We truly enjoyed our time at the Riverhouse. Diane is the BEST! When we arrived the house was cool, clean, and smelled fabulous. Everything we needed (except food) was there. We spent every evening on the dock and watched the otters swim. I loved setting on the porch where it was quiet and peaceful. The only draw back was we ride Goldwing trikes that set low to the ground and the private road to the house was rocky but we learned to maneuver around the rough spots no problem.

It was a wonderful stay!

We have a busy life and we were so happy to have had a wonderful, quiet, restful stay! The scenery was beautiful and it was so nice to have met Diane, who when we ask for anything to make our stay more comfortable, she was very accommodating. We would definitely stay there again and are planning to this fall!
This is in the back patio where you can see the river and your own dock where you can fish! Beautiful scenery!

Mini vacation

Had a great time as always, the Hostess is the best and most accommodating!! The house is well equipped with everything you need for cooking and if you accidentally leave your shampoo at home this was our second time to go there and we will definitely be back

Beautiful riverhouse

The Riverhouse was clean and had all the comforts of home! This area is beautiful and we enjoyed fishing and viewing the fall foliage so much! Loved the screened in porch and having our own dock to use. Looking forward to coming back soon! Thanks Diane!

We stayed here two years ago and couldn’t wait to return. Calico Rock is incredibly peaceful and the house has all the comforts of home. We look forward to patiently waiting for the beaver or river otters to make their appearance morning and evening. Our host communicates so well and is incredibly kind.

Great cabin on the river

The hostess and I really connected. She thought of everything you might need. A bag of ice in the freezer and fresh flowers! The little things make a difference. The cabin is adorable and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

This was our 2nd stay at the Riverhouse, and we loved it again! Diane is the nicest person to work with, and the house has all you need for a comfortable getaway. The river is the star, though - such a beautiful spot! Hoping to come back again.

Fantastic getaway

We came here on family vacation and had a wonderful time. The cabin had everything you could think of, you just need food. Diane was a great hostess, checked in on us several times to make sure we had what we needed and suggested local attractions. Fishing off the dock wasn’t great, but we think it was just too hot, upper 90’s the whole week. My son did catch 2 trout one night. Very quiet getaway and just what this family needed!!! 5 stars all around!

White River House

Perfect little spot. Quiet, beautiful view of the river. Lots of hiking and biking close by - as well as fishing. Great brewery up the road making killer pizzas!

Great host

Loved the host, the luxurious bath towels and bedding, the super stocked kitchen, the beautiful deck, the clean house, and time spent with family. Some things in the house really need attention-kitchen cabinets, shower heads that wouldn't adjust, and aerators on all the sinks.

The property and location was exceeded expectations.

We had the most amazing experience. If you are looking for peace and quiet with excitement fishing this place is for you. Diane and local community were friendliest as can be. After a great day of fishing would go down to the dock and enjoy a beautiful sunset along the river. I highly recommend staying here you will not be disappointed.

Relaxing Stay

I think this property is a good option for a fishing weekend or just to relax with friends! The place was well stocked and is right on the river with a boat dock to either just fish from or launch your boat. Diane made sure everything was great for our trip! There are lots of things to do close by and several good places to eat. I plan to come back soon.

Just what we needed!

We so enjoyed our stay at The Riverhouse! The location could not have been more peaceful. Diane provided all of the items one would need for a stay and she was great with communication. We certainly appreciated and followed her recommendations for things to do and see in the area. Calico Rock has a quaint Main Street and a wonderful visitor’s center. There are also several things to do in Mountain View, a short and scenic drive south. We plan to return in the Fall to take in the colors! Thanks again, Diane, for a great stay!

I am a retired educator from Northeast Arkansas. We purchased the Riverhouse in 2012 and in 2013 purchased another house in the area.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

The property can only be seen from the river unless you drive down the private drive. There are only 5 houses so it’s is a quiet neighborhood. The screened-in porch overlooking the river is my favorite place for morning coffee and relaxing in the late afternoon.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This property comes with its own private boat dock for parking your boat during your stay. Our guests enjoy fishing from the boat dock, watching the eagles fly over and the cows drinking and cooling off across the river from the pasture. There are not many boat docks on the White River in this area and one of the main reasons we purchased this property.
