Venez explorer Elephant Walk, un complexe accueillant les chiens, qui permet de se rendre à la plage et à la ville, conçu pour faire des souvenirs pour votre groupe de 36 invités maximum. Il fournit de multiples lieux de rassemblement à la fois à l'extérieur et à l'intérieur tout en garantissant une grande confidentialité en même temps. Ceci est une liste pour notre Cottage 1, qui offre 2 chambres à coucher et 1 salle de bain. Sur le même terrain, il y a 4 autres gîtes qui offrent une cuisine / salle de bains / espaces de vie complets et une maison avec 1 ou 2 chambres, ainsi qu'une maison principale, le point d'ancrage de la propriété et des maisons de 4 chambres / 3 salles de bain. Nous sommes les fiers propriétaires de Elephant Walk et avons hâte d'accueillir votre groupe! Nous ouvrons officiellement notre calendrier pour 2020 et n'autorisons les groupes (maison principale + au moins 2 chalets) que jusqu'au 1er janvier 2020. Nous ouvrirons le calendrier pour que quiconque puisse réserver la maison et les chalets séparément et permettre un échange instantané. réservation. Veuillez nous envoyer un message pour plus de détails et nous vous répondrons dans les 24 heures.

Beaucoup de travail a déjà été fait mais au début de la saison estivale 2020, nous aurons terminé la mise à jour des tapis / moquettes dans les chambres de la maison principale, une décoration / literie / peinture mise à jour dans chaque unité, une salle de jeux et des vélos ajoutés à la maison principale, le nivellement des sols dans les chalets. Restez à l'écoute car nous mettrons à jour les images au fur et à mesure que des modifications seront apportées, ainsi que d'autres mises à jour au cours des prochaines années.

--Les chiens ayant un bon comportement sont bienvenus. Les animaux de compagnie sont tenus d'être tenus en laisse à l'extérieur de la cour clôturée, et vous êtes tenu de venir les chercher après quoi les frais seront facturés.
--À compter du 1er janvier 2020, nous ajouterons la taxe de séjour de 6% MI au taux

Perfect Girl’s Getaway

Elephant walk (cottage 1) was perfect for our girl’s weekend trip. The three of us each had our own bed and we loved the little fire pit and circle of Adirondacks out back. We spent a perfect day at the beach. The location is is wonderful for walking to and from the beach and it wasn’t overly crowded. We will absolutely return to Elephant Walk. Thanks so much for the great communication and easy, clean stay.

Family Get Away

My columbus family was able to meet up with my chicago family in Union Pier for our first meeting of a new baby in the family! Thanks to Erica's great place, we were able to stay completely covid safe, keeping in our separate cottages and using the shared outdoor space to safely interact. We wouldn't have been able to do this without a set up like Elephant Walk! The beds are comfortable and the cottages are well equipped and a close walk to the beach- We will be back!

Very Poor Value

One of the bedrooms smells like stale cigarettes, kitty litter, and mildew. The other bedroom has a window A/C unit which was not insulated so we had lots of bugs enter the room through the huge, open gap and the room never actually got cool. Both beds were very lumpy. Every item we took out of the kitchen cabinets was either dusty, greasy, or covered with bugs and cobwebs. The entry into the bathroom had a large screw protruding from the floor which ripped several of my socks. The wifi was down more than it was operational. The next door neighbors left their dog barking for over an hour. Needless to say, we spent as little time as possible in the unit. We enjoyed the beach as much as possible and counted the days until we could return back home. I could see the potential for a cute, comfortable cottage but unfortunately it was rehabbed on the cheap and it showed. No wine glasses, cutting board, or teaspoons. We love Union Pier so next year we will definitely be looking for a different rental.

Wow. Well had I known any of this, I could have fixed or improved your situation. I give you my cell, I’m a mile away, but I heard from you not once! We count on our renters to properly clean the dishes because we don’t have time to inspect every dish upon turnover. As for smokers, I look over every unit when it turns over and smelled nothing of the sort (nor do we allow smokers in the unit… I would have smelled that instantly!) when I checked on this unit before you checked in. Not quite sure how it smelled like kitty litter since we don’t allow cats. As for lumpy mattresses, they are brand new as of last summer, Sealy, well made, not cheap. I state in the listing that there are window units so you know what to expect although we sweep for bugs at every turnover. As for the wi-fi, it’s the fastest, most expensive Comcast has to offer and this unit, in particular, is the cottage that is closest to the original router. But when I hear nothing from you all stay, how am I to know you are unhappy?

