Great Place to Stay in Jaco

Good size, good location, close to beach and great view of the ocean. Family of 4 stayed here. We had a good time.

The apartment was very clean and neat but unfortunately it wasn’t the easiest to communicate with the host. They have a strict check in time of 4 pm and no waiting area or place to leave luggage. They didn’t have anyone booked for the room before my stay or after my stay so it was confusing why the host refused to accommodate me. When I arrived, the security guards in the gate ignored me, there were no instructions on how to access the building. A bystander showed me how to communicate with security through a small hidden camera. No signs and even though security could see me, they offered no help and ignored me through the camera. A cleaning crew person actually let me in the building. It was very weird why security ignored me. When I arrived, the apartment was beautiful just like the pictures but the balcony door doesn’t lock and it was a huge safety concern for me. I messaged the host but they didn’t comment on the door not being able to lock. Check out time is at 10 am with no opportunity to check out later. I don’t think I would stay here again.

Amazing vacation home

We absolutely enjoyed our vacation in Costa Rica. This place was beautiful inside and out. The decor was giving peace and relaxation. It was nice clean & flowed well. Such a cozy place and we loved the ability to adjust the temperature in each room. The balcony breathtaking views of the beach. Perfect location! We felt like we lived here. Jaco we miss you !!

Nice building, not great location

The space was nicely decorated and had beautiful birds that flew by in the mornings. While it was nice to have gated parking I found it to be a hassle. The space smelled of mold. The location also did not feel safe to me and I would not stay here again.

Not the greatest, but hey! It’s Still Costa Rica!

Pretty far to walk into town. Very noisy where it is located from the coastal highway Jake Brakes all night. Cannot see sunset from the unit. You have to go to the roof. Big tree blocks most of ocean view. Property manager was very aloof and hard to contact. Internet was sketchy. Many horses around the building manure and urine leaking onto the beach. Beach on this end of town is dirty, very rocky, bring beach shoes! No physical security guard on premise. False illusion that security is there with a blacked out guard station. But nobody is in there! Security is controlled remotely. People got tired of long waits to get “buzzed in” so they wedged rocks in the doors to get back in. This made the entire building compromised! Poor design for rain management! While dumping and you have groceries, you’ll understand. Unit is located in very far south of Jaco (old section). The north end is hands down much better. But HEY! It’s still CR. But Not worth the $ in my opinion!

Beyond disappointing

The moment we walked into the condo we were met with a heinous odor that filled the entire place. It took days for the smell to go away with airing it out and using air fresheners. The smell was seemingly coming from the washer/dryer area which made them unusable, the odor was seriously making us gag (we will come back to this). The issue was seemingly a plumbing issue, which we understand is out of their control but we had to ask several times for someone to come look at it, they kept finding more issues with each visit. On our last day we decided to give the washer and dryer a shot since we were counting on having one and we desperately needed to wash our stuff, the washer didn’t spin the clothes properly, we had to wring all of our clothes out and had to dry them for HOURS. On top of that the WiFi didn’t work the entire time we were there, someone finally came and fixed it on our last day. It just felt like a lot of issues that really dampened our trip. The place is pretty, location was great, but the amount of issues we had seriously made staying there a bummer.

Amazing location and facility with the hotel feel.

This place is very new and modern. Safe and secure. Walking distance to everything!! The elevator was not operational the week we stayed but the stairway was well lit. So if you are 3-5th floor be prepared to get in some steps. The on-site washer and dryer had some difficulty spinning the loads. So takes a bit to wash and dry your laundry. Overall. Great stay!!!

A small condo with wonderful sunsets. Very clean. This unit has all the kitchen supplies you need, soaps, shampoos for more than week stay. Nice sherts, blankets, towels. TV all rooms with netflix. Just bring some clothes and toothbrush all ready for you.

Great condo but...

We arrived late in the afternoon after having eaten very little on our trip. The gate was open, so we just entered and parked under the building. We wanted to go out to get some dinner at about 6 pm and discovered the gate closed. Not having been told how the gate operated, we didn't dare risk going out and not being able to get back in. We tried contacting the local manager but never heard from her. Manager needs to make sure renters know that no code is required to enter. Unfortunately, we had no wifi the last three days. I called Vacasa and the person told me it was out all over Jaco. I waited for it to return, but never did (I know how to reset the router). No follow up from Vacasa and still was unable to get a response from the local Vacasa manager. Communication and customer service left much to be desired.

Great condo in an amazing location

The positive: We really enjoyed the modern look of the apartment/condo. It was a bit smaller than I thought, but it worked for my family of 4. My two little girls enjoyed playing in the pool, it was perfect for them. It was a really short walk to the beach also, and close to all of the restaurants in Jaco. The negative: The apartment could have been cleaned much better in the kitchen and in the living room area. There were some stains and residue left behind that was not cleaned up. Overall: We would stay there again on our next trip to Jaco.

Very nice.

Very nice property, steps from the beach. Beautiful view to watch the amazing sunset. Clean ,new, modern apartment. The balcony is perfect for morning coffee and bird watching and evening drinks but could use an umbrella for shade during the day. How ever, the beautiful beach, warm water and soft sand, is where to be during the day. Communication with Vacasa while at the apartment was prompt and very smooth.

Very nice apartment

Very nice new apartment. Modern design through out. Lovely common pool and patio area. Very easy entry to apartment complex via the intercom. The apartment has a lovely balcony with beautiful ocean view but there is no umbrella for shade and it is too hot to sit on till about 4:30 when the sun sun starts to set. Nicely situated at the south end of Jaco beach, a lovely stroll down the beach to town. AMAZING views of the sunset! Being so new, bring essentials such as salt, pepper and spices; coffee filters, dish soap, dishwasher and wash machine detergent are provided. Enjoyed our stay.
