We only stayed one night but really could have stayed longer. Went kayaking at Pictured Rocks and explored a few waterfalls. If we stayed longer it would have been fun to kayak right there in Au Train. Campground staff were so friendly when we checked in.
Cabin was very nice and clean. There were lots of family/children friendly activities on the grounds such as swimming, kayaks, paddle boarding, tetherball, basketball court to keep everyone having fun. Lake Superior is close by for swimming or hanging out at the big lake. Will definitely stay her again.
The cabin was warm and exactly what I expected. I enjoyed staying in a historic style cottage, we have all the amenities we needed. There were several upgrades that I could see the owners are working very hard to revive this classic family resort. Weâll go back for sure!
This cabin is right on Lake AuTrain in a lovely campground/resort. The cabins are nicely spaced apart. There is great access to the lake from a beach and a large deck with easy chairs. The owners are super nice and responsive. We rented a boat for fishing and had a great time. The cabin was cozy, well equipped, and super clean. We spent a week there to go grouse hunting in the national forest and enjoy the sites. We had a terrific time
I guess we did not pay close enough attention when we read the description. I read that they had sites for motor homes but the pictures looked like they were on one side of the property with the cabins distanced from them. Not the case. Too noisy and crowded. Plus the cabin we had was dirty, small, and dark. On the plus side, the host was as accommodating as she could be under the circumstances.
Host was friendly and very prompt in responding to messages. Cabin was very nice and amenities were as described. Beautiful area. Would definitely recommend and will go back
