The Terrace at Pelican Beach Resort, is a luxury high rise in the Heart of Destin. It is located on the same property as Pelican Beach Resort, directly across from the Big Kahuna Water Theme Park. The building is set back from the beach about 250 yards, but there is no street to cross. It is part of a great resort with fantastic amenities. The Terrace at Pelican Beach Resort Building enjoys all the fantastic amenities the building itself offers but also unencumbered access to all of the Pelican Beach Resort amenities.

INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Great Condo in Destin!

The condo was perfect for my husband and our teenage daughter and her friend. My favorite part was the incredible view and balcony. The beach was close and it has a beach walkway that took about 5-7 minutes to walk. It’s centrally located and was very clean and easy check in and out. We would stay there again.

Great place to stay!

We enjoyed our visit. We were there to visit my son in the Air Force. The condo was clean and comfortable. The view is beautiful. My only suggestion would be, is to let the guests know in the email to go to the main building to check in. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us we loved it.

Clean & convenient

In a great location with restaurants & shops all within a short 5 to 10 minute drive. The walk to the beach is super easy & short. The condo itself was very clean & just like the description. I would recommend this unit for a small group!

Home away from home

Stunning view & beautiful condo

We had an amazing vacation and loved the property. Condo was clean and beautifully furnished with a stunning view. Plenty of parking and elevators were speedy. Nice little gym area & enjoyed the semi private hot tub in the evenings before settling in for the night. We could see the firework display from the Boardwalk perfect from our balcony. We will definitely vacation here again.

Wonderful location

We loved everything about the location. Friendly people. Shops and restaurants close by. Unfortunately the bed in our unit was horrible!! Waking each morning with back and other body pain for a month is certainly not expected considering the price we paid. The pain limited us from doing other activities on many days.

Lovely Condo with Great View and 5 Beds

Lovely, updated condo with fabulous views. It’s rare to find a two bedroom place that actually has a bed for each of the 5 of us. Easy stroll to the beach and if you are loaded down with gear the resort golf cart will drive you. The kitchen has many conveniences..coffee maker, toaster, pans the only kitchen items not available were baking sheets, mixing/salad bowls and a blender. That certainly didn’t slow down the good times though. Thanks for the great vacation!!

Great Location

Really enjoyed the stay in your condo. Really nice location for access to the best of Destin. Convenient to the harbor area/central Destin and areas to the East (Destin Commons). Short walk to the beach was great. Used the pool and hot tub, really nice and not crowded. Well appointed, had everything we needed for our stay. Enjoyed the couches. Great views of the lagoon and gulf to the southwest, very comfortable and quiet. Only issues we had were at check in..we were directed to the wrong 'tower' and couldn't get into unit...finally realized we were sent to the wrong place and all worked well. Had difficulties with elevators for the first day...management was on top of it though and had the issues resolved fairly quickly. Would definitely recommend for families looking for easy access to the beach, Destin Harbor and Big Kahuna's.

nice view but needs a good ckean

nice location and good view but condo needs a good cleaning. floor was sandy and dirty. when I walked around barefoot the bottom of my feet turned black. while preheating oven, smoke alarm went off due to dirty oven. some dishes in cabinet needed to be washed before use. fan in 2nd bedroom was filthy. I had go take it apart and clean it myself, so it would blow cool air. didnt like the fact that I had to strip beds, load and run dishwasher and take out trash before check out.

Birthday Getaway!

10-15-2020 - 10-18-2020 The photos listed is exactly what you walk into. I booked the home for my wife birthday and she loved it as soon as the door opened. We arrived at the location after 5pm (7 hour drive) went to the Pelican to check-in as advertised. Signed one paper (front & back) which was the rules of the property, received 2 armbands that you must wear while on property (if you loose it the replacement is $25 a piece, if you cut off before bed bring it back to the front desk the next morning and they'll replace it for free, but you must and I repeat you must have the old armbands on hand) and parking pass. The beach access is a short walk (right behind the Pelican) You can use the pools at both properties and weight rooms. The view from the master bedroom and living room was amazing, they overlooked the pool area, the beach in the distance and the man made lake with walkover access. We didn't have many questions and had zero issues with the property, but the response time from the Owner was top notch and it was a matter of minutes if not seconds. AC unit blew like a winter storm but some days we didn't need it because of the cool nights & mornings. The TV's in the master bedroom & living room are easy to use (if you have cable at home it's pretty much used the same way) We didn't use the 3rd TV. It has a nice big refrigerator, toaster (didn't use), microwave (didn't use), dishwasher (didn't use), coffee pot (didn't use). The house was very clean and well kept (when your from a family of medical professions and married to one you keep your gear ready at all times, no knock to the cleaning crew because they did a hell of a job on the cleaning and you can tell it was clean. We cleaned the house, washed the bedding and towels again before we settled in. The owner has broom, mop & vacuum in the home) We didn't utilize the 2nd bedroom so we kept the door closed the whole time, we didn't utilize dishes because we travel with paper plates, cups & plastic utensils. The property is not far from entertainment, stores or restaurants. Don't forget to utilize the 1 daily free pass for activities through xplorie (not unit/1 person) you can do airborne adventures, fishing adventures, dolphin cruise, snorkeling, water park (some of the things are seasonal). Once again Thank-you to the Owner for opening your beautiful home up to us we will definitely be back.

