Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: unit not cleaned very well, items of clothing still in different location of rooms, floor left feet black, several cockroaches. (Terminix notice was in elevator and end of stay).. Elevator not reliable will live you stuck inside.. There is a huge draft at entrance that sounds like a tornando is coming thru at all times. Refergator shelves broken and leaked water all over floor (Maintenance notified & came he was very friendly) There was a wedding on Wed and we were told we had to leave beach area by 3 pm and was unable to use the pavilion it was in use also. Unprofessional without thought of other guest staying at complex...Property management we will use again but wont be staying at Summerhouse 0202

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The summer house condo was terrible. We arrived with the host that's checking us in that the elevator is out. I asked how long she wasn't sure. So, I contacted the Emerald Coast Destinations about the issue. Their response was talk to the manager there. First me about the elevator being replaced.2nd they should have asked if i would like to be in the other building or another Emerald Coast Destinations. So with that being said nothing was offered. We actually left 3 days early cause my hips couldn't handle up and down the steps. Over all was terrible experience

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Summerhouse was a nice place. Thankfully we were the 2nd floor due to the elevators working on and off. Everyday during some point they wouldn’t work for a few hours. The view from the room was fantastic of the beach and the pool. The free beach service was nice. The room wasn’t bad but for the price I feel could have been better. The room really needs a humidifier, right when you walk in the smell reminded me of a basement or home that has been shut up for a while. I think a humidifier would make all the difference for the smell. Kitchen was nice and clean but appliances could use updating. Air fryer was very convenient to have so we never needed the oven. I did go buy a blender from Walmart to make the kids slushies since the room didn’t have one available. The couches could use a good deep cleaning. The light blue one had brown stains on it and looked gross. I used blankets to make a makeshift couch cover during our stay. We had to call for maintenance our first day due to the main toilet not flushing and the master shower not draining properly. I do have to say the issue was handled within a few hours and fixed, which was nice. Communication was good and easy via text. Beds didn’t sleep the best but not horrible. Good restaurants nearby and close to shopping and entertainment. Summerhouse amenities are so-so. A small arcade and 2 pool tables for the kids but doesn’t offer a restaurant/snack bar or bar area onsite. They did have snacks for sale at the front desk like chips/pretzels/ice cream. Overall not disappointed but not likely to rent this room again.

Reviewer Comments: I’ll start with the positives - Check-in was very easy, the beach is nice & the complex itself is very family friendly. Now the actual condo - The night we arrived, the beds were not completely made & there was sand in the guest room sheets. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets & silverware drawers. The dish washer does not wash properly- the bottom filter/screen of the dish washer was moldy & black. The refrigerator bottom filled with water & leaked all of the floor for hours before we figured out where it was coming from. The master bath tub walls & ceilings had mold, as did the shower curtain. The AC filter was so dirty we had to replace it b/c the condo would not cool below 72 degrees. The master tub would not drain- I had to dig out a huge clod of hair to clear it out. The hall bathroom - the toilet has trouble flushing properly, the shower head was black & the shower wall had black stains all over it. I reported this all of this and received NO response. Definitely will never stay here in this condo again. I definitely would never recommend this place. If I could post pictures I would.

Great family place

My family rented this condo for a week. The location was great. It was a short walk to the beach, which made it easy to setup everyday. The complex has multiple spray off areas coming from the beach. The condo itself was perfect for 5 people. Plenty of room. Being on the second floor was very convenient because the elevator can get backed up. We had a great time! I would definitely stay again.

Wonderful condo in a great location!

This condo was exactly as described, and perfect for our family of four! We had a minor issue with the A/C unit freezing up, but maintenance resolved the issue very quickly. We hope to stay at this property on future trips to PCB!

We really enjoyed our stay. The only bummer was the elevator was broken the entire week we were there. Stairs were a little difficult with a 5 year old. Other than that, it was great!

First time at this condo, but hopefully not the last!

This is a wonderful property. The Condo was clean, cute beachy decorated, description was spot on, pics were accurate!! Pools are very nice. Ocean front view! Beach chairs included was great!! Location on East end of PCB is great! Upon arrival, air was set on 72 but was 77. We gave it a day & it never cooled off, so called the main # given at reservation & they sent an air guy within 1 hr.. Fixed!!!!! We were Blessed with perfect weather, .. I highly recommend !!

Upgrade overdue

Washing machine finally died . Found slice of pizza under couch. One kitchen chair was in the closet broken in pieces when we arrived. Toilet wouldn’t flush very well. Front door hitting frame , had to slam it closed. Now I wasn’t going to say anything but you asked

Summerhouse Condo Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our unit was number 202A but it was really on the 3rd floor as the first floor is office/admin area. The condo wasn't ready at 4pm (check in time) we got the condo at 5:10pm which made for a long day - I think check in time for the amount you pay in peak season is a bit late. Check out was 9am, also a little early. The condo itself was cute and colorful - very beachy atmosphere. The queen bed (in the master) was very comfortable. There were only 2 in our party. I highly suggest travelers bring toilet paper, paper towels, bath soap, dish soap, and laundry detergent and countertop cleaner as very little is provided, if any. The TV in the living room was okay but the two bedroom TV's wouldn't work. Maybe we just didn't know how to use the Roku because it was all Roku and apps - no local news or anything. The condo complex is great with great pools, great beach area and some entertainment through the week. The location is exceptional. We would definitely stay here again.

Review of Emerald Coast destinations Summerhouse 202A, PCB

We have stayed multiple years in the Summerhouse. We love its location, its pools and its layout. This condo was so cute & colorful with its beach decorations. However it had multiple problems. To begin with, the elevator was not working for the majority of our stay. This meant that upon arrival we had no way to get ourselves, our luggage or supplies up to the condo except by 3 flights of stairs (condo is on second floor, but there is a ground floor). Other problems were: the tub did not drain well; one commode was continually slow to flush; there was a leak under the kitchen sink; there were open electrical outlets in the bedroom; the sliding glass door to the porch was not working properly & almost impossible to open; the linens were of the cheapest quality, pillowcases were not provided for all the pillows; no hand towels & only one dish cloth/towel were provided; the kitchen was well stocked in some items such as plates, glassware, pots & pans, but other items were lacking - there were only five forks, one teaspoon, & four tablespoons (for a condo which sleeps 6!!). Emerald Coast Destinations, the VRBO host for this condo was absolutely the WORST; I will NEVER rent from them again. Their customer support agent was rude, offensive and grossly unhelpful. The only redeeming Emerald Coast employees were Dalton, the very nice & pleasant maintenance man who came & carried all our luggage up (but he was dispatched only after we started talking about the ADA) & the cleaners