Family beach time

We rent every year, in Union Pier. Normally with another property. I chose this one this year, it’s a bit of a walk to the beach, but we knew that. The beach is great. i do wish they allowed dogs…. There was plenty of parking and the area (by our cottage) it was a quiet neighborhood. It has a nice little fire pit area. Within walking distance of The Whistle Stop, which we love! The cottage was clean and the AC worked great for the HOT temperatures outside. The bathroom and kitchen were a great size. The beds, ehhhhh, not the most comfy. Just drink more MI wine ;) The TV was nice and big! The kitchen was fully stocked with all dishes you would need to cook, drink etc. My complaint is- all the rooms/cottages are adjoined. Which is great if you know the people next door. The people in the main house were SO LOUD at 6:45 am. Their kids were out in the driveway SCREAMING and running back inside/outside which the door adjoins with from the bedroom i was in, into their entrance. Both mornings the kids were out there 6:45/7 yelling/crying/ SCREAMING. It woke myself and my son up both days. I was not very happy. Our neighbors on the other side, we hardly heard, but the main house, we heard a lot from.

Amazing stay and a beautiful house!!

We stayed at the Elephant Walk House over the thanksgiving weekend ! It was great from start to finish . Erica was great host and very accommodating. The house was clean and had everything we needed (rooms, tables, chairs, dishes, and games- we played scrabble). We rented the main house and the connecting cottage, which was great for our 90 years old mother. We also loved the ping pong table and the great back yard. We will be back!!

Short getaway with friends of 64 years.

We stayed at this property from 9/7 to 9/10, just after the Labor Day holiday. Based on the description of the property, location, local restaurants, and local shopping, the three of us were excited for the getaway but were disappointed when we arrived and tried to make plans. The cottage was fine but small for three of us and wasn’t as clean as it should have been, we chose not to cook or bake anything because of the stove and cookware. We shared a wall with the cottage beside us, there was a dog in that cottage who enjoyed frequent barking. We had expected to eat and shop in town as described but had a hard time finding many options to eat or shop due to seasonal closings. Per the description of the cottage, places to eat were available within walking distance. We still had a good time and made the best of it. It’s always fun spending time away with good friends.

Thank you for your review Nancy. Upon reading the noise issues that come up on reviews here and there, we've decided to add blown in insulation to all walls that are shared in all cottages. In some cases, we'll have to build another wall to account for the sound proofing but we will be doing this before Summer 2022.

Summer Vacation

This location would be perfect if you came with a group of friends/family and rented the entire complex. Parents with young children, it was hard in the evening with bedtime. You can hear everything happening in the other rentals- there’s only an inside door separating the units, that can also be opened if you knew the other renters. The yard was well maintained and cute mostly contained area for the kids to play. Location is great! 10 minute walk to a delicious bakery, a block to a restaurant and market, 5 minute walk to the beach. The beach was wonderful!

Favorite Vacay Spot

The Elephant Walk is the perfect stay in our favorite vacation spot! The little cabins are perfect for a weekend away. You are a quick walk to the beach and two of Union Pier’s best little restaurants. The new pathway on Red Arrow Highway makes it easy to bike into town for ice cream or a beer! Can’t wait for next year so we can visit again!

It was a nice cottage! The downfall was that the beach within walking distance of the house was not dog friendly! We ended up driving 15 minutes to Warren State Park daily so the dog could be on the beach as well.

Glad you had a nice stay Sherry, I have no control over that township rule for dogs on the the beach but indeed there are 2 big 100% dog friendly beaches up there, both abt 15 min away

Elephant house

The cottage was cute. The website said it had 2 queen beds. One of the beds was a double, ok for kids but 2 adults was uncomfortable. The back bedroom shares a wall with the main house and the people renting were loud after 12:00AM. Not ideal for multiple renters at the same time. The owner was very easy to work with.

Hi Lisa, I’m so sorry your visit coincided with loud guests. That’s happens about 2-3 times a year but that’s why I provide my phone number because I can contact those renters to make sure they abide by noise rules so had I known about it at the time I could have nipped it. That said, the price/night for this unit reflects the fact that there is indeed a shared wall in the off chance there are loud guests, which is the exception not the rule. I do feel bad that you experienced that during your stay. They are indeed queen beds by the way. I hope you’ll come back again because I consistently rent to all different groups at once and the vast majority of time it works beautifully.

Awesome Weekend Getaway

Elephant Walk resort was great. We rented house 1, and there was plenty of room for our family of 4, and plenty of things to do! The unit was modern, comfortable and clean, and the resort is just a short walk to the beach. We noticed that there was no parking lot for the beach, so it seemed to be locals only, and not very crowded at all! You are also right in the middle between New Buffalo and Warren Dunes, so whether it’s breweries or beach that you are interested in, this place has you covered!
