What a delightful spot!! Family vacation - 7 adults and 4 children. We had PLENTY of room!! The backyard is incredible and we enjoyed the fire pit every night. Leave electronics and worries at home Upper Scott Lake Retreat is perfect for a family get away.

Family vacation

We have a family of 14 - 7 adults & 7 kids ranging in age from 16 down to 8. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The fishing was fantastic & the lake was quiet enough for even the youngest kids to kayak. The kids loved the game room & spent the chillier days playing pool & fusball. We hope to come back next year.

We had stayed here last year and loved it. Everyone had their own room, the kitchen was stocked with all utensils etc. being on the lake was great!

Great Lake

Great property for a large group. We had 13 kids and adults. A couple minor problems and concerns. The smoke alarms went off on our first night, but not again. We have a granddaughter in a wheelchair and it was fairly tight in spots for her. The showers upstairs are tiny (all my kids mentioned this). The week we stayed it was really hot and there are only window air conditioners that kept blowing the fuse.

Close to home for us and clean! Loved the beachfront, the whole family enjoyed everything this home had to offer! Many large fish caught, so close to the home. Wonderful Property

This house and property were perfect for our get together. It worked really well for multiple families to share the space. Plenty of options on-site for activities to keep everyone busy. The lake was beautiful and peaceful. There's a great orchard down the road, nice local businesses in Pullman, and close to the attractions in Saugatuck and South Haven! I hope we get to visit again.

Family Vacation

My large extended family recently stayed at the property and had a great experience. The house was as advertised with plenty of room for everyone. The backyard and lake are great for kids. Proximity to South Haven, Holland and Lake Michigan made beach days east’s. We would definitely stay again.

Fall Weekend

Great get away for the whole family!

We had a great time, and everyone in our group aged 6-68 said they would go back! The beach front is perfect for kids to play in the water or fish off the dock. There's plenty of room for everyone to eat and play board games, and the game room is situated so that games of pool or movies don't dominate the sounds of the whole house. Check in and out was easy and we didn't encounter any issues that warranted contacting management during our stay.

Family New Year's weekend

This house was the perfect size for our extended family of 10! Check in was easy and the house was clean. The game room was the perfect area for kids and for watching football. There are 2 refrigerators, perfect for bringing your own food. The dinning room table was the perfect size for a family dinner and for playing card games. There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms.

Phenomenal stay!

What a gorgeous VRBO. Me and my group had the time of our lives from morning to day. The property is gorgeous and fit all of us comfortably between each level. The backyard leading up to the water was the highlight of our trip along with the grass and ample room from deck to water. The communication from the team was quick and precise and never seemed to be bother with any questions I had. Thanks again!

The owners fell in love with southwest Michigan on a trip to visit friends in South Haven nearly 15 years ago. As Chicago natives, they were immediately enchanted by the serene atmosphere and natural beauty — not to mention the extensive outdoor activities. Since then, they have embraced the tradition of spending holidays and summer weekends in the area, and it was only a matter of time before they decided to find a vacation home of our own.

They discovered this, their first gorgeous property, on Upper Scott Lake in Lee Township over ten years ago. They began renting the cottage there out of a desire to share their wonderful experiences there with others. Now with 8 additional rental properties, they love offering a simple countryside alternative to busy city life.
