Ceci est une belle maison de location de vacances situĂ©e sur un canal Ă  quelques minutes du golfe du Mexique. Profitez de la pĂȘche, du pĂ©toncle ou tout simplement vous dĂ©tendre sur la plage. Cette maison est situĂ©e Ă  Cedar Island, Ă  quelques minutes de la plage de Keaton et est spacieuse et juste ce que vous recherchez! Attachez votre bateau aprĂšs une journĂ©e de plaisir sur le golfe sur notre quai spacieux et cuisinez sous le porche sur le gril. Wouldn't stay here again

It was not cleaned before we arrived. Old baby bottle stuffed in the couch, house smelled like mold, roach was stuck to the floor when we arrived that appeared to have been there for days, hair in the bed sheets and the bathroom downstairs looked like a gas station bathroom. I called the host while still there and she responded quickly and was very apologetic, but in the end has done nothing to make things right. Offered to refund cleaning fee. Had to contact her twice after receiving no refund. Still no refund two months later even though she claimed to have mailed it. The dock is very dangerous because the floats under it are not located correctly. The worst dock on the canal and the picture of the dock is not even close to reality. There were soft spots in the 2nd foor deck that were bad enough a full size man could fall through. This was a group of guys staying and we all were very disappointed in the lack of cleanliness. The ac in 2 rooms sounded like a Harley cracking up when the compressor turned on. The good reviews they have received must be friends or family. Sorry i had to leave such a harsh review but it is a fair review.

Annual Scalloping Vacation

I would definitely stay here again. Host was very responsive with communication and very friendly. Hope was exactly what was expected and more. Plenty of room and very easy to navigate on the water to the home. Small channel but easily navigated with a 23 foot boat. I am easy to please so having a home on the water, a dock and cold air conditioning, we felt very relaxed. Thank you for allowing us to use your home!!

Cedar Island Rental

Its a great place to fish and hangout with friends and family. The house is in a very good spot with easy access to great fishing. We have a group of 6 grown men who get together for a fishing trip periodically and we plan to come back for sure! Thank you

Not as advertised

The location is great but the facility is not well kept. Upon arrival there was a very strong mold oder. One of the upper bedrooms had black mold coming through the ceiling. We called the owner and she responded. After a couple of days of AC it subsided to a tolerable point. Looking for a different place for next year.

Comfortable and convenient

Perfect fishing getaway, used the dark Island ramp to stay away from the crowd. Docked my 23 ft boat with no issues at the dock. Pay attention to the pvc pipes in the back channel, small orange one in particular (right of it on the way out,left of it on the way in) its the first one leaving the house you see in the channel . Just ease out on idle. Only thing was there was no propane for the grill . (Idk if someone helped themselves to it was right after the hurricane) but we bought charcoal for the webber that was there instead of another tank. Great time , walmart isn't to far in perry, and keaton Beach bums has a little bit of everything.

Had a wonderful time there with it family, great place to stay. Please note the canal is shallow, we didn't have any problems in our bay boat

Safety and cleanliness not found here

No wifi upon arrival. Had to drive 8 miles just to get cell service on t mobile. Landlord told us to just use hot spots. We told her you can't do that if no cell service for miles. No response. Had 2 front sliding glass doors. One barely able to close at all due to corrosion. The other had a broken frame and glass coming out. Unable to lock or secure. You could just stick your hand inside through the door. Had ant infestation and issue with cockroaches. Bats coming out of laundry room at night... Dirty and broken furniture. No one should ever rent a place that has no wifi, cell service and broken front door (safety nightmare). Shame as has potential with nice canal and easy access to gulf.

Spring break vacation

Very spacious, enjoyed the view, and enjoyed our stay., The only thing I would like to add is in the master bedroom on bottom floor, it needs a dresser, there is no place to put your clothes.

Nice stay

Had a good week! Keep eye on tides, our 24ft boat barely made it at low tide but didn’t stop us from enjoying our trip. Successful scalloping trip!
