Cette maison familiale a Ă©tĂ© construite en 2001. SituĂ© dans un dĂ©veloppement rĂ©sidentiel calme, la maison est sur Long Island Sound avec une vue pittoresque sur la maison Orient Point Light. Il est Ă  distance de marche de l'Orient Point Ferry. AprĂšs le coucher de soleil spectaculaire, le ferry glissera silencieusement sur l'eau sombre offrant un bel affichage des lumiĂšres. Nice Waterfront House but with some wear + tear

We enjoyed our week at Susan's house on Orient Point. The house is located right on the LI Sound, with its own little strip of beach out front. It is a quiet and relaxing spot. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we cooked in for most of our meals. Also, Susan was responsive to a few of issues that came up. That said, the house seems to perhaps be in need of some TLC. Some screen doors were damaged/missing, and some moldings were loose/fallen off. Although it is a personal aesthetic, we found the furniture to be a bit outdated. And as the pictures accurately show, the house is quite tchotchke-laden. The beach in front is very rocky and strewn with boulders and washed-up trees. Definitely worth bringing rubber shoes for walking and swimming. Also, being out at Orient Point, Greenport and Southold are a bit of a ride. So, you need to plan your grocery shopping/dining excursions accordingly. Overall, a lovely stay. But some may feel the house is a tad "rustic", especially considering the price.

Quiet retreat!

Our stay was for a large family gathering of 10 people. Home was clean. There were ample beds, bathrooms, towels and other supplies that you don’t normally see at other properties. The large kitchen was amazingly well equipped which made cooking together great! The large screened-in porch was the perfect use for inclement weather, bug free atmosphere and enjoying the beauty all around us. Parking 6-7 cars fit with ease in the U-shaped driveway. The host readily responded to questions/concerns. Our stay could not have been more perfect! Thank you Susan!

Super relaxing break on the beach

Enjoyed our stay. Lots of space and right in beach and easy drive to Greenport, etc. Great for looking out onto water and reading books, walking, fishing. Etc.

Beautiful Orient Point

The location of this beautiful home is superb. From sunrise to sunset and everything in between provides for the best of times.

Amazing views!

Lovely property with plenty of space and an exceptionally well stocked kitchen - there were plenty of dishes. utensils, and every gadget you can imagine including a fantastic Viking stove. Amazing bathrooms. The beach although rocky was great and watching the ferry come and go was fun. The couches in the living room could use a facelift as the pillows were well used and the blue bedroom could use a new bed but the other 4 bedrooms were perfect. Other than those two items the house was wonderful and we all felt very comfortable. Would highly recommend this home for a family that is looking for a relaxing vacation. Also the owner was very responsive to e-mails.

Lovely House and great location

Panoramic view of LI Sound. Great Kitchen. Bathrooms are nicely done. I had a great family vacation with adults and 4 kids aged 2.5 - 6.

Orient point

We stayed at this great family house on Orient Point for a month. The house easily accommodated our extended family of 6-10 although the fifth bedroom is for kids. Because of the pandemic, the locals restricted beach access but the house is right on the Sound. Although this beach is rocky, it sufficed for us. The house is beautifully situated with calming water views throughout. The house itself is nicely laid out with a fantastic kitchen. The neighborhood is quiet and immediately adjoins a park. We love the North Fork and are appreciative of the small scale but this area is a world away from the activity of the Hamptons or Montauk. The owner was responsive before and during our stay. All positives.

Wonderful and relaxing

Best location, almost at tip of Orient Point and right on the water with a private, rocky beach. The house is spacious with a wonderful screened porch with a fantastic view. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Never wanted to leave!

Wonderful

Stayed here for a family gathering over Thanksgiving 2019. The owner was considerate, very helpful and quick to answer any questions. The home was spotless, well laid out, equipped with all amenities and beautifully decorated. Perfect for multiple couples. Right on the water, the view is superb. The large, fully equipped gourmet kitchen ended up being a gathering place as we all helped with the cooking. Walking distance to the ferry and to the adjacent county and state parks. We have rented homes all over the world and could not have been more pleased with this property. Highly recommended.

We were a group of nine..five adults and four teenagers. The house was a great size and layout for our group. Easy access to the ferry, marina and restaurant were bonuses for sure! Not sure there could be a better spot for relaxing.

Ladies Weekend Away

An enormous thank you to Susan for inviting us into her warm and comfortable home for a “Ladies Weekend Away”. Despite the weather not cooperating with warm sunny days, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves both in large groups (11 at the dining table for meals) or escaping alone to a quiet nook upstairs. It was close enough to enjoy local areas such as Greensport and the many vineyards, but secluded enough for a true escape. The house was well appointed and Susan was a gracious hostess and extremely accommodating. The views were brilliant and the sound of the waves were exactly what we needed. We intend on returning. Thank you again!

Picturesque vintage coastal getaway

The house is located in a beautiful area of Orient, quite private with a warm vibe and beach access right outside, it met all our criteria for a perfect beach vacation. House was sparkling clean and ready when we arrived. Location of the property is amazing, Its right on the beach. The views, stroll on the beach, the sound of the waves and the cool breeze is something which we recollect all the time. House is so tastefully designed and crafted with things that depict the true idea of a perfect coastal getaway. Beautiful, contemporary and comfortable furnishing in every room. Really smart use of space. Very family friendly house in a beautiful environment. Every comfort needed is in place. Numerous child games/ toys and a fully equipped kitchen. Fully stocked with all sorts of amenities from the kitchen. Lots of comfy beds, a big, beautiful common space opening to the beach access to share meals and lounge around in This house will offer you a completely relaxing and beautiful time in Orient. Susan is an amazing host too. She is easy to communicate, and she responds to your question almost always within seconds. Thank you very much, Susan! We had an awesome time in the Orient!