Disappointed

When we arrived we were told to go to the building in front to check in. The lady that checked us in told us we were in that building & to use elevators around the corner to go up to the 10th floor. After 1.5 hours of not being able to get in our room & several phone calls later the rental company realized we were not in the right building. So frustrating especially when you have 2 kids dying to get to the beach after being in the car for 12 hours. Of course the front desk don't care they told you wrong cause you booked through a 3rd party. They won't help you with anything. Finally we get to our room to see it doesn't look like the pictures & is filthy dirty. The pictures online are definitely from when it was brand new & of course they're very filtered by a photographer. The positive is the view is beautiful. Had to text & complain about the room being dirty. They did send someone out to clean but again another set back & inconvenience. There was no way she had the time to clean what all needed done but she did make it a little better. Thankfully we brought our own cleaning supplies to make it suitable for our stay. It needs a major deep cleaning. If your planning on cooking & eating in the condo you will be disappointed with what's supplied. Another big disappointment was the beach area. If your not renting their umbrellas & chairs (which are outrageous) you can't even see the water because they line up several rows of the umbrellas & chairs blocking the beach view, which is the main reason most people come to Destin. So you have to make a spot in the back behind all that not even able to see the water. We won't stay here again.

Great location

The Condo was as described. Location and beach was in close proximity. Pool was nice. Decor was nice. The view was amazing. We got to relax which was greatly needed. Ocean water was blue and sand was white. Master bedroom mattress could be updated. Master bedroom sink was clogged up could use it. There is no pantry so you have to store your groceries for a whole week on counters or make room in cabinets. The condo could have been cleaned better lots of sand everywhere. Had the cleaning people cleaned the condo they would have noticed the sink was in need of attention. Would stay again hopefully above issue are corrected.

Good property as advertised

Nice location and a great property considering we booked the week before arriving. The online photos were an accurate depiction of the unit and proximity to the beach. Check in and communication with property manager could not have been easier. One suggestion to the broader property group, not specific to this unit, is if you expect wristbands to be the security mechanism of choice make them the plastic type that can actually be used for a week versus a paper version that you would expect for a one day music festival entry.

Lots of surprises!

The condo was absolutely fine, no complaints there at all! It was everything it was advertised to be and very well decorated and comfy!! The sofa and loveseat are so awesome and the king bed was great as well!! Only improvement needed would be some new pans for the kitchen...the ones here are old and awful. Another suggestion would be instructions on how all the tv’s work....it took us a week to figure out the one in the bedroom wasn’t broken after all, lol! In fact, we were supposed to be here for a month. Turns out we happened to see a notice posted in the elevator stating that they were going to be refinishing all the exterior floors. All occupants would need to vacate during the time it takes for the floors to cure which is SIX DAYS and all elevators would be shut down during that period of time. (They were doing three floors at a time.) We were NEVER informed of this by our management company and HAD we been told, we would not have moved in here to begin with, only to have to pack up and move out again during the middle of our stay.....Very poor communication..... We would not come back to Destin until all of the construction is done on Hwy 98 which runs directly in front of the property. We love to walk but it is dangerous and not easy trying to cross that street plus it is very noisy! Traffic is bad.....and this is the quiet time of the year here so I can’t imagine what it must be like in the summer! All in all, an ok stay. This condo, the views and the beach all top notch!!

Nice condo in Destin

Very nice 2 BR / 2 BA condo in Destin. 10th floor, great view. Price was reasonable. The pool area was very nice! Easy walk to the beach.
