Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Big Blue House in Bethany West. It was spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable for kids & adults alike. From mornings at the beach to afternoons in the pool, everyone tried to keep cool during a week of sweltering weather, while the air-conditioned house remained a focal point for games & eating dinner together several evenings.The location of the house was perfect for shopping & visiting the Bethany, Rehoboth & OCMD boardwalks. Easy access to the major routes for getting in & out of town, plus the quiet neighborhood, made this rental a hit for all of us.

Great place with plenty of room for our annual group golf reunion. Very close to town and all requisite amenities like golf courses, restaurants, and shopping.

Great property within easy reach of the beach and lots of room and amenities. Had more space and rooms than we knew what to do with! Owner was very responsive for any questions or needs that we had. Wish we could have stayed longer and taken advantage of more of the facilities and amenities. Would happily stay there again!

Lots to do

We enjoyed our stay here, 4 generations gathered near Bethany Beach. This home has ping pong, pool table, 2 enclosed sunrooms, several TV’s, community swimming pools, tennis and pickel ball courts within walking distance. Nearby restaurants and shops and of course, the beach!

Happy Holiday Getaway

This home was a perfect meeting place for our extended family to share a pre-holiday weekend. Plenty of room for everyone to visit, cook, and relax. Adult weekend away

We were looking for a house to accommodate 20 adults. This house is exactly what we were looking for. Ina (property manager) was more than helpful and even gave us a gift for helping with an internet issue she was having at the house. Our trip was perfect!!

Very accommodating

From reserving and checking in and out, property manager very prompt and attentive. Very spacious with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, gathering areas... And quietness between spaces. This property served our family of 19 well! Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, two refrigerators a plus!

My family and I had a fabulous stay. My adult children and their friends were entertained all weekend and the pool table room. We drove to the beach and used the available parking passes that came with the house and when we went to dinner in downtown, Bethany, we walked to and from downtown Bethany, it was about a 20 minute walk each way, we could’ve taken the trolley instead if we wanted to, but it was such nice weather to walk. The owner was very communicative and responded to all of my questions within five minutes, check in was easy, we were given the code and let ourselves in. We will definitely be back.!

Had a great Family Reunion

The house was huge and nice. Had everything and knew if we needed anything, it was a phone call away. The owner was always available and was a wonderful host to ensure everything went well. If I could say one slightly negative, the courtyard by the grill (really nice grill but the grates are rusting) was really nice but absolutely filthy. We wished we could have sat outside for dinners but it looks like it wasn’t power-washed in a while. The pools were closed on Memorial Day weekend which was odd. Other than that, it was perfect for our very successful reunion of 20 people. I highly recommend this property.

Great house in Bethany

The house was big enough to fit 15 of us all in our own rooms / areas. Beds were mostly comfortable (one downstairs was a little hard). Furniture was sort of cheap and it was not spotless but we weren’t in the house much! There is ping pong and foosball in the garage, boogey boards/some beach stuff, a big room upstairs where the kids hung out, and mostly we took the trolley or drove to the beach/arcade/boardwalk using the parking passes. We had t to rent sheets and towels which was a little unusual (we usually go to cape cod) and rough coming from California but Ina helped us figure it out. Ina was helpful and a good communicator. We had a really fun week and enjoyed our stay!

House suited our needs but cleanliness was much to be desired. House had a musty smell throughout our stay even after A/C was turned on. Vents showed dust and grittiness, fan blades also showed accumulated dust and under the couch in the living room. Cleaning crew hired by owner is not doing an effective and thorough job. The outside grill and surrounding areas also need a good cleaning. The walls in all the rooms We enjoyed the pool

Regarding your comments about a musty smell, I want to clarify that we regularly inspect and maintain the property to ensure a fresh and clean environment for all our guests. We haven't received similar concerns from previous visitors. We had an awesome stay at this property and would book again if we'll be returning to Bethany Beach! I booked this property for a large friend reunion, and this house is perfect for larger groups. The house has two floors that are somewhat separate from each other, so also a great property for multi-family trips or trips where otherwise it would be helpful for everyone to have their own area. Property owner was very communicative and helpful, and while we didn't need to get in touch for anything urgent, I anticipate the owner would have immediately responded and done everything to resolve the situation. This property has four beach parking passes provided as well as access to the pool/tennis courts of the development its located in, which were nice touches. This property is in a very quiet, residential community, so this is a property that is a better fit for families and more lowkey, quiet groups (ie, this property is not a good fit for larger groups that will be partying / on the noisier side). The property has very pretty outdoor spaces (lots of fruit trees growing around the house) and outdoor seating / porches, which our group enjoyed using. Property is walking distance to the beach and lots of restaurants/shops, which was convenient. One thing to be aware of is that this property doesn't provide towels / bed sheets, so you'll want to make sure to bring your own or use a linen service. Property does provide comforters/pillows for all the beds.

Our large family, ranging in age from 8 years old to 84, really enjoyed this property. It was clean and well stocked with great space for gathering as well as separate spaces for smaller groups, and desks for a couple people who needed to work during the trip.The host was extremely responsive when a few issues came up and resolved things quickly.
