs.- Loud, creaky floors.- Significant temperature difference between downstairs (cold) and upstairs (hot).

Wonderful visit

A beautiful home, nicely appointed, adjacent to a picturesque beach area. The hosts, Kiki and Robert, were quite warm and welcoming. They are extremely well organized and experienced hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to return one day.

A peaceful and quiet stay!

Tucked down a beautiful and quiet road this house sits right across the Sound and has easy access to what feels like a private beach. The house was very clean and well stocked. It felt like we were at home with ample sitting areas, good room layout and great views. The home owners were very responsive and friendly. We will definitely come back and stay longer next time!

The house was great, the private beach was a 1 min walk. The kids and I all had a great time and couldn't have asked for a better host.

The listing says “wake up to ocean view “ not accurate. The beds were so uncomfortable, 3 of us didn’t sleep well. When I was booking the house the owners were very accommodating however, We lost a couple things and the owners said they found things and then never followed up with me. Disappointed as it got 5 star reviews. We didn’t speak up to the owners and we should have.

Just what we wanted for a week's celebration at a New England beach house

Thoughtful and welcoming hosts, lovely spring weather in the beautiful green and blooming outdoor spaces, and a just-right home for our son's hectic graduation festivities. We made precious memories with all our young adult kids all in one house again. Walking to Salt Island at low tide was an awesome jellyfish adventure for our California crew. Even a week was not enough to do everything this home offers - we would have liked to have had time for a bonfire with marshmallows, too!

Cute classic beachside house

Robert and Kiki (and Cos) were right next door if we needed anything, beach was a walk down the road, quiet private road - a cozy stay for being close to family for Easter. Even located my daughter’s left behind items (which we only realized after we got home), much to her relief. Thank you for the hospitality!

Perfect beach house in great location

The warmest and most welcoming hosts, who have thought of every detail for guests. We stayed in March and the house is cozy and charming and comfortable. The beach right across the street--water views from both bedrooms--is absolutely magical. We made the best memories here.

Wonderful Hosts

We stayed from Dec 22 - 27th and had a great time at this property. The hosts were so kind and quick to respond to all messages. They even took the time to decorate the home with a Christmas tree and some extra holiday touches that really were above and beyond! We had zero extra room to bring these things with us and this was so thoughtful! The home is older, but it has been well kept and it was very clean. I am extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness. The floors do creak, because it’s an older home. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for our family of four. The kitchen was small, but it had plenty of supplies for cooking/serving meals. The beach is very close and it’s a nice beach with a picturesque view. Fortunately we had unseasonably warm weather and enjoyed some holiday photos on the beach! Westbrook and the entire shoreline has lots of dining options nearby within walking distance. We really enjoyed The Little Pub and Sal’s and a lobster roll from Lenny & Joe’s is always a must! Pasta Vita in Old Saybrook has some great take & bake options for a quick at home meal. We would most definitely stay here again!

Relax Right Here

Robert and kIKi are 5 star hosts! Their rental is clean, beautiful and spacious. It is located on a dead end street of several well cared for houses. The beach is a short walk away from the house and it borders with the Waters Edge Resort. At low tide you can walk out to a close by island or if you have children they can play on the sand bar.It's a private and lovely area and yet it's right off the main road with easy access to shopping and much more. We had a great vacation.

July 4th

The house is in a great location. Just a few steps from the beach. We were there for the 4th of July and you could see fireworks everywhere from the beach. We had a couple of issues that Kiki and Robert resolved quickly even though they were away. Definitely would stay again.

We are year round residents of Little Stannard Beach and have been for over 20 years. Our children grew up in this wonderful little neighborhood and we are happy to share it with others.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

With of a view of the Long Island sound as a benefit, there is also a large back yard to enjoy as well with a fire pit included. It is a great place for children to run around and play while you are grilling, without having to worry about their safety near the water. The beach is only 100 yards away though.

The uniqueness of Little Stannard Beach is that there is only one dead end street with access to the beach. Most beaches have many neighborhoods with acccess. It is not unusual to have only one or two families on this beach in the summer.
