Top Of The Rock se trouve au-dessus des pistes de ski de App Ski Mtn, à quelques pas de là où les télésièges se sont déchaînés! Situé à seulement 5 km du centre-ville de Blowing Rock et à environ 8 km de Boone, Top Of The Rock est pratique pour tout ce que le High Country a à offrir! App Ski Mountain est à moins d'1,6 km et Tweetsie Railroad est à seulement 3 km. La ville de Banner Elk, et sa montagne Grandfather à proximité, la station de ski Sugar Mtn, Ski Beech, Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zip Lines, et Linville Falls & Caverns sont tous entre 15 et 28 miles.

Le niveau principal offre une grande salle ouverte avec salle à manger et cuisine mise à jour. Cheminée à gaz et TVHD serre-livres un mur de fenêtres qui donnent sur le pont arrière et vue sur les montagnes en couches! La King Master Suite avec salle de bain privée complète et TVHD; ainsi qu'une deuxième chambre King avec vue à longue portée, foyer électrique et TVHD sont toutes deux au niveau principal. Une deuxième salle de bain complète dans le couloir complète le niveau principal.

Au rez-de-chaussée dispose d'une immense chambre avec lits superposés avec 4 lits jumeaux (2 lits superposés supérieurs et 2 lits superposés inférieurs), ainsi qu'une cheminée et une télévision HD. En bas se trouve également une tanière avec un canapé-lit Queen, une cheminée et un téléviseur HD. Le placard à proximité propose un lit pliant pour des options de couchage supplémentaires. Une salle de bain complète hors de la tanière sert la chambre avec lits superposés ainsi que les options de couchage supplémentaires Queen et Twin. Il y a une petite salle de jeux avec table de baby-foot et foyer au rez-de-chaussée, ainsi qu'une buanderie avec laveuse et sécheuse. Le bain à remous se trouve sur le pont de niveau inférieur, qui a des escaliers qui sortent dans la cour arrière roulante et bien entretenue

Toutes les 3 chambres, ainsi que la grande salle et le Den disposent de téléviseurs HD avec programmation par câble. Internet WiFi, chauffage central et climatisation et plusieurs foyers au gaz et électriques font de Top Of The Rock un chalet de vacances amusant et familial!

Enjoyable

We went with some friends and all our kids and had a great time! Only down side - it’s 32 minutes to Sugar Mountain and on a very steep hill so if it’s snowy make sure you have AWD or snow tires!

We love the location, and the house layout and amenities were perfect, but the overall maintenance and condition of the exterior finishes and furnishings need updating.Also, the rear view, as advertised, was substantially reduced due to overgrown trees at the rear yard, very disappointing.

too far for us from Sugar

Nice place a bit shabby with low end products and supplies but workable. BBQ is rusted and on its last legs and pots and pans are all non stick and in bad shape but again functional. Host responded to questions in reasonable amount of time but solutions were hit and miss. 2 fireplaces were not functional at lest by the simple instructions they gave. Hot tub went into sleep mode after first day and was un walkable rendering it too cold to use after first day which was half the reason we chose the place. All supplies were the lowest quality possible such as 1 ply toilet and paper towels etc and if you run out too bad they include few or no spares to anything. VRBO listed Sugar mountain as something like 6 miles away but it was 18 plus which took 30 mins each day which was too much and we choose it based on that estimate. Also the hot tub was a huge disappointment as we could not get it to work again. On the good side it was quiet and private and peaceful which was nice.

Very disappointing stay

What should have been a relaxing and stress free visit, turned out to be everything but. Overall a very disappointing stay. We confirmed that the hot tub was fully operational and cleaned prior to our stay, only to find out that the pumps were inoperable and the water smelled terrible and water was very cloudy. After multiple attempts to contact the rental property company, maintenance confirmed the above mentioned issues on the second night of our stay. We had to throw away food due to a significant ant problem in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. The carbon monoxide detector was beeping and had to be replaced on the second day of the trip. The downstairs “Smart” TV only allowed for cable, but no Apps (Netflix, etc) for kids to watch movies due to missing TV remote. Maintenance crew attempted to fix via universal remote, but no such luck. The rental company’s lack of service and communication was the worst part of the stay. I feel badly for the property owners, as I would not stay at this property again and will not rent again with Carolina Cabin Rentals.

We are going to be coming back to this place as soon as we can. Covid had an impact on our trip and we just can’t wait to get back to the mountains. The property management company was quick to reply.

When we booked this we thought it was in Seven Devils but it was in Blowing Rick. So our guests had a drive to meet up witb us everyday ay.

Great location and wonderful views. Very convenient to Blowing Rock, and Boone, too. The hot tub was fun and the property was lovely, as advertised. We would definitely love to come back.

Family Trip

We were very happy with the house. It had plenty of space, good amount of seating, televisions in each bedroom and living rooms and the kitchen had everything we needed and then some. Was a short drive to the shops & restaurants of Blowing Rock. There were a few steep, hair pin turns to get up to the house but we had no problem with our truck and it was summertime anyway. Would also be great for a larger group.

Just what we needed!

Enjoyed our stay - all the amenities we needed! Only thing to note is that the listing in VRBO defaults to a different location. It was still convenient to ski resorts, just not where we expected. Definitely recommend this property and would stay there again!

Perfect getaway!

This property is the perfect property for my family. My kids like the bunk beds, foosball table, hot tub, and the yard space to play in the snow. My requirements are a gorgeous view and comfortable beds. Check! We had a great couple of days, went tubing, and had the perfect amount of snow. As suggested...definitely a 4 wheel drive in winter months! We will definitely be back to enjoy this property again.

Fantastic Location!

We loved our stay on top of Blowing Rock. The view was breath taking. We were away from town, but close enough to do some shopping and skiing. Would recommend this house to anyone traveling to this beautiful town.

Wonderful experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Top of the Rock. Great view. The cottage is charming. The service from the rental company is beyond excellent. The toaster was broken when we tried to make toast the first morning. A small thing, but a disappointing thing for three people who always have coffee and toast in the morning. By the time we got back from our day trip, a new toaster had been delivered! Thank you to everyone who made our visit perfect.

Incredible views and close to both Blowing Rock and Boone. The house was immaculate and decorated in the rustic mountain theme which was perfect. Sleeping arrangements is great for 2 couples with kids. Driveway was recently widened so disregard any previous negative comments on that subject. Will definitely rent this property again on our next visit.

Limited parking - large pile of stone in the driveway further limiting - we were ok with 3 vehicles. Beyond that, absolutely loved the place... the woodwork was beautiful. There was plenty in the kitchen. The views were beautiful and the hot tub was a wonderful touch. Thank you for sharing with us.

Views are the selling point for this property. Bright and sunny main floor. Much smaller than pictures depict. Beds overly soft, uncomfortable for us. Frankly, need to be replaced. No hangers in closets, which we had to buy. One bathroom, of 2 on main floor very tiny. Copper bathroom sinks found very stained and had to be scrubbed to make feel usable. Kitchen adequately equipped. Lower level dark, damp and musty. Hot tub was noisy and disturbing when not in use. Careful of tree sap if you park under tree in driveway, very difficult to remove. Neighbor's dogs barking was annoying.
