** Nouveauté VRBO ** Cabine avant du lac Douglas entiÚrement rénovée. Cette cabane est à 25 minutes de la région de Pigeon Forge / Dollywood et à 30 minutes du parc national de Gatlinburg / Great Smoky Mountains.

Notre cabine se compose de 2 chambres et 1 salle de bain. Le salon a une cheminée et la cuisine est bien équipée avec tous les éléments nécessaires. Grand patio extérieur avec véranda. Le patio est équipé d'une table et de chaises qui surplombe le lac et est partiellement couvert lorsque vous voulez un peu d'ombre ou s'il pleut. Il y a aussi un foyer sur la terrasse, idéal pour faire des smores aprÚs une longue journée passée à explorer le lac Douglas. Il y a un gril à gaz pour votre usage. La chambre principale a accÚs à une grande terrasse surplombant le lac Douglas. Il y a une rampe de bateau sur place pour ceux qui souhaitent apporter leur propre bateau. Il y a aussi un quai privé.

C'est un excellent endroit pour débrancher / décompresser car il n'y a pas de WiFi disponible.

Le lac Douglas est un lac fluctuant. Ses niveaux sont contrĂŽlĂ©s par la Tennessee Valley Authority. La saison morte est typique de septembre Ă  mi-avril. Pendant la saison morte, les niveaux du lac peuvent baisser d’environ 40 pieds. Veuillez envoyer vos questions concernant l'accessibilitĂ© du lac pendant ces heures avant de rĂ©server.

The host was very responsive and accommodating. While the cabin is a ways out from local attractions, it was so nice to come home after a hike or day of fun and enjoy the peaceful setting. The water was low but that was made clear in the listing and we still enjoyed the view! Beautiful sunsets! A couple of us even enjoyed a kayak out into the lake. We had fun exploring the dry lakebed. Couch and Beds were comfy! A regular coffee pot would be a nice addition, but overall we enjoyed our week!

Very quiet area. Beautiful quaint house with a big deck area. Cute screened in porch. Very clean and it has everything we needed. The lake was drained more than I expected. Maybe show pictures of what the property looks like when this happens in the off season. A little tricky at first to find the road. We had a pleasant stay!

We really enjoyed this cabin! Perfect size for our party of four adults. It was very clean and the location was peaceful and quiet. The lake was drained as explained in the rental description but the views were still nice and you could make it to the water if you wanted to walk. Close to many attractions but not in the middle of the traffic. Beds were comfortable and we had plenty of towels, blankets, and starter toiletries. The only info to know ahead of time is the “coffee maker” is a Keurig and not a full coffee pot so be prepared. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for the peaceful vacay spot!

The property was clean and well stock with essentials! There were a few board games for kids (some missing pieces as to be expected) and the lake was beautiful. The only downside is that there is no ladder on the dock which isn't the end of the world but very inconvenient. We had our 5 year old with us who always wants to swim and jump in the water so not having a ladder made it very difficult. Other than that everything was great.

Quiet Relaxing Getaway

Tucked back at a dead road, with beautiful view of lake. Private boat launch (shared with a neighbor), deck. Fishing every day with quiet evenings on the deck. Jason and Amy were great hosts.

Nice but Could Have Been Better

While the house and lake were nice, they lacked a specificity in terms of accuracy based on the photos. When people look to pick a location, the photos obviously play a big role in that process. This home showed a photo of firewood outside and even had directions for purchasing bundles of firewood inside the welcome binder. However, when I texted for details (since there was no firewood) I was told they didn't do that anymore. Not a huge deal but I don't think it unreasonable to have accurate updated photos as things change.Also, there was a stink of something that had died inside a storage room, which shares a wall with one of the bedrooms. I could smell it as soon as I walked in so opened the house up to air it out, which didn't really work. I informed the managers/owners about it (and had to sleep on the couch because I couldn't use the bedroom) but nothing was done; no one came out to address the situation.
Here's the storeroom door I had to prop open to try to air out the house from the dead animal smell.

Cabin for younger people only

Our stay was very pleasant and our hosts were very kind and friendly; however, there were some issues that weren't identified until it was too late to cancel. Based on the listing description and photos, we thought this was a single level cabin. Unfortunately there was a Very Steep step down into the master bedroom and no handrail for assistance. If you have any disability with your knees, hip or back, I don't recommend this cabin. Also, we were not aware that they drained the lake starting in Sept, so there was no lake/dock for us to enjoy. We were also advised we could not use the fireplace which was one of the amenities we were looking forward too, but unable to use. There was no where to put your belongings, so living out of your suitcase while on the floor was the only option. Finally, there is a beautiful oak tree outside of the master bedroom, so be prepared for those acorns to land on the roof...all night long. I recommend bringing your own cookware or eating out as some of the frying pans are quite old, scratched and stained from previous guests. Overall this is a cozy little cabin, but with a few upgrades it would be a charming place to go back to...at least in the summer when the lake returns.

Lake Cabin

Great stay. Clean, cozy, and off the beaten path. It would be a great place to stay- especially in the summer! For sure try to check in during the daylight hours. It is hard to find in the dark. 😊
