We had an amazing time at Pono Kai Resort in this condo!! Clean, comfortable, beautiful location and perfect for families with kids!

One thing that really attracted us to Pono Kai was the location in Kapaa (close to shops & restaurants) and how kid-friendly the resort is. Our two children love all of the activities on-site (i.e. putting green, croquet, giant chess board, etc).

Just wonderful!! Beautiful condo, super close to everything. Jared - the host is super accommodating- helped us out big time on the day of the departure. We will be back - recommended.

We were already staying in this resort with friends in another resort managed unit and extended our stay a few days more in Jared's unit. Place was clean and well equipped. Since this is a privatly owned unit, they had beach equipment in the closet so no need to rent and the kitchen was better equipped than the other unit. When I had problems with the toaster, he had another one immediately delivered. It's an older resort so like other units, the bedroom doesn't have AC but was ok with the fan running and AC on on the main living area. TVs had some issues and remotes were very wonky to use but that's a resort managed item and they're supposed to upgrade that equipment soon. As far as the resort, it's older but in a good location and well maintained. Walk to downtown Ka'apa and is adjacent to the ocean but not really much of a beach right there. Very nice, very long walking trail along the ocean. Pool and hot tub are fine but pool could use more chairs and umbrellas. There is a shop on site to book activities and rent gear.

We really try to think of those little things (chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, etc) that are hard to plan for when visiting the island.

We might be biased but we think Pono Kai is the best location on the island..... easy & quick access to the West, South, and North with the proximity of downtown Kapa'a and its charming shops & restaurants.

Proximity to old Kapaa town is great, a lot of walk ability to stores, restaurants, etc. Property was exactly as pictured. Great communication with owner. It was nice to have things like assorted spices, cooler, beach towels, etc available!

This condo is very nice, looks exactly like the pictures and the host was very responsive. The front desk people were helpful and the grounds we beautiful. The pool was under construction when were were there so that was a bit of a bummer but overall, great location.

Fabulous location and great accommodations

Walkable to the village and shopping. Clean and well stocked with beach necessities. Grounds lovely and access to ocean superb.

Love that you were able to utilize the amenities at Pono Kai and the extras we provide. There is a ton of stuff to do around the resort and with downtown Kapa'a so close it makes for easy walking to great food & shopping.

Great stay

We enjoyed the access to shopping, restaurants, beach, bike path. The resort itself had tons of activities and a nice pool. The ground level entry was super convenient.

Having a ground floor unit is one of our fav things about the condo. It's so nice that we can easily watch our kids play outside from the comfort of our couch. We also love all of the activities/amenities that Pono Kai Resort has available -- tennis, croquet, land chess, putting green, etc...
