Marche pour cette cabane au bord du lac isolé dans DownEast Maine

Profiter d'une retraite au bord du lac isolĂ© dans Down East Maine. DĂ©tendez-vous sur les rives par vous-mĂȘme. Sans voisins sont proches ou en vue de la cabine. Passez votre temps tranquille Ă  regarder l'eau, le canot pagayer, profiter de la nature, ou de se reposer dans les chaises berçantes sur le porche. La cabine regarde vers le bas sur toute la longueur du lac et repose seulement 15 pieds du bord de l'eau. Prenez le canoĂ« pour explorer le lac vierge. Peu de bateaux ou de gens explorent ce lac.

Un magasin à manger / confort est à seulement 7 miles de là. De plus, vous avez un excellent accÚs à la mer et aux randonnées pédestres à Bar Harbor (2 heures), Machias (1,5 heure), Winter Harbour / Schoodic Point (1 heure), ou plus grand à Ellsworth (1 heure), Bold Coast (2 heures).

Vous marcherez une belle piste de randonnée d'un tiers de mile à travers les bois pour rejoindre la cabine. Lorsque vous atteignez la cabine, le bleu du lac, une cabane en rondins humble, et une vue panoramique vous accueille immédiatement.

MarchĂ©s fermiers: Si vous aimez la cuisine locale, ne manquez pas de visiter les marchĂ©s estivaux amusants de la rĂ©gion. Voyagez environ une heure vers le port de Winter mardi matin. Veillez Ă  conduire vers le haut de la tĂȘte Schoodic, marcher le long de Schoodic point pendant que vous ĂȘtes lĂ . Le samedi matin, vous pourrez visiter les marchĂ©s de producteurs d’Ellsworth, de Milbridge et de Machias.

Sentiers de randonnée à proximité: La cabine est proche de nombreux sentiers de randonnée. Lead Mountain est à quelques miles au nord de la cabine. Schoodic Mountain est à Sullivan (1 heure sud-ouest de la cabine) et des sentiers qui montent les pics est et ouest. Les montagnes Caribou, Catherine et Tunk sont à proximité et un peu plus proches de la cabane. Quoddy dans Lubec (1, 5 heures de route) offre une grande randonnée bord de l'océan le long de belles falaises. Bel endroit! De plus, un réseau de sentiers de randonnée et de camping borde l'océan à Cutler (à 2 heures de route).

La route de la cabine est un chemin de terre. Le propriétaire maintient personnellement cette route. Vous aurez besoin de voyager lentement dans les lieux. Une voiture de sport ou une voiture lourdement chargé ne sont pas recommandés. Une voiture normale sera trÚs bien.

If you want an experience like a cabin at Baxter State Park, but can't get a reservation, this is your place. Not for the hiking, but for the woods, remoteness, woodfires, sitting on the porch, Loons,reading a book,canoeing, sunsets, fresh air, escape.

Surrounding woods and area definitely exceeded my expectations. A truly amazing clean green almost untouched area with clear waters and piney forests. Cabin was very comfortable and came with boats lights and everything we needed to have a great time out there. One of the best off the grid experiences I’ve had. Thanks again!

Three days felt like a step back in time in this classic camp. Nothing to do but be still in a beautiful place. The far side of the lake boasts beautiful rocks and views of Spruce Mountain. The water was warm, the air clear. Multiple boats for our use were great. We spent hours on and in the water. Christian was a generous and friendly host. Thanks for sharing this place with us.

Cozy Peaceful Cabin

Spent the weekend with my girlfriend and 2 dogs up at this cabin as a little getaway. It was very quiet, peaceful, relaxing. From cutting down and dead wood for the fire, to canoeing on the calm lake in the morning, and listening to the loons at night. The dogs absolutely loved the cabin as well. It is very secluded so they loved the off leash adventures nearby the cabin while we played games on the porch and even took strolls through the trails. We will definitely be going back because of how much of a great time we had. If you like the woods and want to get away, I highly recommend this stay.

Perfect Cabin on a lake.

We stayed for 3 nights, and it was lovely. The cabin is small and rustic and has all the basic necessities. The view is incredible and the swimming on the lake was lovely. Christian, explained everything perfectly and we had a great time.

Rustic Cabin

Hiker Paradise

This location is a hikers paradise. Travel light to this location. The hike in is rocky with exposed roots. The swimming was great. Cabin bed was very comfortable. Had a good time. Thank you for sharing this place with us Christian.

Wow!

This was the ultimate off the grid experience - so beautiful in every way - you’d have to experience it to understand the wonderful walk in to the property
 take my word for it - it will be an experience of a lifetime! Great host who is very passionate about the property and offers helpful suggestions. Highly recommend. Not for anyone with mobility issues.

Peaceful and Secluded

We loved our stay at the cabin and we were sad to leave. We enjoyed use of the kayaks and brought our paddleboard. The lake is beautiful and clean. Our dogs enjoyed spending so much time outdoors with us and going for their first swim. The cabin worked well for our family. It's simple, but that's what we were looking for. Spent a lot of time on the porch enjoying the lake view. Cooked over the campfire and played games at night. Christian met us the evening of our arrival and he was great to talk with. Highly recommend if you're looking for a secluded, peaceful, off-grid experience. We loved it and hope to go back next summer! Thanks so much Christian!

Get away from it all in this picture perfect cabin on a lake!

Rustic log cabin on a beautiful and quiet lake. We spent the day canoeing, reading, relaxing by the campfire. It was truly ideal. There was a spring nearby that you can drive to refill water jugs. We took the host suggestion and showered at the Airline Lodge & Snackbar. Great food, showers and laundry services. Christian met us on check in and walked with us the 1/3 mile to the cabin and showed us around. Lots of supplies still there from previous renters were also helpful. The bed was comfortable. Listened to the Loons call at night...perfect! We'll be back!

Best little get-away ever!!

We absolutely loved our stay and the only thing that would have made it better is if it had been for longer. If you are looking for a great place to unplug and unwind this is the place. Christian was great about communicating before hand and very easy to schedule things with - even when we missed the meeting place and he head to wait a few extra minutes. We loved reading on the porch, playing chess and some of the other board games there, canoeing, and making our own trails around the lake. We loved seeing and hearing the loons and owls too. This is a cozy, comfortable and awesome little place that we cannot wait to come back to visit again. Thank you Christian for sharing!

Perfect 3 nights!

After discovering this place last year; I decided to come back and bring my parents as a retirement gift. They talked about how amazing it was almost the entire drive home (7 hours). The cabin is perfect secluded getaway. My dog loved lounging around on the porch watching the loons. My parents took the canoe out a few times and we all enjoyed swimming in the clear water. We went up to Lebec one day for lunch and went to Quoddy Head, Boot Bay, and Hamilton Cove. Such gorgeous places. I don’t normally like to go back to the same areas to stay, when there is so much to explore, but this cabin is an exception. It’s just such a special place! Thanks Christian!!!

Perfect getaway

Chris was a perfect host. Met us at the trailhead, no hidden information. This place was like being in the adirondaks in the 70's. Very remote, , quiet, no motor boats or people. Very rough terrain getting in to the campsite, but worth. It. Cones, & kayaks accesable at shreline. Our pup especailly loved i it. Freedom off lease after 2 days of walking the same trails. Max loved it. Hopefully we can go back next summer for a month. Thank you Chris. Place is outstanding!!!!!!

I purchased this property from a friend who knew I would enjoy it. She heard me tell stories of how my grandfather was a park ranger. His campground was 7 miles from the parking area. I visited this place nearly every year from age 5. This cabin is a miniature version of grandpa's memorable campground.
