Wonderful house with all the amenities. Large bedrooms with comfy bed and nice linens. Rhode was gracious enough to allow us to have some members of our party arrive a bit early for check in. We also left a bit late. We had a minor issue with some plumbing and it was addressed and fixed within hours! The kitchen had everything needed to cook. We did breakfasts at home and dinners in town. We had two cars and there was plenty of room to park. It was a rainy weekend so we did not walk to downtown, but it could have been done in about twenty minutes of leisure walking. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The host was prompt to respond and professional. The house is appointed with comfy linens, like new appliances and is located in a convenient spot for shopping, hiking, restaurants, etc. We stayed for a girls trip of high school/ life-long friends. We felt safe & were extremely comfortable. Thank you!!
I highly recommend a stay at Lavinia House while visiting Greenville. We were in town to celebrate our daughterâs wedding so there wewas a lot of running around to be done. The house is very conveniently located. The house is so charming and feels like a home away from home. Rhode is an exceptional host, communicates with his guests and clearly wants to make your stay an enjoyable experience.
The house was wonderful! It was so immaculately clean. It really was lovely. We did have an issue with the lavender bedroom that the air conditioner did not work. This did cause for some discomfort. There were not enough washcloths for everyone. As we were a group of older ladies, it would have been nice to have curtains or blinds covering the doors.
The house is comfortable and beautifully decorated, ideal for gatherings. The living area and kitchen/dining room are very spacious. There is a steep stairway leading to the 2nd floor bedrooms which could be an issue if you have mobility issues. The rest of the house is easily accessible. Everything was very clean and tasteful. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Greenville.
Your hosts Mark and Rhode fell in love and dated in NYC. We started our married journey in NJ. We have two daughters, a son and a grandson. We enjoy traveling and have spent a year in Den Haag, the Netherlands were we had the chance to tour Europe. Mark's work has taken him abroad to Russia, Malaysia, South Korea, China and Uzbekistan. Our love for travelling has taken us to many beautiful places in the world. Rhode was born and raised in the Dominican Republic making her bilingual Spanish and English. She has the gift of hospitality and is very passionate about it.
We were attracted to this historic bungalow in downtown because of its location and charm. The front porch is inviting and the Bon Secour arena. can be seen a short block away. The dining room gets lots of natural light from the great bowed side windows and the large front window. The kitchen is spacious and open to the dining room making it a very nice place to gather. The living room provides another amazing space with a charming and bright reading alcove. The whole house has been tastefully decorated with every bedroom having a theme. Much love and time has been poured into the renovation, decorations and equipping of our Lavinia house. We trust our guests will enjoy all the loving touches added.
